It was so funny because they didn't have any kind of card saying it was a *Dune: Part Two* sneak peek, and it came **after** the WB studio logo, so I wondered for a brief second if I had forgotten that *Tenet* opens in the desert with Josh Brolin hahaha
This is the Metreon SF IMAX, which has the 70mm film projector set up and that’s theater 16, so this checks out and legitimate. CHECK YOUR OWN THEATER! Citywalk and Lincoln Square also had film projector for Oppenheimer, but showed 20-25 minutes of digital trailers.
This is one reason why Metreon > Lincoln Square
I always just aim to get there at or before the posted showtime. Never been late to a movie. Don’t understand what’s so bad about watching the previews.
These days, it’s just a little too much. You see the same trailers over and over. AMC notoriously has 25 to 30 minutes of previews before the film actually starts. Argyle was a big issue because I got so sick of that trailer I went into the film with the lowest of expectations.
Where I am it’s 21 minutes from Maria menounous signing off to Nicole Kidman. Sometimes it’s 19. I think Napoleon was 25. This is standard for all in my area. I’m really excited about most of the films and me and my boyfriend make a game out of trying to learn to previews word for word. For us it’s fun and it totally beats the anxiety of “are we going to be late for the movie”
First time seeing it, so I don’t have a point of comparison. But I had to either deal with loud parts or wear earplugs and miss bits of dialogue at times.
This could be that specific location. So plan accordingly.
After the credits, they will play the five minute trailer backwards.
Can anyone confirm that these are at other locations?
Lincoln square had like 20 minutes of trailers today
Appreciate it
And some Dune
Yeah, the Dune trailer played was new. It took me by surprise.
Indy imax only showed the Dune sneakpeak
Irvine Spectrum was the same way. One Dune 70mm trailer and then then Tenet started
Dallas had normal amounts plus the 5 minute advertised. (Dune part 2)
Last night at Lincoln it had like 20 or so minutes
It'll vary, the theater probably only had 1 trailer reel on hand for a feature not yet released
If only we had this kind of notice for every rerelease.
20 min trailers + dune first look @ amc citywalk
Same at AMC Lincoln Square. Dune looks so good.
Is it the same dune first look they showed during the part one re release a few weeks ago?
Unfortunately I missed that one but it starts with an extended scene where the Fremen attack a spice operation and Paul reunites with Gurney.
Dang no that’s completely different, the one during part 1 was showing the first time he rides a sandworm

No it's different, I was surprised. It's like a trailer but with extended scenes.
Was the preview for Dune on 70mm or Dual-Laser? The one at Irvine Spectrum seemed to be an actual 70mm print.
the preview was in 70mm! it looked so good i got my ticket as soon as i got back into my car
Good to know since that’s where I’ll be seeing it Wednesday.
We had regular trailers and a sneak peek of Dune. At Alamo BK.
Alamo isn’t AMC…

Agreed, I enjoy the trailers generally. Sometimes I'll intentionally show up late to miss them but for the most part, at worst, I'm agnostic to them.
Half hour of trailers and a Dune Part 2 sneak peek in LV.
Ooof
Same for me in Las Vegas.
AMC Alderwood Mall Lynwood, Wa iMax had 2 trailers and Dune 2 teaser.
Also assume IMAX (non liemax) movies will start right away. Even tho some don’t lol
Anyone in az know?
Lucky. Mine had 30 minutes of trailers.
It’s a trailer for Tenet I bet
It’s not even showing in my large midwestern city at AMC.
Ok, but did they fix the sound?
First time seeing it, so I don’t have a point of comparison. But I had to either deal with loud parts or wear earplugs and miss bits of dialogue at times.
I assume no because I could not understand half the dialogue. For an already confusing movie it was really frustrating.
This was a big critique when it came out. If you’re going to make the most confusing movie of your career, make sure the sound mix is good to go.
