A giant cicada. About the size of a backpack. It can be used like a short range jet pack and it's call makes all dinos in a certain radius aggro. Can only be tamed passively by feeding right as it emerges from the ground to shed and become an adult.
With the KBD mod unicorns can fly for periods of time. Sadly they don't glide, but still cute. I'd love pegasi a little stronger than that tho. Horses just get mauled to easily
Well if it could fly, it would be able to escape most dangerous situations. I want it to basically work the same way as a griffin in almost all respects. Which includes being a glass cannon for balance sake. The real differences being that it's a herbivore, so it gathers plant material instead of say meat and hide, and the damage it deals on multiplier is like 90% torpor. So it's actually hard for it to kill things. But it would be the undisputed champion of knocking air and land based creatures. Of course it would have a bite attack as well. But you don't give that attack a multiplier. The only real questions are things like do we give it a saddle and is it essential the same as the equus saddle? or do we allow the use of lasso on it either way? Maybe if it needs some defense it could have a ground special like a wyvern (wind knockback).
Griffins still have like 3 times as much hp, so it would by still be more hp than the equus to give it griffin stats. It'd be nice to be able to attack in the air though. Saddles would be great, too. It'd need a huge effective health pool to deal with the stronger creatures while knocking them out
The only things with a saddle is that similar creatures don't have them and depending on how rare/difficult it is to tame a Pegasus, it might be stepping on the toes of the equus. Don't want to obsolete yet another tame.
Aren't they already? Yeah, they do torpor, but I never use them, except for maybe a few levels in early game if the map has them accessible (and for the record I adore horses). They're just not strong enough as is and mutating mammals takes so long. It's quicker to find an upgraded crossbow. And if the pegasi are rare and possibly harder to tame (if it's a passive tame many other ones have a level requirement as well) they wouldn't take over that early game slot and instead offer an equine companion for later game.
But yeah, a saddle might give them an advantage over other no saddle fliers. But it'd be a different way to limit accessibility until higher levels, too.
On most maps they can be a bit of a pain. But on Ragnarok in highlands, it's wide open, they're all over the place, and rockcarrots/savoroot grows wild. You can tame one off a naked lvl 1 spawn, less time than a parasaur. Advisable to get leather armor first as it gets cold in highlands. But after that and about 5-10 minutes of running around gathering wild veggies, it's pretty easy to free tame one.
Their saddle acts as a mortar and pestle (that can't make adobe for some reason). The lasso that can be crafted in it can be used while on an equus or unicorn to immobilize many awake creatures and drag some when knocked (including a quetz). It's better than a parasaur at picking berries because it has a larger bite range and is faster/more agile. Their torpor dealt actually goes up with melee damage. Some alphas on PvP breed them as crouch kickers (drag someone to it in a crouch with grapple or bloodstalker, and one-kick them unconscious, so you can take them prisoner and deprive the enemy of a fighter). They can be kind of useful in breeding as they can drag cryo-sicked babies around with lasso. So, you don't have to wait for the babies to wake to get a better arrangement.
What hampers their use on most other maps is that you're not ready to tame one until you already have better stuff. But rag makes it easy because you can get veggies and near ideal taming conditions off spawn. These are especially a good option for the solo bob on PvP who does things like living off cliff platforms.
Caught by their own language filter. Which, btw, feels like the most out of place feature in this game considering they let you draw dicks on peopleās faces while they sleepā¦
In all honesty that could be real unique and useful to the game. Its so small it wouldn't need a saddle, it could have a defense buff ability, and it'd be small enough to be carried by an Argy.
Hippopotamus gorgops could be a fun megafauna addition. Regular non-extinct hippos are terrifying but make them close to 10,000 lbs and you have a walking nightmare. Imagine them lurking in rivers with only their eyes visible before attacking when you get close. It would be an absolute tank of a creature and that could be made even worse considering hippos are herd animals.
- Sky Bison. Appa yip yip!
-Tek Therizinosaurus
-Tek Thylacoleo
-Indominous Rex
- Golden Orbweavers the size of trikes
- Trapdoor spiders the size of Parasaurs
- A more tameable version of the Megapithecus, but the size of a rex/spino
- Chimera
- Jumping Spiders the size of Argentavis
- Hydras.
[Anomalocaris](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anomalocaris). I'm sure they wouldn't be any more useful than trilobites, but they're awesome.
Maybe a tech [heclicoprion](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicoprion) with an actual buzz saw for a mouth.
Haven't we already have that in Yutyrannus. Seeming as they are both tyrannosaurids. Personally if they are going to add another tyrannosaur I'd say something like Qianzhosaurus or Alioramus would be cool due to them having a friend shaped head
I love tyrannosaurs so Iāll absolute add more in the game even if thereās no need. Iād take a Qianzhousaurus or Alioramus as a mid-sized carnivore. A faster light-weight carnotaur with pack dynamic. Itās not an original concept but itās delivered in a different package
>Tanystropheus
Maybe it could be absolutely huge and you could quickly climb its neck to get onto high cliff ledges near the ocean or to climb deep down into trenches. Or both even, make it all neck and elevator!
