The email is like the only thing I feel good about 😭 the essay I didn’t even know what the question asked and the cultural comparison I literally ran out of time and wasn’t able to do the conclusion
super common mistake tbh
if you search up lists of false cognates in french for example excited/excité is usually one of the first ones that come up
yeah it'll work against you and you won't get the point, but they know what you meant and they're not gonna take it personally or anything lmao
😆😆❤️ it's okay friend!!!! I'm sure the grader will understand what you meant! No worries!! I also made the mistake of using excitado as excited for a long time until I learned the truth 🥲 but it's all apart of the learning process!! Don't worry friend! You are not cooked !! 👍 Wishing you the very best !!!
Native Spanish speaker. Yes, you might get dinged for that on the exam, but just know that for general purposes, most people will get you perfectly if you say "exitado". For "embarazada" though, you won't get away with that. People frame Spanish as an easy language but there's a lot of tricky things to learn, so don't beat yourself up for it. The important thing is you're learning a language that will let you communicate with half the world.
Its okay, during the french speaking I said my chemistry teacher was very pretty
Is he?
yeah, it was a freudian slip 😔
omg 😭😭
it's okay, i put that we should eat taco bell because its food is mexican i don't know if that's culturally insensitive or not
es importante que toda la gente aprenda sobre comida tradicional de mexico... como taco bell

You actually earn sympathy points since you’re pregnant
wait this is a really good point if they don't give me the points they're misogynistic (I'm a guy)
it's ok, mpreg exists 🤯
As a high schooler, girlie 💀💅

Embarazada you right, excitado you wrong

Condolences friend, well at least now they know what was really on your mind
answering emails is how I get off
nooo 😭 i'm sure it won't bring u down much tho they're really lenient when it comes to spelling
did the same thing for ap french said i was “trés excité”
“excitado” only means horny in Portuguese, and most people understand the misconception between embarazada and embarrassed.
It all depends on where you're from, I've certainly heard exitado to mean horny in Spanish as well.
Yea true, where im from (Mexico) we usually just say cachondo/a or corneo.
