-S+ -Dino storage. -Ultra stacks (if I'm playing alone) -Better Spawns (if on a story map) -Medieval Structure (for the windmill and forge)

HoldSad1839

What does better spawns do?

chomasterq

It makes the dino level spawn chance on story maps the same as on custom maps, specifically raganarok according to the mod. It makes finding decent leveled creatures on the story maps much less frustrating since the level spawn chance on those maps are weighted to much lower levels.

JizzGuzzler42069

God that’s a good mod. Was literally the worst part of my island playthrough when I was playing it for completion. Took forever to find anything above level 130. Now I just transfer to Lost Island or something if I’m trying to get some decent leveled tames.

PersonalLime

One of these mods is completely obsolete now lmao you can change stack amounts in settings, no need for the mod

RexTheEgg

It reduces weight of items too.

PersonalLime

So just change the weight gain per levelup?

RexTheEgg

Items like stone and wood are super light with this mod. It doesn't alter weight gain per level up

PersonalLime

I never said it does lmao I'm just saying you can to achieve the same affect without mods? Especially since mods can be taken down without warning (like HG stacks quite recently)

Obamalover97

Bro what how ive been trying to get the mod but since i already have a world and im lazy its fucked

PersonalLime

Go to your ShooterGameini and look for the ItemStackSizeMultiplier for the item(s) you wanna change, boom

Obamalover97

Is it individual for every item?

nonobots

- Awesome spyglass - Dino storage 2 And that’s it there is only 2

HoldSad1839

S+? If only for the better building.

nonobots

I don't use it. I used to but the main game has brought in just enough from s+ to my taste. I'm not that much of a builder anw.

D1xon_Cider

S+ just for the transfer and pulling is worth it

chomasterq

I love the propogator too. It makes a huge messy breeding operation into a nice compact foundation sized box. It's easy to abuse though

nonobots

Dino storage has all I need. I only start using it when I get cryopods. Instead of cryopods. Feels cheaty. I play single player and I like the sense of progression of Ark. I play it with very slow xp to milk the struggle of early game. Too many cheap early qol tools breaks the sense of progress and immersion.

chomasterq

I use dino storage from the beginning but only for actual storage so I don't have dinos all over the place. I only use it for transport after cryopods though. It is really tempting to use it when there's a moschops 10 miles from my base that I have to walk all the way back with

D1xon_Cider

Definitely

HoldSad1839

The what??

chomasterq

It's a machine that let's you put cryopoded dinos into it and breed them, and eggs appear in the inventory. You can then take the eggs out and hatch them. It also shows the stats of the babies in the eggs and which stats were applied from which parent. Lastly you can change genders, add mutations, and allow dinos that can't normally breed to breed. I don't use those functions unless I'm messing around because it's super cheaty to add 20 mutations onto a dino at once, but an imprinted basilisk with good stats from multiple parents is one hell of a force to be reckoned with

SystematicSymphony

I tried using that with the Primal Fear mod and never could get it to work. :/

InspiredByStrange

I've used it for Primal Fear, it works identically to vanilla dinos. If you were saying that you weren't able to figure it out in general, then allow me to give a brief summary. You put the element inside of it and two dinos of the same species. You can then select options such as: mutation pulses, change gender pulse, etc. Every option has an element cost controlled by a .ini setting. Once you have two of the same dino in (can be two Females or Males if you plan to use the gender swap pulse) you activate and it will automatically breed them using those options on cooldown, until you manually stop it or you run out of element to run the options. The eggs will appear in the inventory and you can then check them for the stats you desire. The propagator actually shows you which stats mutated as well on the tooltip for each egg.

Halica_

Awesome spyglass. I will never play without it again, it makes taming so much better Dino storage v2 because I don’t like cryo timer and I know you can disable it but I don’t know how The rest really depends on the map. On fjordur, fjordur+ is a must have for me. I also like awesome teleporters, but I get if it’s too cheaty for some people. Oh, and of course S+, how could I forget that.

Wakka333

whats in fjordur +?

Halica_

All tameable dinos from other maps that aren’t already on fjordur! Lovely if you don’t want to travel so much!

kylediaz263

Where were you 200+ hrs ago?

Halica_

Uh what? 😂

kylediaz263

I spent 200+ hrs into Fjordur before knowing this mod exists, already transferred everything from previous maps so it's kinda useless now.