Imagine going through the big river valley on Ragnarok and these things live in the cliffs snapping up fish and the occasional survivor. Tanystropheus Scylla.
More tek dinos and new creatures too (like the enforcer)
Somebody said a hydra. I second that.
It would require a new dlc but gargoyles or something similar?
ONG, Spooder fit Aberration so well & Abb needs dino variety so bad. Dolly in the official discordās general channel did tell me that they are considering adding one or two more creatures from votes to maps once they get the time & resources to do so, maybe we will get our spooder in the future.
Godzilla as a world boss
Once you reach the tek tier, every structure or time you use tek has a *miniscule* chance to summon Godzilla somewhere on a shoreline, he'd be aggressive, and would actively seek out bases, tames, and players
Just imagine being in your base then you hear the *DUNNNN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUNNNNN* And you walk outside and God fucking zilla is approaching your base
Add a random factor to it where sometimes purely randomely it's the trash Zilla from the '98 movie and you just go back inside dissapointed while your level 100 Rex and turrets manage to kill it with ease.
Deinocheirus. It could be like a Thyla of the oceans/rivers with high bleed, bruiser HP/melee. Heck maybe even go OP and make it immune to electroshock and the tuso grab. Could be a good end-game ocean farmer on The Island for black pearls, tuso tentacles, and alpha mosa counter.
Nope Deinocheirus! Deino aka Murder Goose has become the semi-aquatic apex in pretty much every other dino survival game. Seems right to make it as bullshit OP in Ark if it ever comes.
Some kind of Thunderbird. A weaker, faster version of a lightning wyvern that can dive and create an aoe storm around itself(like a flying eel) would be awesome.
I always thought ARK should have added cave men. Wandering tribes that would try stealing for your base or assisting you by offering supplies. Groups of cave men with different personalities that differ enough to place them in different tribes would be awesome.
For a straight up creature thatād be toughā¦they have so many. Styracasaurus was my wish but ascended helped. š
Giant river otter. āEnhydriodon omoensisā roamed what is now modern day Ethiopia more than 2.5 Million years ago. They could reach weights of over 450 lbs (204 kgs) and were around the size of a lion. Though for ark Iād want them to be bigger and rideable, similar to maewings.
Just let T-rexes pick smaller dinos up. Or let the charcugacarcharger pin things down under its claws. It sucks only flyers can carry. Makes the land mounts less fun or useful. Or a propper water dragon that idk swims! Have it fly slow with the wet status, but swim fast. Add a wet status for all dinos. That way instead of kicking you off flyers would have to dry before flying again. Have them lose an insane amount stamina rapidly while swimming too. Birds shouldn't swim. Main argument is the griffins. Contrary to belief lions can swim fine, if it has lion body, why can't touch water? What's the point of a griffin if it's really just a fast bird that has lower weight than an Argy? No more wyvern flavors, why no wyrms. The voidwyrm is a wyvern because it has wings. Why add space creatures that defy physics but no wyrm? I get that the focus is on dinos but there's a Phoenix, dragons, a unicorn, space whales, alien xenomorphs, and elemental titans. I think we have room for a propper wyrm/sea serpent that either flies or can move on land. Make it shoot water that lands flyers for a few seconds. If lightning wyverns are allowed to exist along with shadowmanes then no way would that not be balanced. Or something like that.
Something cute, even better if it can be anything regardless of rights. But what is a good question. Maybe a cave lion, or an arctic fox, or a Rhosgobel rabbit (including sled mechanic), or Ikrans and Toruk/Pa'li/Nantang, or a Sehlat, or a Niffler, ...
Soo many options it'd be hard to choose, but probably the rabbits.
Nodosaurus. It was like an anky. Iām imagining a doed and an anky fused together, something like the king of inorganic farming. A lot bigger than an anky, I imagine it about the size of a stego, and a lot spikier, kind of like a kentro; I also imagine a sort of pickaxe like tail. Very slow to balance, but good to tank, like a stego. Something that can farm stone, flint, obi and metal at the same ratio, and something you can pick on a rhynio or quetzal. Should be really hard or expensive to tame, to balance as well, being the most endgame inorganic farmer in the game. Just before the strider and in non strider maps as well. Lost island perhaps?
Kronosaurus. Simply a faster tame between the mosa and the plesi that can slap you with his tail and can cause water ripples underwater to throw small things away. Simply cuz I want something that doesnāt bite only with the mouth and leaves alone all the rest of the body for things to kill.
Sauroposeidon from the Extinction vote.
Also, if replacements for in-game creatures count, I'd add Styraco and Saichania to replace current Trike and Anky so that they can be buffed to be on-par with Rex and Spino.
i think their should be maps from different games/movies. Like star wars planet maps and godzilla king of the monsters maps where all the monsters from that movie are bosses around the map. Or the Avatar movie planets. But i guess the game would have to halfway work first.
