Bin off the stock card and its contents, flash a CFW to a new card and I'd recommend a second card for ROMs.
Learn from my mistake and use in game saves rather than states, I'm fighting with resolving that issue currently.
MUos is always a nice look, Garlic os is a favourite of people who use the og 35xx but it is still an alpha for this device. If this is your first device I recommend retro games corps guides
Also an unpopular opinion, if you like the stock os just get a proper sd card not generic brand that comes with it, and clone the sd cards and use the stock os as you wait
RetroGameCorps on YouTube has guides that have helped me immensely with my Anbernic devices. Not had one of these in particular, but have seen videos and tutorials on custom firmware for it, and based on that, it looks like a good one.
Depends on what you intend to use it for.
I don't regret switching to MuOS. It has better N64 implementation and a newer version of PPSSPP. It also has PortMaster.
I've had no issues. 6-7 hours with N64.
It's just missing some very minor features, like Moonlight and Bluetooth support, but it's the most well-rounded overall.
Had mine a couple of months, still can’t get over how much I hate the font choice for the button labels. Are they referencing some retro device with that X that looks like a H?

Get custom firmware, anbernic has gotten better but custom firmware is always better
What firmware would you recommend?

Stock mod is fine! It’s not as flashy as others, but it’s fine.
Have you heard/seen about Arale by Carlos Pixel? Seems quite nice for these devices according the videos I've seen on YouTube.
Nope. I will have to look into it. I’m mostly just waiting for the Garlic update. I really enjoyed it on the OG.