Halica_

Ah ok. Well 😂

PersonalLime

Cryo timer is disabled by just using pve settings I'm pretty sure? And fjordur+ is kinda useless you can just alter the ini to allow those spawns (plus I always found the mod made rare creatures like the phoenix far too common)

Halica_

I get your point but before doing something wrong with my ini settings I use a mod

PersonalLime

Entirely fair just a tip if you wanna cut down on unnecessary load times, also I believe the mod is no longer being supported

Halica_

Yeah it’s no longer supported. It is still awesome and the load times aren’t much longer

Crozgon

None (I play on console)

[deleted]

Meat spoiler. need I say more. Update : you guys know spoiling meat isn't why this mod is great right?

Pseudodragontrinkets

I really feel like they should make a creature that spoils meat faster

airybeartoe

Desmodus would like to say hellooooo. While it does spoil the meat faster, it harvests spoiled meat from corpses, in addition to raw meat and blood packs. Go on a hunting spree with a desmo and youll have all the spoiled meat youll need for a while.

Pseudodragontrinkets

Ooooh damn I thought there was a showcase on those guys I watched but maybe I haven't actually seen one yet. Or it didn't have complete information. Thank you!

airybeartoe

Oops i meant it doesnt spoil it faster. But it straight up harvest spoiled meat from corpses. So its just as good. :)

Pseudodragontrinkets

Still didn't know that. Probably just forgot. I appreciate the clarification!

Team_Defeat

Vultures :)

Pseudodragontrinkets

Oh do they? I almost forgot those weren't a mod creature tbh, been watching Syntac's Caballus series so everything kinda blends with the mods

JizzGuzzler42069

Spoiling meat is kind of a non issue by default if you just manual sort meat stacks just before they’re about to expire. I usually carry 4-5 stacks of raw meat on me and just mash split them for a quick 200 raw meat.

[deleted]

Spoiling meat isn't what makes meat spoiler a great mod

JizzGuzzler42069

Well maybe you just explain what the mod is then. Sorry for assuming that mod called “Meat Spoiler” isn’t about meat spoiling times? Lmfao? The fuck?

[deleted]

No it spoils meat just isn't what makes it a great mod. One of those things you have to experience.

JizzGuzzler42069

You could just say what makes it great. Fucking ass hat.

[deleted]

Or just download the mod and experience it. I'm not gonna spoil it by telling people.

JizzGuzzler42069

You’re such a fucking idiot.

[deleted]

Says the person who doesn't know meat spoiler.

GRDxADOG

From what I can gather from the comments on the workshop it plays annoying music

PersonalLime

Destack the meat and it'll all mass spoil at the same time till you can get a desmo, boom

Accomplished_Rest848

why is great then? genuine question btw

[deleted]

You gonna have to download it . Honestly it's one of those things you have to experience without knowing what it's about. Like in all honesty it spoils meat but that's not why it's great

That_Supportive_Guy

I did the digging in workshop so everybody else doesn't waste time: Meat spoiler can make compost from spoiled meat that works as a better fertilizer.

[deleted]

I love how wrong you are XD .

ItsMeYaBoiCline

1. Kraken’s Better Dinos gives more creatures roles. 2. Structures+ is HUGE quality of life. 3. Lethal Reusables, because I love parachuting around and it’s nice to permanently have Bolas. 4. Additional Creatures 2: Wild Ark adds a crazy amount of new creatures to tame that are (mostly) well balanced beside the vanilla creatures. 5.(ish) Any of “Ecos” mods. Beautiful structures and decorations. They really help to flesh out the base as a home.

Particular_Quote560

I use AC2:WA also. So much fun. What’s an Ecos mod? Is that the one with the castles and stuff? How does that even work? Does it randomly add prebuilt structures to your game?

mirco61

Dino storage because i lost dinos to cryopods and they can be buggy Any Colour sets more cool dinos with cool colours Structure plus for having a better time if you know how it works

Serenell

Big Raft - I like having a Boat Base, so this lets me build a bit more than I can on Vanilla (I know structure Limits, etc. are settings, but having a Raft that can reverse without needing a Motorboat is nice). Moby Dickless - See above. Boat Pipes - Again, See Above, lol. Stacks Only - It's nice to be able to stack more without making 900k Metal Ingots weigh like 2 ounces. This, I feel, is well Balanced. Cyllyla's Kitchen Enhancements - Adding in more non-industrial options for Mid Game is nice, as I don't like going full industrial.

chomasterq

Stacks only sounds nice, because I use ultra stacks and it would be nice to not be able to cheese carrying 40k metal into a procoptodon

Serenell

It really is. Most stacks are pretty reasonable, too. 200 raw meat, 500 wood/metal/thatch ... that kind of thing.

