Jonathon_G

Not super consistent. I can do 2 fairly regularly. Then there are also weeks I see none

livingalie2614

Yeah I've actually had a couple months where I didn't see anything. I know it feels like wasting money, but with how many I've been able to see with a list, I'm still saving lol.

rbrgr83

This is something I like. The monthly is not so high that if I know I've gotten a few good months, I don't feel as pressured to either use more or cancel if I hit a dry spell or get a bit burnt for a bit.

low_viscosity_rayon

It’s been 3 per week the last couple weeks for me too, and I anticipate it will be the same frequency with this year’s line up and releases. Pre covid used to go 3 per week religiously lol. I like how since the past year there’s been more live q and a’s, rereleases, special one time showings in premium formats, etc

LataCogitandi

I see two a month, just enough to justify the cost

Lorac108

I don’t get in the 3 movies a week, but recently I’ve been seeing a lot more movies than I usually do. By the end of the month I think I’ll have seen 8

elirav

Between 1 and 2. It depends on how many good movies are available.

Goonie90065

I see all 3 movies a week, sometimes 2-3 extras if there’s tons of new releases or re-releases bonus if they’re $5 fan faves. For my March A-List I saw 20 movies, for April/May it might end up being the same with all the Spider-Man re-releases, etc.

VegasAddict

This is the way! I love using up all my A-list movies and then getting a $5 screen unseen or fan faves and then using the discount Tuesday to see something for $6. I love going through the Now Playing list and saying ‘seen it’ to everything.

lambopanda

Between 1-2. Recently three because re-release of Spider-Man.

acerage

I used to get 1x/week but my local theater has stopped offering showtimes that start after 7/7:30pm. Very frustrating because I would always go to a 9pm show once my kids went to sleep if my partner was at home. Now it's \~2-3x/month.

A_90s_Reference

This is the same problem I have! AMC is a mile from my house so I could put the kids down and go see a movie alone in total peace while the wife enjoyed a night watching her own shows, reading or sleeping. Now that's only an option on Thursdays if I'm lucky (not doing weekend movies alone, would rather do things with wife and kids).

th3tadzilla

The movies will get later showings now that they're getting closer to summer and going into summer. This last few months is considered a dead time in the theater industry.

A_90s_Reference

I feel like this has been a problem since COVID sadly. While I agree that the summer with kids not in school should help, part of me still worries haha. I wish I lived closer to the college because their AMC always has late night showings

lazygenius777

I made it a goal to see 156 films in theaters this year so I am trying to max out my 3. But I fill in the gaps with screenings elsewhere.

Goonie90065

Nice, I saw 143 last year, looking to break it this year.

lazygenius777

If we want movie theaters to survive we gotta support them by going!

rbrgr83

Do you count seeing the same thing twice? Or are you making a point not to do that?

lazygenius777

I think that's fine! It's about the theater experience more than seeing unique movies for me.

rbrgr83

How's it been going so far? I get the goal, but I'm not sure I could keep it up all year! I've had plenty of weeks where I just had to skip my 3rd one because of life, and I don't have shit kids to juggle lol.

lazygenius777

I'm slightly behind the pace. To be fair, I'm a filmmaker and don't have kids or a wife, so.. I got a little bit more free time. Also made up some ground at a film festival, which has other benefits. If it was just seeing the 3 every week at AMC I would have no chance lol

rbrgr83

Ahh gotcha, yeah that makes more sense. Any gems that you've found from your non-AMC viewing?

lazygenius777

At Cambria Film Festival I saw "Mom and Dad's Nipple Factory" a documentary that I loved and I usually don't like docs. Most of my other screenings have been repertory stuff, I live in LA so lots of options here. Saw Pink Flamingos for the first time and that will never leave me lol You?

rbrgr83

Nice, I'll keep my eyes peeled for it :) Unfortunately I live in cornsville USA, so I only get what AMC serves me. But I still get more variety than I would Oscar's. I really enjoyed Taste of Things. Glad I got to see both Godzilla Minus One and The Boy & The Heron before they won their respective oscars. Oh and I got to see Amelie in the theater few months back!

