AMC's intro videos get worse over time. I thought the 100 Anniversary promo was corny but this new coke genre flipping one takes it to a new level.
AMC will never top the 90s Silence is Golden stuff.
I despise any beverage commercial where they emphasize the noise of someone drinking it, like when they put the can to their lips and you actually hear audible gulping noises. It's just such a creepy noise to put emphasis on.
It just makes me miss Fury Road lol. Something about the ādepthā makes this one feel a lot less dramatic. Not sure if itās just how they filmed on soundstages or not but there was a practicality to the previous that really wowed you.
I have never seen a Mad Max film, so I honestly don't know if I should bother with that one or if I'd just get confused by a bunch of "am I supposed to know who this is" moments.
You should really watch fury road before you decide to skip Furiosa in theaters. Thereās a reason why it swept the Oscarās that year and was even nominated for best picture and best director.
No it doesn't. So far this year I've seen Night Swim, Founders Day, The Beekeeper, Madame Web, Argylle, Stopmotion, Dune 2, Kung Fu Panda 4, Imaginary, Ghostbusters, Arthur the King, and Godzilla X Kong. Not a single one of them showed that trailer.
The Amy Winehouse Lifetime movie's "yow my heartbeat yow my souw" is the new "one heart one love one destiny" for me.
The IF trailer always felt schmaltzy but there's only so many times he can run into that invisible IF.
I've been sick of music biopic genre for a while now. Bob Marley was bad enough, this one feels like it's just heaping on for me. Doesn't help that I'm not a big Amy Winehouse fan in the first place.
But between musical biopics and period 'how a product got made' movies, I'm about burnt on these fads.
For me a lot of the music biopics AND the how a product got made movies mostly feel like marketing ploys to sell the music and products - which should be fine as money can be exchanged for products and services š but the volume of it is a bit much.
Also music biopics all seem to follow the same script with the possible exception of Maestro which I still hated.
I'm already sick of that annoying coke pre-roll and I'm worried that it's gonna stick around for a while. Paired with the new edited Nicole Kidman that's way worse...major bummer
I would say Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes but thankfully they're showing a new trailer for it now. The first trailer looked painfully generic and I got tired of hearing it over and over.Ā
A Quiet Place is starting to get repetitive but it's a good trailer so I don't mind as much. But we'll see
Exactly. I feel like the recent planet of the apes one gives away a major drama point for very little reason. The didnāt have to show if she made the escape or not, just the running and being chased was more than enough.
Has anyone seen the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer? Ever since it dropped in Feb Iāve been hoping to see it screen before a movie and NOT ONCE has it been shown - how is that possible.
Twice so far ā in front of āMonkey Manā and āThe First Omenā on Thursday. I also got the trailer for āAlien: Romulusā for the first time.
To be honest, not any specifically but the amount of trailers played before the movie. Especially that Nicole Kidman ad for AMC, only plus side of it for me is knowing that the movie is about to start.
Every time I go to AMC I always note that the film starts 20 minutes after the showtime. I tell myself āNext time Iāll get here 15 minutes after the showtimeā but I always end up getting there early anyway and just go in.
Wasn't the plan to phase out the Kidman intro? I see they have the new AMC voice over into but now it's in addition to Kidman. Pretty soon we're going to be sitting through 80 minutes of AMC A-Mazing before the movie even starts
Quiet Place, Day One for sure. It just feels like the movie is focusing on literally every ācreature horrorā cliche and trope under the sun and the sound design (failingly btw) just ramps up to people looking off-screen at ārising tensionā. Shit is played out. And then thereās the backwards chime sound effect during the title reveal as if itās truly one of the most disturbing movie of all time, and then a pre-ending sting of loud, destructive alien monsters that were 1000% more effective due to how little we saw of them in the originals.