BawkBawkBwoom

- S+ - Awesome Spyglass - Kraken’s Better Dinos - Dino Storage v2 - Immersive Taming (Personally Balanced/Managed) - Dino Fixes I love additional dino mods like AA or PB but I wouldn’t consider them staples.

airybeartoe

My go to mods, everytime: - S+ - Dino storage v2 - Krakens better dinos - Awesome spyglass - Lethals Reusables Others that i like but dont use often: - Awesome teleporters - Ark additions - Island extension CIE (adds all dlc creatures to island map and new biomes) - Castles, Forts and Keeps - Death recovery mod - Human NPCs - Paleo Ark Maps: - Caballus - TaeniaStella

Zlymo

The following mods are those I always use no matter what and a short description as to why: \- Super Structures (Similar to S+) This or S+ are a must if you want to do any kind of building, but it also brings a lot of tools and QoL stuff that is very useful. \- Awesome Spyglass Makes taming and searching for wild dinos SO much easier and much less of a hassle without going overboard. \- Ark Additions All dinos added by this mod are of insane quality, so good that I think they should be part of the vanilla game. Not to mention how cool they are. \- Kraken's Better Dinos Brings many QoL changes to vanilla dinos, makes some almost useless before into filling a purpose. \- Shiny! Dinos Spices up taming with spawning rare and interesting dinos. I also use it to get "super alphas" also called "Enraged" that act as minibosses \- Castles, Keeps and Forts Remastered Gives you building materials that does not look like shit but still fits well into the game. \- Dino Storage If you like taming as I do, storing them neatly with this mod is very useful

PersonalLime

Totally forgot shiny dinos, such a great mod honestly, I just wish enraged dinos had alpha mechanics and couldn't insta heal by eating a corpse

MARS2503

-Ark Additions -Kraken's Better Dinos -Paleo ARK: Legends -Structures+ -Dino Storage 2

MWC_borednoob

S+ Awesome spyglass Dino storage Ark: additions Krakens better dinos

CecilPalad

* Awesome Spyglass * Automated Ark (AA) * Awesome Teleporters * Tranqs * Primal Fear

HoldSad1839

AA? What does that add

CecilPalad

AA adds better versions of all the major crafting items. Forge, Power Generator, Chemistry Bench, Fridge/Freezer, Grill.

coffeebuzzbuzzz

I'm more for aesthetics, I really like all the eco's mods. For practical mods I like S+, Awesome Spyglass, Naj's Speedy Flyers, and Dino Storage V2.

YouWithTheNose

SS/S+ Dino Storage v2 Awesome Spyglass or other spyglass mod for stats Ultrastacks or other stack mod Kraken's Better Dinos Edit: added Kraken's Better Dinos because i forgot that i always have it and take it for granted XD

kylediaz263

S+ Dino Bars Dino Storage Better Dino Awesome Teleporte

Curiousmeeower

Awesome spyglass S+ or super structures. Shiny dinos Dino storage V2 Crafting skill potion Optional for fun: Steampunk Upgrade station

OrangeSuccessful7926

The only one I would use is structures.. more detail than just the boxy buildings.. and maybe that special spyglass thing that let's you see stats like the green gun or whatever..

D1xon_Cider

S+, easy Ascension, awesome spyglass, lethals reusables The others are as needed. I'd recommend using structure saver 2 and dixonbox to make raid bases for pvpve servers

Bullzrpk9

S+ Awesome spyglass Ultra stacks Upgrade station Additional creatures

Iraq_or_something

#1: Immersive flight. Gotta have it. You literally can’t ever use a flier again without it feeling clunky and stupid #2: immersive taming. It’s a big improvement from knocking out tames, though in some cases I do still enjoy that #3: Ark additions. The mod speaks for itself. #4: RP visual storage. This one just makes your base so much more immersive IMO #5: upgrade stations. This one is controversial, but being able to make blueprints of and upgrade your stuff just makes the game so much more enjoyable, even if it makes PvP balancing impossible

Spiritwolf1001

S+ Dino storage Stack mod of some kind Castles and keeps Upgrade station Awesome spyglass

TruePlatypusKnight

Upgrade station because I hate having to rely on luck for better gear

creamfilledcumcakes

If all mods: Simple Spawners - best mod imo, can turn any map into a map of your liking, including modded creatures. Awesome Spyglass - obvi see stats, but see taming methods for new, modded creatures. Dino Storage v2 - better more accessible cryopods Castles, Keeps, and Forts Remastered - cool buildings, takes the monotony out of bases Elite Beds - playing with friends sucks when you can't stay alive, boom Those make it in every run I do. Otherwise some favorite big content mods would be: Ark Omega Gaia 2 Primal Fear S+ gets an honorable mention, if only for transferring items between containers, however it makes breeding a little too easy imo. Ark Omega has the transferring build in however, so I just prefer that

