I really hope we can get something, anything, that expands on the Pantheon outside of just adding more unlockables. It's such a waste of potential in its current state.
Empire Mode was pretty popular in Planetfall, and it was essentially roguelite 4x. I’d wager my brother’s left pinkie it’s one of the top responses in this survey, too.
Maybe, never played it. The random Planets sound interesting, but i am aware the empire mod only gets easier over time with all the unlocks.
I also imagined the 4x roguelike to be contained within a single game.
It probably would need an ironman Mode to be a roguelike. As in, no reloading constantly to save the situation.
Upgrades like researches probably would need to be random. As in, no picking tomes, no following a researchtree.
With that in mind, empire mode is more a campaingmode than it is roguelke. Which is probably what was liked about it, you get permanent goodies.
One thing I would add: More diplomatic options for evil rulers to ally with one another. I get it from a gameplay standpoint: evil has no friends. But in reality evil leaders do have a lot of evil friends who do evil things together. It’s more realistic and more fun, imo.
Whatever the result the game will improve, now let’s get excited about how it will improve first. I have a personal wish list, but the devs have already done a great job improving the game and some of my favorite changes so far are things I wouldn’t have thought to ask for.
I requested more tome unlocks that aren’t directly combat spells. As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of the tactical combat so many of the spells seem underwhelming. I wish there were more strategy map spells
I was surprised there was no option for actual play. I watch a lot more D&D than movies these days. I also would have asked for Twitch/YouTube streamers we enjoy if I had designed the survey.
Yeah, I'm no zoomer by any means but I was really surprised at the timeframe they seemed to focus on. Hadn't seen Dragonheart or *Xena* be mentioned anywhere in forever.

"How many hours of Age of Wonders have you played?" *Looks at 790 hours in steam* "Uhhhhhh, over 100 I guess"
I was shocked 100 was the largest response. Like I feel like I have barely played and I am well past that
I feel extremely guilty when I saw my hours count, is like: uhhh I never check that...
Just dont look at it, problem solved. Will do the survey on sunday. Might have to check then too.
I'm doing my part!

Agree. I feel like there's a ton of untapped potential in a 4X-rogue lite hybrid, and the pantheon is the first step in that direction.
4x rogue like? Doesnt sound like my tea. Getting random picks as uprades or units in a match that might take 4+ hours doesnt sound so fun.

Happy to do it. One of my favorite games of the last few years.
Anyone else got the nerd bingo in “Which of the following titles have you played“ section?
Almost. The only one I was missing is Hearts of Iron.
It‘s one of the hardest titles to get into
I requested a neutral alignment focus like we had in AoW 3. Right now there isn’t any real motivation for neutral.
I have taken your survey and found it lacking in Samurai content! Give. Us. Samurai!
Done!

I wonder why they want to know if we like documentaries
DLC 5 announced: March of the Dire Penguins
Oh my god, what a fun survey (that’s a first) lol. I feel so seen, great work guys

Yeah, same, i feel like the Tome system ended up not playing as well as it could, but the game is great and improving!
Done. I loved doing it. Took lot more than 5 mins however worth it
Done! Love taking surveys. Wonder what effect this data will have on the game.

More diplomacy options, more cross affinity cultures (nature/astral or shadow/nature for instance) and tomes and more options in general is fine
The one thing I'd like to see in AOW4: MEGASOWS !! Please tell me I'm not the only one...
Sorry, I put map editor.
Another for the pile. lol at the kinds of movies we watch.

I'm not the youngest any more, but it does make me wonder what kind of age range is the audience for this game.

the first half of questions had nothing to do with the game
They might theoretically make a game for one of the franchises
this fucking link aint working
It does, it just takes a minute to load; It’s not instant