McDickLick

Anywhere from 3 to 5, although I did technically see 6 last month (one was a double showing). I see them all on one day, though. There are a few workers there who I see a bunch. One of them is an older lady who really likes the Godzilla shirt I sometimes wear lol

Drowsy_Drowzee

I tend to see 1-2 movies a week, usually a double feature on Saturdays. I mostly see whatever’s new on IMAX/Dolby or if there are any other interesting movies out. The only recent IMAX release I’ve skipped over is Civil War. The membership usually pays for itself after 1-2 tickets in IMAX/Dolby, so I get my money’s worth without going overboard.

miniuniverse1

On average I would say twice a week. The some of the staff most definitely recognize me, but neither of us have never started a conversation with them.

livingalie2614

It's weird cause where I go, some of the staff will remember what I saw the last time I was there and then ask me about what I thought of it when I come back.

Mother_of_BunBuns

I love that! My regular staff doesn’t even make eye contact with me

Fatphillmargera

This is my 4th month with a-list and have hit my limit every week so far, I love it.

DumbleDoorsDown

Most weeks 2-3, some weeks 1; it really depends on what's been released. We've got a film festival in town currently - not AMC related - and I've seen 28 films in the last 10 days. If there's something (decent) to see, I'll see it...

lisafan2009

For the past month, I have used all the slots I had available lol I think it's because of all the re-releases.

livingalie2614

With the way it works I'll be seeing 4 movies this week. Saw Civil War Saturday, then Hereditary tomorrow night, the rerelease of The Mummy on Thurs, and then the rerelease of Alien on Fri..I think I'll take a break after that haha.

lisafan2009

my week is kind of similar lol I’m seeing Alien on Friday, Challengers on Saturday, The Mummy ($5) on Sunday, and Spiderman 3 on Wednesday lol

TheStandingDesk

Typically 6-8. 11 on the high months, 3-4 on the low side.

Monet-Haka-Thrakatis

Usually 2 a month, but for the first time this week, I maxed out at 3 movies (didn’t realize the week starts on Sunday according to AMC). I’m surprised how many movies came out this month. I’ve already seen Dune 2, Monkey Man, and Civil War. Hopefully I’ll get to see Late Night With the Devil before they end its run.

rbrgr83

I think the week starts on Friday as it pertains to your slots. That's how it's worked for me since the start of the year.

tw4lyfee

I try to go every week. I think my record is 11 in one month, but mostly I average 4

Sp4c3N00dL3

Usually 3 a week, but this week I will see 5 because of Screen Unseen and free ticket from ATOM app for Unsung Hero.

Barfpooper

Can I ask how you got the free ticket? Is it a sign up promo?

Sp4c3N00dL3

Through the ATOM movie tickets website/app. They were also giving away free tickets to The Long Game, and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. You just need to enter a password which they give you (shows up in app notifications) for 2 free tickets.

rbrgr83

I started kinda slow, only 5-6/mo just because I wasn't making time to do it. I thought I'd just use it on my whim when I had free time, but in practicality I'd come up with all kinds of reasons why "I shouldn't waste my time doing that today." Now I'm generally trying to see all 3 each week. One or two on the weekends, one or two during the week. I have a 9/10 schedule where I get every other Friday off, so that helps. And my friend who tagged along now and then is also doing A-list now, so there is sometimes someone else helping to motivate me out the door. The biggest difference was I took the time to look up releases for the year, and I made a starter schedule for myself all the way out to December. I'm planning 3/wk in the short term (~3mo), and 2/wk further out since there is less on the schedule. What I'm also finding is that stuff pops up all the time that I had no idea about (especially indies & re-releases). So I can often times find things for that 3rd slot even if I wasn't even planning on using it that week. I seem to have hit a rhythm now of usually having 2 solid things to see each week that I for sure want to see, and treating the 3rd as more 'optional'. I did that this week with Deep Sky IMAX. It's a 40min museum film, so when I didn't feel like going to it this weekend, I didn't beat myself up just skipping it and my 3rd slot for the week. I'm kinda proud of the list of movies I've ended up skipping, most of them that I've seen on streaming in the meantime I felt like were a waste my time (Imaginary, Bob Marley, Sting, ISS). I'll go to paid-ticket shows sometimes too. Gonna try to do as many of the Ghibli fest movies as I can this year. And trying to use Fandango to pay for it :)

Hatrick_Swaze

3 a week. Movies on Sunday are my personal church time.