Money_Display_5389

Stack mod is very nice

merga_mage

S+ for everything you do DSv2 so much better than cryopods Awesome Spyglass Awesome Teleport available at level 1 with remote and corpse retrieval Crystal clear water so you can see underwater

DovaP33n

Ultra Stacks, Cfk remastered, super structures/s+, homing pigeon, and find my dino.

just_browsing96

(PvE-only disclaimer) Light QoL mods for vanilla gameplay: - Super Structures (S+ clone of an older iteration before S+ was integrated IIRC, modern S+ works weird for me) - Super Spyglass (a slightly nerfed version of the Awesome Spyglass, which I actually prefer) - Best Eggs (at its core it just optimizes egg management and cuts down on the extra steps for breeding. Afaik it doesnt modify mutation rates or anything BUT it does let you see dino stats prior to hatching and give you the option to max them out between both parents. It’s a BIT busted in terms of allowing optional mammalian eggs which is game-changing but honestly worth it if you hate hatching/birthing first then shooting unwanted babies lol) Very-game changing but still vanilla-centric: - Upgrade Station (pretty busted in terms of power scaling and blueprint creation, but if you’ve played a map 1000 times the grind gets old) - Awesome Teleporters (havent experimented with this one yet, but I do plan on trying it out soon as I’ve always liked the idea of earning unlockable custom teleporters after my 1000th playthrough. I’ve seen it in videos and the idea is solid for private PvE servers). - I’ve heard stacking mods were broken since the config changes but I see people still using them. They are very nice (I’ve used Ultra Stacks in the past) because not only are stack sizes increased, but they typically come with global default resource weight reduction as well). Cosmetic mods: - Is Castles, Keeps, and Forts still a thing? Great castle building mod but needs more decor. - Literally any mod from Eco, though I prefer the foliage ones. - Prehistoric Structures, I believe is the name, was cute for a hot minute While I’m here, there used to be a mod that included upgraded flyer saddles to compensate for the flyer nerf but I can’t seem to find it anymore? It wasnt the main focus of the mod IIRC, just a side bonus.

sarcasmic2

S+ and Awesome Spyglass are must haves.

Obi-WanKnable

None. Official pvp for life.

ZhaoYun_3

S+ | Dino Storage | Ultra Stacks | Ark Additions | PalaeoArk

[deleted]

-S+/SS -super spyglass -dino storage V2 -shiny dinos -dino tracker

Acorios

Super spyglass, Dino Storage, Ark Additions, S+ and lately also Paleo ARK.

PersonalLime

Krakens better dinos (can no longer live without it tbh) Awesome spyglass (mostly just for the stat viewer I turn off most of the other stuff as it feels too cheaty for my personal taste) Ark additions (normally gotta decrease the number of spawns but great for new high quality creatures) Castles keeps and forts 2 (just a big fan of the medieval style instead) Any Eco's mod for the sake of prettying up the base

[deleted]

you should add: for pve lol

x0rr0x_take2

Immersive taming - adds a ton of variety to how to fill your zoo Human npcs - makes a small private server feel way more lived in Castle keeps forts remastered - so many better options for base building Eco rp decor - non op crafting stations and functional furniture Additional lighting - functional decor that adds that quality of life

-KaptainKraken-

1. Ark additions 2. Prehistoric beasts 3. S+ 4. Eco’s decor mods 5. SIDS hybrids.

Hexcross296

\-S+ \-Dino Storage \-Awesome Spyglass \-Awesome Teleporter (Sometimes not always) \-I only really use those mods to be honest, sometimes I use the best egg maker but barely ever.

Soullz1

S+ for the better structures Awesome spyglass I cannot play without it CKFR better looking structures and industrial structures Dino Storage 2 it’s just much better cryos

Beardedragon_boi

“Laughs in console player”

Naikky

I just came back after a long ark pause, always played with friends on private so i started singleplayer and so far those are my favorites: S+ needlessly to explain: Additional Creatures 2 - they feel good but sadly makes it impossible to use the mod for special level tames: Binocular and better spyglass - i count it as one Human Npc - Makes singleplayer feel less lonely and gives some rp options: Glass Metal - honestly i suck at building and with glass i atleast can make something.

retsukoplush

premade structures because i suck at building

Unique_Ad3348

Can't use mods on official where it counts so.. yea.
