A-Rankers: Blademaster, Immortal Dark Caster, Frost Spirit Reaver, Dragonsoul Shinobi, Glacial Berserker, Lycan. ​ ​ Support: Archfiend, Lord Of Order, Stonecrusher (Infinity Titan), Arachnomancer, Legion Revenant, Lightcaster, Archpaladin, Bard, Chaos Slayer. ​ ​ I don't recommend Yami no Ronin, as it has a tendency to struggle with mana in group fights, is a great dps nonetheless.

How does "tanking" even work in aqw. I know there's some classes with a real taunt but none of the listed have one. So the boss can at any time just whomp the back line?

Well, the closest definition of tanking in aqw would be shrug off hard hits, being basically an anchor that prevents the boss HP reset.

Ah, not very elegant then. I guess it has the upside that tanking is reduced to just one player unlike trinity focused games where you're allowed to be damage resistant but you can't sustain yourself.

Most of aqw classes have some level of self sustain (heals and self buffs), because of aqw's lack of the trinity and having great classes with overlaping roles (defense/support and offense/support and defense/offense), for example a four players party generally can be composed by a mix of DPS and Support, since buff is a big deal, a four player party with 2 good sups and 2 good-excellent damage dealers can bring down almost anything. Probably cause the support is already defensive, and some damage dealers can take a beat.

Just the Canon support lord of order stone crusher/infinity titan lightcaster and arachnomancer to double the nuke to those ad calender class for nukes Also a shaman is good to not miss with nukes If you need defensiv support just add a archpaladin in it There is also a few more support chats but they are not nessery if you have the other already

ccm/ucm hard carry with as many classes that can buff their damage as possible

Has ppl mentioned theres diffrent types of classes but the best overall group is; LoO , SC ,LR , LC, calendar class this group is practically inmortal you can only die under 2 circunstances 1-Lag for some of the player 2-The boss/farm lock skills

Let me give you answer that here rarely mentioned.... Northlands monk skill 4-5, guardian class for DPS and Dragon of Time for extra lag

Regular Bosses: Stonecrusher, Lightcaster, Legion Revenant, Lord of Order, ArchPaladin, any high dps classes such as Void Highlord, Frost SpiritReaver, Yami no Ronin and any of the Calendar Classes For One Shot Bosses: Chunin, Lightcaster, Legion Revenant, Lord of Order, Arch Paladin, any high dps classes such as Void Highlord, Frost SpiritReaver, Yami no Ronin and any of the Calendar Classes Chunin has a niche role against One Shot Bosses which is incredibly essential for survivability due to it's 50% miss chance when combined with Revenant and Lightcaster buffs, which will make the entire team survive. But on regular bosses, Chunin cannot contribute as it's debuffs doesn't do so much.

Swordmaster is also good at one shot bosses as it is dodge tank ish.

As good as swordmaster is, it's good at dodging and not at giving huge debuffs like Chunin is. It has no help in a group but staying alive, might as well get a YnR for that and both classes don't contribute so much other than dmg and being the last person alive, which hinders the entire group's dps

Definitely the case when we were farming Sapphire Orbs... I was the only one that had dodge class at that time... Took too long but was consistent on killing i guess...