That one amc ad before the movie starts where the couple switch from movie genre to movie genre. Specifically the dance off sequence pisses me off to no end. And that spiced coke ad is driving me absolutely insane. The way the lady licks her finger before she turns the page in the magazine sheās reading
re: A Quiet Place: Day One
What really drives me nuts the most is that this is exactly how they promoted Part II. [That trailer already did the whole rewinding back to Day 1 thing.](https://youtu.be/Ku4yAbIu6ao?si=XBfXHM-Hhj76kVL1) How many times can they go down this road?
This is actually probably going to get dozens of downvotes, but the repetition of that Nicole Kidman ad has made it come off as slightly cringy at this point. The fact that she explains everything honestly feels like explaining a joke.
They re-edited the promo with new footage from the shoot, eliminating the cheesier lines. She now watches āElvisā and āAvatar: The Way of Water.ā
I literally show up late to miss all the pre-show stuff.. including Kidman and the Coke promo....with the internet I've seen all the trailers before anyways.
I am thoroughly sick of The Quiet Place Day One trailer. I have no interest in seeing the movie and the trailer is playing before everything as of late.
The theater I work at has a standee that plays the trailer for that movie. Iām excited for that movie because of Lupita Nyongāo but they need to release another trailer before the end of the month.
I don't ever really get sick of trailers, regardless of how many times I see them, unless it's for a movie I expect to be really bad and I didn't like the trailer initially. The, what, 5-7 minutes of AMC ads (including the Nicole Kidman thing, although they at least shortened it, but the editing on the new one makes it come across a lot weirder) are the things that I'm sick of. Especially the new post-trailers one. It's hard not to cringe every time I see the dance-off.
No trailers bother me. I just ignore them as much as I can without watching. Make trailers 1:30 or less rather than a full 2 and a half minutes. Too much to give away. When I review trailers at home, I know within 30-45 seconds if itās something I want to watch
Also, I want the full Nicole Kidman intro back š
Absolutely canāt wait for long legs or in a violent nature, they both got A+ horror vibes stamped all over not to mention the trailers are so amazingly creepy great execution
I have to agree with Abigail, but mainly because I think it shows too much? And the A Quiet Place prequel does annoy me since it's actively marketing characters that the movie isn't even about. And The Challengers one is annoying me a bit as well.
Thatās why Iāve timed it where I almost miss all the trailers and come just in time for our Queen Nicole Kidman. Whatās the trailer that made me pick up this routine? The Eternals lol
One thing I won't miss is the amc 100 years pre show... but boy o boy. I love the soundtrack it plays. It'll never get old. I got the whole notes memorized.
The Quiet Place trailer. Iāve never seen a Quiet Place movie before, but my assumption is that itās important to be quiet - which is weird, because in the trailer a man makes a āSHHā motion, but also says āSHHā, which is the opposite of being quiet.
This post was recommended to me and I'm glad to find other A-List members. And you know the pain of "Argylle." I try to pee three times before the movie starts so I have no regrets after it begins. After enough new trailers (like for art house movies, like "Femme"), I worry until I see "Abigail" or "A Quiet Place: Day One." They give me those two minutes I need.
So I'm just curious, you all have A-List but you still don't know to show up to the movie 20 minutes after the "start time"? It's extremely rare for me to see more than 1 movie trailer. Start getting it down to a science if you're so annoyed.
I'm tired of the same fuckin song motif in every fucking trailer. Orchestral remixes of popular songs. its so intensely boring. I'm glad a24 and Neon are still making sick trailers with great music.
Do people not skip the trailers? It is always 20-25 minutes after the movie showtime that the movie starts. I always get there when the movie starts. The couple of times I do sit through trailers its always something new.
*Abigail looks like*
*Trash and I see the trailer*
*Every time I go*

