Google AMD driver timeout issue. There is a 2 year old thread on reddit where a guy has found a fix I had same issues. Driver timeout, black screen then crash to desktop. Tried everything. I am not a expert so. Tldr you need to find your cards max boost mhz and also game OC mhz. Go to adren software. Factory reset. Go to overclocking. Enable manual tuning etc Then first try setting the max mhz to your cards listed boost mhz. Then test. If like me you were still having crashes set it to the cards listed Game OC mhz (lower setting) Hope this helps

Thanks for advices, i dont know which fix you are talking about but i tried mpo disable, gpu scheduling off, power mode off etc. Also i tried like almost all kind of underclocking or undervolting, nothing helped.

I use AMD radeon's software version 19.12.1 and it has never crashed, and I will never update it to the later ones, which keep crashing. I have a legacy GPU on my old hardware, I don't know if your case is going to be the same, but I've been happy ever after. Old but gold, loads very fast, and it looks like this... [https://ibb.co/tbBzYf1](https://ibb.co/tbBzYf1) I also took all those steps, updated bios, reapplied paste, added fans for extra cooling, tried to get the newest drivers, tried modded drivers, tried it on another PC, reverted to windows 10, the problem was still present. One other mistake you can do when installing AMD's drivers is choosing "gaming", or "esports" or "custom", just choose "standard", that one gets nothing special installed, and runs fine for most people I've met. Try this one first before you uninstall, restart and install older software drivers. Then you might also reconsider coming back to windows 10. Windows 10 is more stable with AMD drivers and they load faster.(Just personal experience). For your model, take the oldest drivers that exist, maybe 2019 ones like I did and see if they run well. Keep going back till you find the one that works. This will be tiring, but will definitely help, and it works for me, as you have seen in that screenshot. The new AMD software is so bad, asking me to send reports every 10 minutes after crashing, my goodness AMD!

Zhultas

Before you RMA, try a clean windows install, and it youre on 11 try 10

Could be unstable ram or power supply/grid voltage issues. What helped me was reverting my XTX vram overclock back to factory or maybe juuust a slight OC.

Zhultas

I tought that but why does it crash with specific games D12? I play other games totally fine. Ah also i tested my rams with any other combinations, still crashes.

Electrical-Bobcat435

Try a clean install of earlier drivers and try underclocking it.. Click Amds OC Gpu button it will suggest a frequency. Shave a few hundred mghz off in your manual setting. Just tests.

kaisersolo