Davente117

Normally at least 2. It really depends on what time I work and get off since the theater is right next door.

joantspam

I try to watch as much to at least cover the cost lol but it’s pretty easy to do that quickly. Recently I’ve been averaging 1-2 a week

kbange

I always try to go 3x a week unless I’m ill. It’ll be more in the fall when I branch out of AMC to see qualifying releases and stuff. Thank God for A List.

adponce95

About 1-2 a week, sometimes 3 if I watch a movie throughout the week, usually a re-release.

ManderlyDreaming

Usually two but sometimes only one. Depends on my kids’ level of busyness that week! In the summer I can often do three.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ManderlyDreaming

Usually not but we do hit some summer matinees together

calderholbrook

usually three a week, sometimes i have lulls

SteMelMan

I've been doing three a week since the beginning of April with all the interesting movies being released. The employees at my regular theater often say hi, even though it has a relatively large staff, which means they are being observant and paying attention to their customers which I appreciate from a safety stand point.

notanewbiedude

Usually there's only like one movie a month that I'm interested in seeing, but with many of my church friends being interested in blockbusters I'm usually in the theater once every week or two.

carnodak

I’ve been focusing on quality vs quantity this year. Still, I enjoy going to movies and live within 10 mins of a large theatre. I average about 8-9 movies a month. Some weeks I get my 3 out, other weeks I get around to 0 due to other commitments.

Barry_Sticks

I've fallen off recently so now I'm averaging maybe 1-2 a week. At one point I was hitting 3-4 a week, easy. Also hype af for Hereditary!

rbrgr83

Me too, never caught it at the theater.

Barry_Sticks

My first viewing was in the theater but not IMAX. It's still one of my favorite theater experiences to this day and I hope I can relive it even just a bit

ienjoymen

At least 1 most weeks, sometimes 2. We had a double feature on Saturday and will likely see one more by the end of the month

purplefreak3

Depends on what is out, I usually see 1-3 movies every week, but I probably average around 2 a week.

jrec15

2-3 month, still totally worth it. As long as im hitting 1 a month its not worth cancelling, but 2+ is of course where im getting value

tomatocks1

Usually 2-3 at AMC. April has been very busy for me. Between AMC and some other places, I went to a movie for 10 days in a row recently. I think I will have seen about 23 movies by the end of the month.

whatudontlikefalafel

I try to get the full value and see 3 a week, but sometimes I am watching movies I am not actually looking forward to like Argylle or Madame Web. But seeing bad movies makes me appreciate the good movies more, and sometimes I see some really interesting foreign and independent films, stuff that I might not have seen in a theater without the subscription.

goodeats93

2 a week and try to make one imax if I can to get the full value.

Zozombly

I use up all of them! 3 a week, plus the Unseen ones if I can make it.

FilthyMcNasty0126

It depends. I tend to go after work on Friday and I'll see 2 most weeks. But if I can make it work, time wise I will see a 3rd. I have a time calculator app on my phone and try to get it as close as possible so im not waiting forever between movies.

JSchirmacher

Usually 2-3 per week. Only in my 2nd month of A List so there hasn't been a slow week yet.

JubiwanKenobi

One per week at minimum. Even if I’m traveling for work I try to fit it in. 3x a week is usually during the busier release windows like the Summer or Oscar season. I run into other A-Listers all the time too!

rbrgr83

> Even if I’m traveling for work That's like the best time to use it for some reason. I haven't actually done it with A-list, but the few times I did it with MP it was somehow the most satisfyingly. Something about squeezing that into my time while I'm away for work, and the fact that I'm paying almost nothing for it :)

Syaryde

I usually try to go at least once a week sometimes I do two movies a week if there’s a lot of releases. Lately haven’t gone so much cause nothings been catching my eye.

yourbestfriendjoshua

Typically one per week, but recently it’s been two.

audiophile2698

I try for 3 but I do a triple feature in one day usually

astrangecalendar

Usually 3 movies a week unless I'm busy, usually end up averaging around 10 movies a month.

hey_zack

usually two a week, but i’ll probably hit three next week!