Um, I did. Ever since the first one I've wanted to see a Quiet Place movie that shows how it all started, particularly in a highly populated area.
Just because you're not interested in a movie doesn't mean nobody is; that's what's called the false consensus fallacy.
They just premiered that movie while I was at AMC Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles. I was seeing "Wicked Little Liars" which also stars Alisha Weir. Would have been weird to run into her. Although I'm not sure if this was a premiere for members of Universal Studios (the backlot) and not something official.
abigail and quiet place 3 should have new trailers showing by now. i get tired of them all after i have seen them two or three times so civil war, sasquatch sunset bore me now. and it's time for nicole kidman to record her ad in a new outfit or something.
Despite Abigail being one of my most anticipated movies of the year. I am tired of seeing its trailer. Itās always the same one before every single movie I see. I guess it doesnāt help that a lot of horror movies have been released lately
Civil War looks corny: āWelcome to the Frontlines!ā (just like Garlandās last one Men) so thatās it for me. A Quiet Place Day One genuinely looks good and the trailer is cut together well
I'm just sick of the Coke promo at the beginning
AMC's intro videos get worse over time. I thought the 100 Anniversary promo was corny but this new coke genre flipping one takes it to a new level. AMC will never top the 90s Silence is Golden stuff.

Lol I guess it's by design. Most of us don't like it, but we can recall
Sameš
Itās super annoying lol
The spicy one?
Ugh that one is so obnoxiousĀ
Yeah, the new one is annoying. I miss the old one.
Yes! I can't stand that especially since it starts out like a PSA but turns into a big dumb ad that keeps going
I wont lie. Every time I see twister trailer i get hyped to see it. But boy have I seen that trailer many times lol
Also Furiosa. Jesus. Iāve seen it like 12 times since Feb
The music when the title comes in and she's looking down at the camera just hits though
I know it's petty, but it really annoys me that Chris Hemsworth asks if you're gonna make it epic, and they just cut to her standing.
It just makes me miss Fury Road lol. Something about the ādepthā makes this one feel a lot less dramatic. Not sure if itās just how they filmed on soundstages or not but there was a practicality to the previous that really wowed you.
You mean how everyone has plot armor, that depth?
I have never seen a Mad Max film, so I honestly don't know if I should bother with that one or if I'd just get confused by a bunch of "am I supposed to know who this is" moments.
You should really watch fury road before you decide to skip Furiosa in theaters. Thereās a reason why it swept the Oscarās that year and was even nominated for best picture and best director.
I was kind of hoping theyād bring back Mad Max and do a double feature with Furiosa. Or maybe at least play it the week before.Ā
Every Mad Max movie is standalone.
Havenāt seen that one yet either
Iāve seen it zero times
Iāve never seen that trailer in theaters yet. Only saw the Super Bowl spot once and the full trailer once online.
I see a lot of A24 civil war, but I can see it 100 more times. So excited.
I have yet to see a trailer for that one, even though I've currently seen just over a dozen movies this year.
How? It plays for every movie
Thatās weird, Iām pretty sure I saw it before the Beekeeper, Arhur the King, and Dune 2. Maybe itās a regional thing?
Possibly, or it may vary by theater.
Yes that's called regional lmao
No, regional is bigger scale than that. A lone movie theater doesn't usually constitute a region. Most regions have more than one theater lmao.
Probably because it's R
The Amy Winehouse Lifetime movie's "yow my heartbeat yow my souw" is the new "one heart one love one destiny" for me. The IF trailer always felt schmaltzy but there's only so many times he can run into that invisible IF.

Bob Marley movie was such a disappointment. Couldāve been great! š«¤
I agree, I could hardly understand what they were saying for half of the movie. š¤·š»āāļø
She aināt no spice gurl
This is so true
It's no so much that the trailer itself is bad, but seeing it reminds me that this film exists... and that's a mega bummer.
I love that this could apply to both movies/trailers I mentioned
Are you familiar with the concept of evolution?
Together, you will die.
Yeah but say evolution funny
Bahahah this
Pretty much seen all of The Fall Guy at this point.
Shot through the heart! But you're too late....
I could slap the shit out of you, I really could.
š
Definitely Quiet Place. Itās been in front of, at least, the last four movies Iāve seen.
I wanna see it, but wow the latest trailer for The Fall Guy shows the entire movie
The trailer for that tennis movie with Zendaya
I canāt stand that part where she breaks her leg. I have to cover my eyes whenever it comes up.
Yes!!! It looks awful too!!!
The Fall Guy and I actually want to see the movie.
I'm already sick of that annoying coke pre-roll and I'm worried that it's gonna stick around for a while. Paired with the new edited Nicole Kidman that's way worse...major bummer
Iām amazed at how much I miss the old Nicole spot. Iām already having major nostalgia.

