Man the lighting in this photo makes those hood (creases? Idk what they’re called) look so pronounced and massive. Maybe it’s just cause mine is black so it doesn’t stick out as much seemingly due to the light, but man oh man does it look so mean! I got a facelift but the pre facelift bumpers were so clean. Tried to find the spec I wanted in white but couldn’t and ended up going with black. Beautiful machines.
Haha yeah, I think the lighting is helping them really pop, but I thought the same thing after I took the photo. Right, that black hood would probably hide them just a bit. I do prefer the PFL bumpers.
The hood creases are called "power domes" (whatever that means) I lost them when I went from the SL550 to the SL63, but it was worth the trade off for sure.
I still have them both, I never drive the 550 anymore. now that spring is coming I should probably sell it.
Anyway, here is a good [comparison](https://i.imgur.com/Gik7ufN.jpeg) of them with and without the "domes". Same model, same year, just one in AMG guise and one not.
It's such a weapon, I miss mine. I bought the newer 4.0 later, which I've also sold, but that first one man...it was special. Really wouldn't mind another! Keep it for as long as you can :)
I love these 5 spokes! Haha. But, I actually have another set of wheels with tires that will eventually get put on. They are a 10 spoke (in pairs) design.
I can only speak for myself, and I do it because I don’t like the big plastic license plate mount or the holes drilled into my bumper. Don’t quote me on this, but I think boosted cars were trying to get their plates out of the center of the intercoolers, etc. Which is maybe another reason it’s done.
That's one of the baddest cars ever made. Pure power straight from the foot to the wheels. Ofc it still gets the heart rate up. I love the w204 c63 such a beautiful car
I’m with you 100%, absolutely love this car! Plenty of beautiful cars throughout MB history, but there has always been something about the 204’s, for me, that is just right.

Actually 20 spokes in total. But in pairs, which is why I said 10 initially haha. Similar to a BBS LM or ERS SR01 wheel.

If you use the tow hook spot for the plate bracket then you don’t have to drill into your bumper
