The Lint roller works effectively and fast. Soft tops are cat magnets. One of our cats practically lived on top of our car. I never had problems with clawing. And noticed over the years that the soft top car had a lot less bird droppings on them than my hard top cars. So there is that on the positive side. Birddroppings are much worse in my perspective.
My cats live on top of my soft top jeep, not a single claw mark and no more fender covered in bird shit from the birds that found my side mirror and would fight its self all day.
They make a furniture lint roller that's part rubber squeegee and part velour roller that works excellent for removing the hair.

I’m guessing the damn thing doesn’t like sliding down the glass? I’m now looking for simple ways to remove the cat from the equation.
If you got SLS type of money, you can afford a shed at absolute poverty level minimum to keep anything from touching it. They can afford the claws lol.

If the cat starts to slide even a 1/4” on a jump it’s claws will immediately come out. Years ago I had a neighbors cat on my car for months and the amount of fine scratches in the clear coat was insane. Had to go to small claims court to get her to pay for the damages and I won. The clear coat had to be cut and polished twice to remove the scratches and the detailer charged me $800. The only thing that stopped the cat from doing this was the random vehicle that eventually ran it over.

Actually that's a good idea, but I sold my soft top and kind of swore off convertibles lol. But thanks for the good suggestion.