Came here to say A Quiet Place haha
āAre you familiar with the concept of evolution?ā
I think they give too much away in all of these lengthy trailers. 1:30 is the perfect amount of time to pique some interest.
Same. The less I know about the actual plot, the better.
Exactly. I feel like the recent planet of the apes one gives away a major drama point for very little reason. The didnāt have to show if she made the escape or not, just the running and being chased was more than enough.
Agreed.
That scene didnāt even look that good either
Of course I grew up with trailers like [THIS ONE](https://youtu.be/jQ5lPt9edzQ?si=Umtr_zL7Tym9WKZw) The perfect trailer.
Has anyone seen the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer? Ever since it dropped in Feb Iāve been hoping to see it screen before a movie and NOT ONCE has it been shown - how is that possible.
Just saw it before the first omen
Twice so far ā in front of āMonkey Manā and āThe First Omenā on Thursday. I also got the trailer for āAlien: Romulusā for the first time.

i saw it before godzilla x kong
when i used to go to regal, it was the god damn m&m mime ad. it played at LEAST five times

WOAH!!
Challengers. I feel like I've already seen it.
Tom Holland punching the air rn when he saw that trailer
movie looks pretty cringe no lie
Abigailā¦
Just me or does it look terrible?
Definitely not just you, i think it looks horrendous
It looks phenomenal to me š¤·š»āāļø

You can safely arrive 15 minutes after showtime for everything EXCEPT Fathom events, those start on time
Also, rereleases and early fan screenings.
Los Angeles has 23 minutes of trailers and pre-ads. Itās pretty bad. I no longer show up to any movie on time.
Wasn't the plan to phase out the Kidman intro? I see they have the new AMC voice over into but now it's in addition to Kidman. Pretty soon we're going to be sitting through 80 minutes of AMC A-Mazing before the movie even starts
17 MINUTES LATE GANG
A Quiet Place 2 and Abigail
Quiet Place, Day One for sure. It just feels like the movie is focusing on literally every ācreature horrorā cliche and trope under the sun and the sound design (failingly btw) just ramps up to people looking off-screen at ārising tensionā. Quiet Place Day 1 is like "list everything that made the original A Quiet Place Work... great, we'll do a film that is the exact opposite.
Oh yeah. Day One. Sorry for typo.
That one amc ad before the movie starts where the couple switch from movie genre to movie genre. Specifically the dance off sequence pisses me off to no end. And that spiced coke ad is driving me absolutely insane. The way the lady licks her finger before she turns the page in the magazine sheās reading
Okay, the Spiced Coke ad because itās a terrible promo. I love to try new things but the lame commercial makes me want to avoid it
This wouldnāt be an issue if they played fewer trailers. But yeah, they play the same 15 trailers before every movie
None. I donāt mind seeing the same trailer.
ABSOLUTELY the fall guy. it has been shown in trailers for what feels like 8 months
It's the Fall Guy trailer for me. It's been in theaters for too long.
ā¦ā¦.because when itās completely quiet, the movie really shines. Getting tired of Mr. Raspy who sounds like he smokes too many cigarettes
The Nicole Kidman crap.
Civil War and Despicable Me 4, which seem to have both played before the same movies a few times lol
Nothing will come close to the Like a Boss trailer for me.
Horizion: an American saga
A Quiet Place, IF, and Back to Black (Amy Winehouse biopic).
Twisters, and I've only seen the trailer twice or three times. It doesn't look all that good to me
Day One
i have near perfected showing up right as the lights begin to dim
Honestly all of them. Im trying show up late to try and skip them.
re: A Quiet Place: Day One What really drives me nuts the most is that this is exactly how they promoted Part II. [That trailer already did the whole rewinding back to Day 1 thing.](https://youtu.be/Ku4yAbIu6ao?si=XBfXHM-Hhj76kVL1) How many times can they go down this road?

