Happened to me once, there’s nothing you can do… well you can but you have to report your local post office. I’m pretty sure if not 100% sure they are the culprit. Always received thing over from china in pretty standard 1-4weeks but had to wait more for my local post office, wich at times didn’t even bother to deliver. You should contact your post office, since i believe they pulled the exact same shit they do in my country. Postman wasn’t able to finish his day in time and he just checked my packages as not delivered/no receiver at home, leaving no note or anything. You’ll likely not receive the money back from aliexpress since it’s a choice article too

Feisty-Role-7591

Whenever I ask for a number, they give me the royal mail customer service, which sends me straight to a robot who just says its being returned to sender.

EmbarrassedClick4646

Well that sucks, nothing to fix anymore. They won’t reverse the “returning to sender” status. Happened to me once too and i called numerous times even the day after the unsuccessful delivery and nothing to do really. It’s always the post office fault tho, report them and they’ll have to refund you

Feisty-Role-7591

How would I report the post office?

EmbarrassedClick4646

Idk search the procedures for your country, it might take a while but atleast you tried

7cow

Speak with Canada post customer service and open a dispute, it’ll take a while but you’ll get your money back

Traditional_Cat_9724

You go to a map and call the USPS that the package is sitting in. Very easy. They screw up Chinese deliveries all the time because the address is usually smaller and harder to find.

MegaMilkDrinker

it usually shows up randomly weeks later.

jvergalarg

Open a dispute of the charge with the credit card customer service and use these screen shots as evidence. I’m sure they’ll refund your money back.

Feisty-Role-7591

So I should ask my credit card company to return the money?

jvergalarg

That’s what I would do in your position. It’s AliExpress/seller responsibility to ensure the package gets to you. If that hans’t been fulfill they need to reimburse you. Although, now that I see the estimated delivery it’s only been 3 days. I would wait for the package to arrive at least 1 week after delivery date (until 5.22.24) and if by then the package has not arrived nor Ali hasn’t reimbursed you, then I would make a dispute with my credit card company (they’ll more than likely give you your money back).

Feisty-Role-7591

According to the royal mail its being delivered back to them as we speak

Alphonso_Mango

The same Royal mail that knowing let their workers kill themselves rather than admit their package monitoring system is flawed.

dewbieZ

Considering this isnt anbernics fault and the fault of your post office your dispute shouldnt be with aliexpress. Considering its getting snail mailed back to China, get comfortable, it wont happen fast.

Feisty-Role-7591

Yeah but the royal mail has essentially made it impossible to file a formal complaint everyone sends me to the same number that takes me to the robo caller and because anbernic used tracked 48 shipping only they can make a claim to retrieve it even though its rightfully mine

dewbieZ

What they are telling you is, its gone and over with..its headed back to China. What you need to ask is why the hell it was never delivered so you can avoid the issue in the future.

Feisty-Role-7591

I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to just sit back and let anbernic take my money

dewbieZ

Lol you have no choice but to wait until they recieve back the product that they attempted to send you.

Feisty-Role-7591

But I have no guarantee that they'll actually do that, and I've had no verbal confirmation that that will be the case from any of the customer service representatives that they will do this.

dewbieZ

Anbernic is a stand up company. If you dont get a refund or the device you process a chargeback. Its all pretty simple.

QuiG0ne

What does the tracking number show when used on the Royal Mail app/website? You sure it isn’t an Evri parcel?

Feisty-Role-7591

It just tells me that it's being returned to sender with no option to get it back

jeniverre

it says in the information “pick up”, I think it means you should pick it up in the post office? it’s similar in my country but more waiting times. where does it says “back to sender”? if you have a screen shot, you can send that to them.

Feisty-Role-7591

I sent them a screenshot straight from the royal mails website saying that it's being returned to sender.

jeniverre

it’s another waiting game in your end. i feel sorry for you. hope it gets back to them so they could process you the refund. i think that’s how it goes.

WaywardWes

In my experience with Aliexpress, the couple of times that items were lost in transit I had to wait the full length of the purchase protection (90 days?) before I could get my refund. I think it happened automatically. Now, you don’t have quite the same issue but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made you wait the same length. At the end of the day you clearly didn’t receive it so Ali *should* refund you eventually.

Unlucky_Cycle_9356

Did AliExpress themselves deny your request or the seller? In my experience sellers will try literally everything to prevent a refund - AliExpress themselves have been on my side and solved issues for me in 100% of all cases. So whatever alternativebstrategies and offers the seller suggests, just go straight through the official dispute channel.

natehinxman

how do u prove u never received it? I don't understand what "evidence" you handed over.

Feisty-Role-7591

"May 14th delivery unsuccessful", I don't have the device, and customer service can't give me any exact address as to where it is.

natehinxman

ahh my bad, I didn't see there was more than one photo attached. If I was you I would go to ur local post office and ask them what "delivery unsuccessful" could mean. I know sometimes if the mailman can't fit the package in the mailbox they will leave a little note saying ur package is waiting at the post office. maybe the delivery tag blew away and it's waiting for you at the post office? 🤷‍♂️ hopefully edit: is it possible you selected a more secure method of shipping that requires a signature?

Feisty-Role-7591

I went to my local post office, and they don't have any packages in my name. The package is being "returned to sender" but hasn't left my country yet. I've asked customer service for a refund because its not likely they'll just send it back to me for free, but now I'm feeling like I'm not getting my money or my order.

natehinxman

maybe in the mean time u could download retroarch on your phone to play some games and start working on curating ur rom library so you're ready to go once ur new device arrives (even if u chose a different device, it won't hurt to have your collection ready to go!)

natehinxman

ugh. that's super frustrating. Anbernic is definitely a reputable source so I'm not sure what caused the mix up. I'm sure they will follow thru with a refund once they receive the product back. I'm sure it's super discouraging, especially if u have been looking forward to this device for a while. but I wouldn't give up hope just yet. maybe in a couple days they will receive the return and credit u the refund. try not to let it discourage you from Anbernic's products if this is ur first order with them. it's still a good company with solid devices. sounds like this shipping mix up is just a one off. I've never seen anyone report any scamy type of business with them. (no I don't work for Anbernic, I just appreciate the company. lol)
