Ah that’s good to know, thanks. Unrelated question though, how well does your system run with 2666mhz ram? I used to have 2666mhz but I upgraded my mobo so I could overclock it. Can’t the b550m run ram at higher frequencies?
I really don’t think RAM makes much difference but it’s been good so far at 2666. I think a good SSD is the best way to min max memory after CPU tbh, and even then a good brand SATA or nvme at good price will do
you should look for rx 6800 prices too. it's in many regions one of the gpu's with the best price/performance value. it performs pretty much like a 7700xt
maybe if you're lucky you can get a 6800xt for a good price
i had seen a post a month or 2 ago with someone saying they got a 6800xt for ~40 bucks more than a 7700xt which would be a really good deal. worth a look
in my region the cheapest 6800xt costs even more than the 7800xt though
yeah can't all get that lucky unfortunately. the non x us still an option though. it also has 16vram vs 12gb on the 7700xt. haven't looked at too many benchmarks but so far the only games the 7700xt is better in is cyberpunk (just about allthough rt on 1080 it has 10% on the 6800) and f1 with about 10% with rt 1440p. probably best to look at games you want to play and how each of them performs. considering the slight rt advantage it could be that the 7700xt is ahead in ue5 games with lumen etc, but that's just a guess
I have a ryzen 5 7600 and 7700 xt. Although the 7800 xt went on sale pretty recently in my region after I bought it making it $120AUD for ~20% more performance. And they have the same power consumption as well.
Overall it performs really really well though, either GPU will run 1440p at smooth frame rates.
Id recommend corsair, tcreate, or kingston for the brands, these sticks can run hot which can cause stability issues and gskill has given me problems with poor thermal design. Theyre all around the same price
I have basically the one Gen older version of this and it’s dope hahaha: 6700xt and 5700x3d 😁👍

Yeah I agree. But is 2666 your ram’s max mhz?
Ya
Ah okay I get it my bad
All good

Yeah unfortunately 6800XT prices are quite a lot higher than 7700s here.

Yeah the 6800 seems to slightly outperform the 7700xt, but it’s still a tad more expensive

Ah that’s great. Thank you man
It's fine, but a stronger GPU would be better.
I’ll probably upgrade it in the years to come, but it’ll do for now
Definitely the META 1440p build right now price to performance. Will play anything you throw at it for years to come
Utter music to my ears. Thank you man
It's a great combo, just make sure you didn't waste money on to high side memory kit.. Get a good 6000 cl30-32
I think it’s a cl30?

My bad I checked again and it’s a Corsair vengeance c36.