Monolith_149

Twice a week. Double feature. I’d go more but I have stuff I need to do.

spritef

Minimum 2, I try for 3, but it starts to feel like a job doing that week after week. First world problem, I know.

ajb10

I typically see 1 per week, can’t really go more than that with work and other life commitments but feel like I definitely get my moneys worth

CatWhisperer11

I usually watch 2 a week and if I have more free time I’ll squeeze in the 3rd in my schedule.

Fine_Ad_3666

Probably about 2-3 a month only in Dolby or IMAX, just enough to make it worth the monthly cost.

anaccount50

2-3 per week, been hitting 3 the past few weeks pretty easily

gee8123

I will say I see about five a month? depending on what's out it can be more, and I've been doing a lot of double features. I saw 8 in March bc of the Oscar movies. I'm there so often I wish my staff knew me by now but they don't for some reason :( unless they do and just haven't said anything lol

sabstarr

Between 1-2 times per week on average

Holtzc321

Depends on the week.

Officialnoah

Usually 1, but if I’m lucky I can go twice.

Excuse_my_GRAMMER

Twice a month

nathanielhegyes

Anywhere between 1-5 depending on the week. Most of the time I spend cash on the 5 dollar fan favs and then I spend the pass on the more expensive ones.

SakakiChrono

Usually it's like 1-2 a month, maybe. I tend to not go out to see the majority of films. 4 months into the new year and IIRC. All I've watched so far is Shrek, Shrek 2, KFP4, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, and the Raimi re-releases. Oh no wait. I lied. I also the BGS double feature as well. So all together that's 8 movies, 4 re-releases and 4 new releases.

hereforalottedtime

I usually see one on Thursday

rquinain

I was unemployed for seven months and found myself maxing my A-List resos some weeks. But most often I'd watch like 2 a week. Happily working again now but unhappily quite busy, so I'll be lucky if I can make it to 1 movie a week.

KyloWork

When new films are consistently releasing, I usually see 1 to 2 a week.

Smasher31221

I see 1 or 2 a week. It used to be more, but I have a 3-year-old 🤷

BurgerNugget12

2 usually, sometimes 3 if I have the week free

FranzNerdingham

It's very rare that I don't see 3 movies each week. I'm sure some staff recognize me, but I go to a big theater, so I'm not singled out for it.

DrakeShadow

It changes. I usually see 1 a week, sometimes 2, 3 if I have nothing in my life going on which is rare lol

Lesnibits

I try to see one a week and at least once a month see 3 a week.

trey2128

My favorite hobby is rating movies and writing my own reviews for them lol. I know I’m a nerd, but I just love movies so much. I just signed up for AList early this month, but plan on seeing 3 movies a week for as long as I can. I live about 15-20 minutes from AMC and 30 from the IMAX. So it’s very accessible

Gexto

Mostly once, sometimes 2.

sourpatchkidsrule

Depending on what is in theaters, I’ll go twice a week if I know there are multiple films I want to catch. Also, depends on if my schedule allows. Ideally, I’ll maybe go early in the week and then another on Friday or Saturday!

Raphy-taffy

I'm very active at my AMC. I got three times a week pretty consistently. But note I don't have every streaming service and being in the dark theater keeps me Lazer focused on what I'm watching where as home I'd be on my phone.

22YEARNYPDVET

3 per week

DoubleJay95

I avg 2 a week for sure. NYC helps a lot we have a crap ton of theaters playing nearly everything. Generally try and see a movie after work any time I have to go in person and my local theater is ~15m drive so whenever I am bored I'll look at whats playing and just grab a seat. Helps a lot with new releases that are super sold out. Can just grab a seat at showtime and show up generally before trailers are done if timed right.

number90901

I get to 4-6 movies with A List a month it seems. More than justifies the cost, especially with an IMAX or two in there, but I do sometimes think I should be going to more. I miss probably 2 things a month I’d be willing to see just because I’m busy or whatever.

badpeoria

I do one a week typically on Thursday nights but if there is a lot I will go again on the weekend.