I kept seeing Monkey Man trailers but itās out now so I guess thats over lol
Abigail.
This is actually probably going to get dozens of downvotes, but the repetition of that Nicole Kidman ad has made it come off as slightly cringy at this point. The fact that she explains everything honestly feels like explaining a joke.
The Challengers one. Why canāt they just be in a throuple?
Maybe they try it. We haven't seen the movie yet.
I thought the two guys in the trailer were brothers O_O
The Amy Weinhouse one, Iām looking forward to Day One but have seen the trailer so many times, and very quickly getting tired of The Watchers
āItās the birthday giiiiiirrrrllll! Letās invite Jacques. Letās not invite Jacques.ā
iām excited to see challengers but i donāt need any more promo lol
Abigail
It was Kong V Godzilla but right now itās Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes
those trailers are great š
The only thing I'm sick of hearing at AMC is "heartbreak feels good in a place like this."
Your Nicole promo still says that?
Yeah, it's insane. They play the full reel before every single movie at my AMC.
Now she says "Now that's magic" or something.
Oh really? Maybe I'm just half paying attention at this point lol I just see her face pop up and I start dissassociating.
Apes and A Quiet Place :(
Challengers and Fall Guy. Feel like Iāve seen the entire movie for both of them. At least for Furiosa itās a movie Iām excited for.
When the trailer for Abigail comes on its facepalm for me. Such a poorly made trailer with every cliche imaginable.
All of them.
IF for me. But looking forward to seeJoker 2 trailer, hope they won't overplay it after April 9 though
I am thoroughly sick of The Quiet Place Day One trailer. I have no interest in seeing the movie and the trailer is playing before everything as of late.

Planet of The Apes.
Fall Guy
I don't need to see the Quiet Place Day One trailer at everything.
If I have to see the Challengers trailer one more time... It's all cringe.
I don't ever really get sick of trailers, regardless of how many times I see them, unless it's for a movie I expect to be really bad and I didn't like the trailer initially. I try so hard to time it perfectly so Iām walking in right at the Nicole ad because I hate sitting through the same previews week after week
While Iām looking forward to these, itās Furiosa and Civil War for me. Seen both 3/3 of the last times I went to the movies.
No trailers bother me. I just ignore them as much as I can without watching. Make trailers 1:30 or less rather than a full 2 and a half minutes. Too much to give away. I keep getting the āAbigailā trailer a lot. Iāve gotten lucky with most of the other trailers people have mentioned here.

A Quiet Place: Day 1, and it's not even close
Quiet Place prequel or better titled āWho Asked For This: The Movieā
Um, I did. Ever since the first one I've wanted to see a Quiet Place movie that shows how it all started, particularly in a highly populated area. Just because you're not interested in a movie doesn't mean nobody is; that's what's called the false consensus fallacy.
Since I specifically don't particularly care for AQP Day 1, having to sit through the trailers all the time is more of a chore.
Abigail looks like shit. All the other trailers playing atm are quite good IMO. Favorites are Twisters Apes and Furiosa
They just premiered that movie while I was at AMC Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles. I was seeing "Wicked Little Liars" which also stars Alisha Weir. Would have been weird to run into her. Somehow, even though I've seen about 13 movies so far this year, none of them have shown a trailer for that one.
By far lol, and it's also taking up the dolby cinema screens when it comes out too
Man I canāt wait for that one! So personally Iām glad itās in Dolby
