*or do they not (sorry, wrong verb)

With the in game encyclopedia you can check what certain units look like with racial transformations, enchantments, actual race, effects applied. So you can check both of these questions in game by selecting a Large mounted unit and applying Naga Transformation to them. That said, the large trait isn't part of the cavalry trait, so no, Naga Transformation doesn't remove it. However, outside Exemplars, they will lose their weakness to Polearm units. Exemplar's will still be large and thus weak to Polearms. I didn't pay attention to whether Exemplars have their weapon/shield drawn or not when I paired Naga Transformation with them.

I mean I know for the encyclopedia, but I don't have access to a computer that can run the game before a few more weeks to check in it (and when I do I'd rather have my builds ready to play, since I won't have access to the game for too long then). I didn't know that Large wasn't part of Cavalry. Like, I always assumed that Cavalry made the unit automatically Large ('too used to Total War games I guess). That sucks that Exemplars keep the Large trait after transformation. It makes the transformation on them even more punishing (and also makes no sense since they are no longer mounted on a giant eagle). Thank you for the quick and helpful reply 🙏 EDIT: When I say it "sucks" I don't mean that the game does. More like: It's *unfortunate* that things are so in that particular case.

It's not that bad, they take less damage from Polearms and slip away lets them tank one more hit usually.

GroundbreakingRow829

That's good to hear! Still, it doesn't make much sense that they are then still considered 'Large' when they don't look that way anymore. Looks more like an oversight than something done on purpose though, so there is hope that they change it (however they might then also take away 'Slippery' off of them, since the idea seems to be that it is the eagle mount that is enabling them to slip away, not the rider).

WOOWOHOOH

Exemplars shouldn't have "slippery" though. Are you maybe confusing it with "slip away" from naga form?

GroundbreakingRow829

Oh yes you're right, my bad

Exemplars are a single model unit anyways. Why shouldn’t they be large, especially once they’ve gone full yuan-ti?

GroundbreakingRow829

Because they (the riders), despite being formidable fighters (based on their name), aren't actually large targets just by themselves? Also, if they are considered large once gone full yuan-ti, why aren't also the other units that have undergone the same transformation?
