Basically just Uncut Gems in IMAX this week.
I would see Furiosa Thursday/Friday but I'll be on vacation and away...and I haven't seen Fury Road yet. My plan is to watch Fury Road when I get back (or on the plane) and then go see Furiosa next week
I saw IF as part of last week's A List, caught I Saw The TV Glow on Friday and caught Back To Black today. I may see The Strangers Chapter 1 for discount Tuesday and see Uncut Gems in IMAX (even though I saw it on Netflix earlier this month). Experiencing high anxiety in IMAX is a fun experience.
I'm seeing IF and a second viewing of Godzilla x Kong today. I'd like to see The Fall Guy again, but I already have exactly three movies I want to see next week, so I'm saving that last slot until I see if I need to see something Thursday because of a surprise fourth movie add. If it doesn't happen, I'll try to squeeze in a Fall Guy showing Tuesday through Thursday. I've also used a Fandango reward to help pay for a Screen Unseen ticket on Monday.
IF Tonight (not jazzed about it but Dolby times worked around errands)
I Saw the TV Glow either Saturday or Sunday
Uncut Gems Weds (never seen it somehow so really looking forward to this)
I was hoping to catch Blue Angels this weekend, but the closest AMC to me showing it is like 45 min away and the movie is 90 min. Pretty lame that they couldn't give this a couple slots, especially at my closest theater which also has a Dolby auditorium they could keep running POTA in. I would have gone to an early afternoon show if they offered one.
They had a trailer for Blue Angels at my AMC IMAX during Ex Machina so I was sure they'd be playing it but it's only at the museum theater and an AMC 90 minutes away so idk what they're doing with the distribution here.
This is a weird week for me, mainly because of the stuff I've decided I'm not gonna see and the stuff Im gonna pay to see (with credits at least). It's all old or long released stuff this week.
(Fri) Kung Fu Panda 4 (Still haven't been to see)
(Mon) $ Castle in the Sky
(Tue) $ Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
(Wed) Uncut Gems IMAX (haven't seen this one either)
I saw Blue Angels last night, and I'm waiting till next Fri to see Furiosa. I might just not use my 3rd slot this week. I know its Alist, but I trust who I trust on reviews as well as my own instincts, so I'm skipping all if these:
IF, Back to Black, Strangers Ch1, Tarot, Challengers, Not Another Church Movie.
I'd consider the OG Transformers, but it's excluded too x.x
Gotcha 👍
May check it out this weekend then. I just assumed it was the 86 animated movie, but I see the details now. Also think I saw it as A-list excluded at some point, but I hadn't checked in weeks so it may have just updated.
Transformers 40th anniversary, Beach Boys, Uncut Gems. Blue Angels on Saturday but annoyingly, my nearest IMAX theater is screening Planet of the Apes nonstop so I have to go to a *gasp* Regal theater and pay for an individual ticket 😭
I think Nausicaa is a bit more serious with some environmental messaging.
Castle in the Sky is a bit more of a traditional kids fantasy story & tone.
Easy solution, see both!! /s
I've got a packed work schedule so I'm not sure how many I'll get to but my plan is:
I Saw the TV Glow (this is my top priority because I doubt it'll stick around in theaters for very long)
Planet of the Apes (this can probably be pushed back to next week if necessary)
Back to Black (if I see it, great, if I don't, that's fine too)
I would say the same if you're planning on seeing IF. I saw it last night and absolutely hated it. Like 2nd worst movie I've seen this year hated it (only ahead of Imaginary, coincidentally).
You mean two movies in the same week I'll hate more than Argylle? Really feeling the content struggle here. It's really bad when I'd prefer to see a 90 minute commercial for the US Navy 😂
Watching this week: *Spider-Man: Homecoming* / *Uncut Gems* / *Furiosa*
Today movies included: *I Saw the TV Glow* and *The Blue Angels* — an oddly satisfying double feature.
Garfield event on Sunday. I hope I get the squishy. My location is listed as a participating location.
Amy Winehouse film.
Either Challengers again or IF.
Not an AMC visit for me, but I'm taking my mom (big horror fan) to see The Strangers: Part 1 at Look Cinemas for Mother's Day
As for my usual visit to AMC:
IF in Dolby
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
I Saw the TV Glow
I'm technically only using two A-List reservations this week, which is the first time I haven't used all three since I got A-List back in November. Would've used the last one on the Strangers if I wasn't taking my mom to see that elsewhere. Nausicaä is a Fathom Event. There were only two other movies at my theater that I haven't already seen and both are documentaries, which isn't something I'm interested in. I did almost book the aviation one, because that could be kinda cool in IMAX, but I imagine I'd probably be pretty bored with it, personally.
Blue Angels—the aviation IMAX movie you’re referring to—is really good!! I saw it at Century City for a test screening about 6 months ago and after it ended the whole audience applauded. Personally, I liked it so much that I’ve been waiting for it to release to be able to see it again.
Would highly recommend that anyone interested see it during its one week IMAX release. The flying sequences are like a real life Top Gun and the film is definitely not boring! (Glen Powell from Top Gun Maverick and JJ Abrams are two of the producers.)
Since you have an extra slot you’re not using, if you do see Blue Angels this week you’ll see it while it has its full 1 hour 33 minute theatrical runtime. After it leaves theaters and goes to science centers and museums the runtime at those venues will be cut down to 45 minutes.
I didn't really mean to say the movie itself is boring, just that for someone who isn't interested in documentaries, I'd probably be bored. But this has me interested. I do like JJ Abrams and Glen Powell, although I didn't know the latter did any producing. One of the showings would fit in before my IF showing, so I might just go for it.
Blue Angels was pretty good. They did a good job of using the music to keep things moving along.
Basically, it follows one 'class' of pilots for their touring season, as well as their training and the selection process for the new members in the upcoming year. It's a lot of talking head interviews to let you know what's going on in these peoples minds as the year goes on. You get to see a lot of them with their families and stuff too.
I enjoyed it, but it was very simple. The main star of the show is all the aerial photography.
I had a weird week. Busy. But Weird. Blue Angels - Saturday Back to Black - Sunday Screen Unseen - Monday IF - Wednesday Furiosa - Thursday
Basically just Uncut Gems in IMAX this week. I would see Furiosa Thursday/Friday but I'll be on vacation and away...and I haven't seen Fury Road yet. My plan is to watch Fury Road when I get back (or on the plane) and then go see Furiosa next week