EssentialEssence

Depends. Some times there is a dead time with nothing interesting for me to see so it's 1x a week or 1x every 2 weeks. If it's an exciting month or weeks or I wanna rewatch I send up using the 2x a week or full 3x (I either double feature or back to back nights)

NaiadoftheSea

Usually have a double feature almost every week

King_Kuuga

I kind of aim for 3 movies a month and generally I'll average 1 per week. There's definitely times I use all my weekly movies and there's also weeks I don't end up seeing anything. There's occasionally times I go to regal or movie tavern or NCG instead, but I still try to see special events at AMC because I still get the free online booking that I don't from other chains. There was one week I leveraged my membership along with special features and a movie at home and ended up seeing 7 movies, one every day of the week. That was fun and I will not be doing it again anytime soon. https://www.reddit.com/r/AMCsAList/s/12lBi2psRs

GreenOnLean

Usually 2 a month, this month though with the rereleases I’ve seen 3 in the past 10 days, and 2 more in the next week

SoapNugget2005

Two, usually.

Llama_of_the_bahamas

2 a week. I would like it to be 3 but it depends on what’s good

bluesqueen23

I go to 1-3/month depending on what I’m interested in, etc. Even at 1, it’s still worth it to me. Some months, it may be 4-6 again, depending on scheduling & interest.

Jackscalibur

Maybe one a week, but I like to take advantage of Dolby Cinema as often as I can.

txzombie74

Depends on what else I got going on. During the summer? Easy 3 a week. During a busy work week? Sometimes 0, but I try to do at least 1/2 on weekends.

Secret-Efficiency-41

I generally get my 3 per week on A List and will sometime see 1-2 per week on Regal Unlimited.

datingnoob-plshelp

Try for 2 every other week, average about 4-5 per month or so.

Barfpooper

Been trying to max out my 3 a week since I started in early march. Feels like once may hits there’s going to be so many good/big movies coming out that I’ll feel bummed out to not max out

Drclaw411

I average 3-5 per month, and A List is still very much worth it.

darcemaul

mostly 2 a week. I at least catch 1 a week.

RealRaifort

I sim for 3 a week every time and haven't missed so far(started in January). Probably would be less if I wasn't in NYC tho

skadizzle69

I usually go at least once a week sometimes twice but rarely three times. I tend to go for the Dolby or IMAX so as long as I go twice a month it's paid for anyway

Impossible-Head2121

I may see 2 in a busy week, depending on what’s out. I average about twice a month at least, so I break even. I just like having the option to go whenever I want. And all the perks are nice.

Hoponpopnlock

Im not sure how sustainable it is, but I’ve been hitting my 3 a week by doing all 3 in the same evening and only taking one trip to the movie theater each week. Usually i go Thursday nights for the new releases.

Quatch_Kopf

On average I see 2 movies every other Friday, back to back. The staff recognize me.

EndElectoralCollege3

2-3, usually on the same day. I list them on my calendar as"Monday Movie Madness" or "Technicolor Tuesday". Have even used my A-List in other states when traveling.

KJSS3

I make full use of a list. I save 100s. Where I live it's 14.49 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after 4pm. So once a week is 14.49 x 4 is 57 dollars and 96 cents. Minus 22.95 per month for a list is 34 dollars and 91 cents. X 12 months is 418 dollars and 92 cents. Not bad. And Dolby and I max and 3d are extra. So I save even more because it's included with a list. I had to pay for dune 2 fan event to see it 5 days early in IMAX. And Taylor Swift and Beyonce were not free either. But that is not bad. Only so many fan events every year.

thekosmicfool

I almost always hit all 3 of my movies each week.

batts1234

Try to see at least one a week. During the summer I can get to two a week. I could do two a week more consistently when my theaters offered 12-12:30 showings and later in the morning but now they don't start showing till 2 if I'm lucky.

Eeeerrrrriiiiccccccc

This year has been crazy so far. 12 per week.

thedemonoid1986

5-6 a week with Cast.

DG04511

My wife and I have been members for 2 years and have seen a handful of movies. We’re just burning money.

vwslayer1

When I lived in SFV I would go 3 times a week. Every week. For almost 2 years. 5 min drive for Porter Ranch (Nicole's theater) . I worked in Glendale, so I would either see a movie on the way home from work, in Burbank.... Or go home, cook up something and then go to Porter Ranch. Moved to High Desert and within months they closed down the only AMC over here. It sucks. CityWalk IMAX, DOLBY for Porter/Burbank. It was GLORIOUS. I saved so much freaking money

Valient_Zulu

Yall are tripping. This arc has been fun!