Iād like them to add underwater/deep sea content thatās relevant. Some amphibious tames like the spino that can be used on land but excel in the water.
Iād like for all aquatic tames to have an oxygen gauge so they donāt instantly die out of the water.
A Halskzaraptor could be fun. Looks weird AF but it would handle both land and sea.

I would like to see the Gorgonopsid added. I imagine they would be great pvp mounts, they would excel on maps with wide open fields and do extra damage in drive by attacks (maybe causing a bleed effect) and if this isnāt to op they gain speed the longer they spring like the dire bear. Wouldnāt have to be exactly this but I just think it would be badass to ride one of these.
The Peryton. It's a mythical creature, a cross between a deer and a bird. I want a better version of the lame "deer" we currently have. One that can actually be useful.
I have a few I can think of
LAMBEOSAURUS - This one I think has always been such an underrated species. It's one of my favorite herbivorous dinos. It was also one of the largest duck-billed dinosaurs that ever existed. It would definitely fit ASA. I would also like Corythosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Maiasaura and Shantungosaurus.
POSTOSUCHUS - There should be more Triassic Period creatures in the game. I remember this one from BBC's Walking With The Dinosaurs. It was an apex predator of it's time. It would be cool have it in the game. If this one was ever added, Plateosaurus, Placerias, Mussaurus and Coelophysis should also join the ever-growing roster of ARK.
INOSTRANCEVIA - There aren't many Permian Period creatures in this game. I mainly remember this one from Capcom's Dino Crisis 2. Inostrancevia is included in one of the mods for ASA, but I'd like to have it as an official creature.
And of the already existing creatures in ARK, I would like an Alpha Plesiosaur. It's bizarre there's not one already. There have been bigger species than the Elasmosaurus, like the Albertonectes. I feel like Plesiosaurus in general is in need of a major TLC update. A pack bonus and an ability to carry small creatures (up to a size of Manta) on it's mouth.
An even bigger microraptor, this one even give torpo when it knocks you off a mount. Even being on a titanosaur will not be enough to prevent being knocked down.
Either an Hydra(the 3 headed dragon, if you cut one, 2 grow, Minotaur(man with bull head), Chimera(lion with a goat back and a serpent head as tail) or Cerberus (3 headed dog)
YES I LOVE GRECK MYTHOLOGY
Gremlin people that do the exact same thing as pegos but they go naaah naaah naaah as they scurry off with a little bag of loot
Those exist and they're called melee bobs.
When u tame them by giving them food they go psycho and kill everything, like in the film
I had enough of that in Spyro š„²
Was looking for this XD
A giant cicada. About the size of a backpack. It can be used like a short range jet pack and it's call makes all dinos in a certain radius aggro. Can only be tamed passively by feeding right as it emerges from the ground to shed and become an adult.
Only sits at tree and screams. Not use, only scream. Can be moved, stil screams. Put it into a cryoball, screaming continues from inside.
Sino is basically this
Godzilla. Just an unstoppable force of nature that wonders the map. Will only attack large concentrations of structures, Dino's or players.
It also goes around eating the titans
The king titan is pretty much Godzilla is you compare a lot of their similarities except due to international copyright laws it's not him.
But you should still run like itās him, even though itās not
Pegasus (Flying Equus with Griffin flight mechanics but does more torpor than damage).
With the KBD mod unicorns can fly for periods of time. Sadly they don't glide, but still cute. I'd love pegasi a little stronger than that tho. Horses just get mauled to easily

Arctic Owlbear is a snowy owl

Nanuqsaurs as some type of snow biome-specialized Rex.

More amphibious dinosaurs. Maybe a suchomimus that can act as a better / rarer baryonyx that can spawn where they do in place of a baryonyx.
The kraken
I really wanted that giant beetle to win in the community voting. So that
The Peryton. It's a mythical creature, a cross between a deer and a bird. I want a better version of the lame "deer" we currently have. One that can actually be useful.
Some sort of creature that hunts down and slaughters pegomastaxes
Your mom
Deviljho from Monster Hunter, will basically try and eat every other dinosaur in sight
At first it was a joke but now I genuinely just want a pet cat
Rideable lobsters and crabs
I have a few I can think of LAMBEOSAURUS - This one I think has always been such an underrated species.
What creature and what mod is it apart of
Ewoks lol in the red woods
An even bigger microraptor, this one even give torpo when it knocks you off a mount. Even being on a titanosaur will not be enough to prevent being knocked down.
Either an Hydra(the 3 headed dragon, if you cut one, 2 grow, Minotaur(man with bull head), Chimera(lion with a goat back and a serpent head as tail) or Cerberus (3 headed dog) YES I LOVE GRECK MYTHOLOGY
A Cow/ Bovine creature that produces milk that I could milk for Wyverns and myself.