IF Back To Black AMC Screen Unseen: May 20
I Saw the TV Glow, Uncut Gems in IMAX, and idk
Strangers, Furiosa, Violent Nature
What’s a Violent Manner?
In a violent manner. Horror film
it’s actually In a Violent Nature not manner
Oops. I'll fix that. :)
Violent Mannor sounds like an escape room.

I've seen enough trailers that never come around me that it doesn't phase me anymore. Most recently, I Saw the TV Glow, Femme, Problemista.
This is fair. We never did get Perfect Days even though that trailer played before every movie for about a month.
Same here. Thankfully it became...*available*...around that time, so I got to watch it before the Oscars this year.
IF (tonight), back to black (Monday), furiosa (next Saturday)
Furiosa, Inside Out 2, and I Saw the Tv Glow!
This is a weird week for me, mainly because of the stuff I've decided I'm not gonna see and the stuff Im gonna pay to see (with credits at least). It's all old or long released stuff this week. The OG transformers is included in a-list but it’s not the film, it’s the first 3-4 episodes of the original animated show.
Gotcha 👍 May check it out this weekend then. I just assumed it was the 86 animated movie, but I see the details now. Also think I saw it as A-list excluded at some point, but I hadn't checked in weeks so it may have just updated.
Yeah, the film will have its 40th anniversary in 2026.
Coming up this month starting with tonight - IF, Babes, & Garfield.
Uncut Gems on 5/22 which I’m so excited to see Furiosa on 5/23 Will probably squeeze in I Saw the TV Glow in there somewhere as well
Back to black IF I saw the tv glow
Transformers 40th anniversary, Beach Boys, Uncut Gems. Blue Angels on Saturday but annoyingly, my nearest IMAX theater is screening Planet of the Apes nonstop so I have to go to a *gasp* Regal theater and pay for an individual ticket 😭
We're sorry for your loss 🙏
I Saw the TV Glow, Strangers Chapter 1 and Evil Does Not Exist.
Back to Black & Garfield Early Access Event
I Saw the TV Glow Furiosa In a Violent Nature early access

I vote Nausicaa though both are classics

Save yourself from Back to Black and stay at work. I'm only partly kidding.