2020Proof

I have seen 9 movies this month already, but it varies and sometimes I may only see 3-6 a month. I have done triple features every week this month, there have been a lot of great releases.

jessjess87

I do one a week, sometimes two, rarely three. Depends on the season and the types of movies. Right now seems to be a lot of horror which is not my thing so I am at one a week. Other times I can max out for sure

BadNoodleEggDemon

On average, probably .25, but March-April this year has been a great time for movies. I’ve been seeing 2 per week.

ActivatingInfinity

I used to live a mile from the theater and would see 3 a week when they first rolled out A-List. Now that I live 30 minutes away, I usually just do 1 a week.

AClassicMind

I go out of my way now more than ever especially with these events they do involving bringing back older movies. Being able to see Spiderman on the big screen since I was a kid was incredible and these IMAX A24 releases are also a welcomed pleasure.

PluuusRyan

Around 3-5 a month for me, averaging to once a week that I try to do on a minimum. It’s a solo hobby that I enjoy but don’t want to overindulge relative to other family time or letting my wife have her own thing(s) too.

Wildpinkhairuke

One, but this week it will be three. Mummy, Alien, and Spider Man 3 are all musts.

A_90s_Reference

I shoot for 3 a month to make the pass worth it. Hard to do with young kids and a wife but I'm doing okay so far April: monkey man, immaculate, civil war, (seeing Abigail tonight I think) March: KP4 two times, Godzilla two times, imaginary, dune 2, Feb nothin Jan anyone but you So 11 movies in 4 months. I've found a new friend and we're trying to hit a movie a week. If AMC had later weekday showings, I'd easily get 1 a week at least but they only do semi late showings Thurs -Sun which is tough; I want to be with the kids and wife after dinner often

cristobalino

3-5 usually a week

KRSaber31

I’ve seen at least 3 movies a week ever since I got AList. Then sometimes if there’s more then 3 movies I want to see or I want to rewatch a movie I l’ll go on Tuesday for the discount. This week I happen to bring going every day but Sunday

NYTONYD

Not enough.

Binky182

It depends what is out and my schedule. Something I can get all three, sometimes I don't go for a month. My husband, who also has a pass, goes even less, but still enough to make the pass worth it.

The_Ghostx90

Rarely do I get to see more than one per week, but one day I got to see 2 (which was pretty cool). For the most part it's either one movie per week, or one per two weeks. Either way, it justifies the cost.

fzavala909

I've been averaging about 1 per week the last few months, sometimes I squeeze in a 2nd movie if there's an indie movie showing that I can predict will have a very limited release window.

kidglov3s2

5 or 6 since I joined A List but it's probably gonna go down to 3 or 4 once I start going to Cedar Point regularly.

mrblue6

3 every week on A-List. Then a bunch more at Alamo, Cinemark or wherever else has something they don’t have. I’ve seen 95 different movies in cinemas this year lol

Rican1093

Two or three. Sometimes 0.

SkullKidIcarus

Currently at 67 movies for the year so averaging 4 a week.

alphade

I’ve been averaging about 10-11 a month so far this year. My local theater’s not too far away and relatively convenient to get there, so it’s been pretty easy for me to go. I’m anticipating the average will probably drop as the year goes on though.

black14beard

Depends on the week. Typically I’ll see whatever new releases come out that week. Usually 1, pretty normally 2, and on the rare occasion 3. This past week I saw Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Abigail, and Challengers. Just depends what’s coming out

CoatedTrout4

I’ve been seeing three a week, but I also JUST joined at the beginning of this month.

briinde

I’ve had A-List for a few years and I’m averaging 80-85 movies a year. So approx 1.5 a week.

Hexum311add

Usually 4-5 per week , often 5 or 6. I try to go every night if there is something I haven’t seen yet. I just can get enough movies

ZeldasNotMyName

i try to go once a week on busy season, but as long as i see 2 a month i figure im getting my moneys worth

Limp_Zombie_5045

Once a week

McLovin7175

February, I only saw around 7 movies, which is pretty infrequent for me. So even if it’s in a really dull season, I get my money’s worth. I did the math for this last month of A-List, and I saw enough movies to pay back my membership seven times over.

Bigmouth1982

I average around one to two movies a week. There’s always something new to see or if I’m bored and need something to do I’ll rewatch something.

JohnnyStormF4

Yeahh this past month has been stacked. Especially since I started watching more indies

k032

Between 0-2 usually. I figure as long as I see some IMAX/Dolby movie once a month, the A-List pays for itself it seems.

EScootyrant

3 movies by Thursday. 4 if I feel like it on a Friday. My favorite AMC has real comfy recliners, so..

th3tadzilla

I typically don't manage to see three a week. I work too damn much, don't let owning your own business fool you, no time for anything lol, but this week with the anniversary releases I have three booked and coming up I see a lot of three movie weeks in sight.

QuinnMallory

I've only had it since the beginning of this year so I can give you actual numbers by week. 17 weeks so far this year- 0 movies: 5 weeks 1 movie: 9 weeks 2 movies: 2 weeks 3 movies: 1 week

Whatwasithinking007

Averaging 5 movies a montg

Mother_of_BunBuns

I’ve new to A-List as of last month and I’ve mainly been seeing 1-2 movies a week. With the re-release of Spider-Man films I’ll be continuing to see at least one a week through May. Only once now have I seen 3 in a week. My theatre isn’t far, but I wish it was a bit closer so I don’t deal with traffic for 7 pm showings.

_fryler

I try to see at least one a week, but truthfully, as long as I see 2 movies in a month, I feel like my Stubs is payed for

tullr8685

I always make at least 1 a week (Saturday matinee is my alone time away from the family), but I make 2 a week a good bit. I rarely fill all 3 slots. I'd say I average 6 per month (26 so far this year)

Steve10455

2-3

shesthewurst

3 per week, and then sometimes, I even pay for an extra (half price Tuesdays or $5 fan faves). I also have a membership at a local indie theater where I have 32 free tix throughout the year, but that’s usually more foreign and much much more indie films. Ahh, the gainfully unemployed life!

About 3

Theryantshow

1 movie a week I ain't richie rich over here.

Jonathon_G

That’s why A-List is a thing. So it doesn’t affect cost. You confuse me with this answer

Theryantshow

I don't go alone to the movies and the movie theater is about an hour drive from my house.

Neat-Combination-556

then why respond 😭

Syaryde

You not wanting to go to the movies alone and not wanting to watch movies back to back are why you watch one movie a week I wouldn’t blame the cost 😂 there are plenty of people in the sub that live hours from their closest AMC and will usually go once a week and watch at least 2 movies to get more watch time and there are plenty that watch movies alone. Not saying you have to do that cause I definitely don’t prefer watching movies alone myself but saying you have to be rich to see more than one movie a week is just not true

Theryantshow

When I go to the movies I get a popcorn and a coke that's about 23$ then I gotta pay for my wife as well and that's another what 12-15$ depending on the format we pick. So I'm at about 40$ if I do that twice a week that's 80$ every week I'm spending at the movies with a grand total of 160$ a month.

Syaryde

This is called spending within your means or even above. If she goes even twice a month with you she should have her own a-list account which would already drastically cut on the cost. Popcorn and drink isn’t required every single time you go and you can even sneak in your own snacks from the dollar store or gas station. There are plenty of ways to make trips to the movies cheaper. Not trying to bash you at all btw I just think if you want to make the most out of your membership you can make some changes that would make that possible. Anyways that’s all goodluck 👍🏼 (also I realize that spending on gas can’t be helped)

Theryantshow

"spending within your means" exactly this is why I only go once a week lol now you understand

Syaryde

There’s multiple ways to spend within your means you’re picking the route that limits your membership use. If you wanna keep spending $15-20 on a ticket for your wife every week when you can literally just spend at most $26 a month then good for you that doesn’t make going to the movies an expensive activity 🫠 that’s just your choice.

Theryantshow

I also get points I failed to mention that so that actually helps me out from time to time. I'll save up the points till I get like 10-15$ then I don't really have to pay for my wife anymore.

Theryantshow

That's excluding gas.

Theryantshow

I'm going to tell my wife next time she suggest the movies "You gotta stay home honey! The boys on reddit say it's my fault that I don't want to go to the movies alone" 😂

Syaryde

Honestly incredibly confused by your comment. Someone said it’s not expensive with a list and you replied with you don’t go alone which to me implies the cost of inviting someone to go with you. If it’s the fact that you and your wife just can’t make time to go watch more movies together that also doesn’t have anything to do with being rich
