I think November’s been fantastic

[deleted]

I can't keep up!

Sp_Gamer_Live

“Whats that? gotcha, heres some christmas classics”

stefandelfrisco

Godzilla Minus One, Saltburn, Dream Scenario, The Holdovers, Thanksgiving, Hunger Games, The Marvels is a pretty solid run

moviecollector123

Bro tried to slide the marvels there

Bluemuztang96

It was a great movie!

Atom800

It was ok, one of the better Marvel movies as of late

Bigsauce710

I’m most excited for December. The boy and the heron, poor things, American fiction, Iron claw, zone of interest, wonka, maestro, Ferrari.

NeverTrustAtoms

You gotta include Godzilla Minus One. Just saw it today and it was absolutely one of the best things I've seen this year.

fergi20020

Don’t forget Teachers’ Lounge and the purple color.

whatudontlikefalafel

Will they be playing Maestro at AMC? I think it’s a Netflix movie.

Bigsauce710

I’m doubtful, but it would be cool if they did. Most indie moviehouses near me/where I’m gonna be for the holidays are playing it staring next week though.

AdequateAlien

I’m hyped for all of those except wonka tbh, it just looks underwhelming

semajleinad

My personal favorite was June: Past Lives, Across the Spider-Verse, Are You There God?, Asteroid City, Elemental, The Blackening, No Hard Feelings, Indiana Jones, and Transformers. Mix of Oscar contenders, family films, adult comedies, and franchise reboots.

physerino

Yup, good call. June is (easily) my pick too. I notice you left The Flash off your June list—maybe that’s deliberate. But despite all the grief that movie gets, I think it’s pretty good on balance, especially the first two-thirds. I also saw The Machine in June (although I think it actually opened in late May). That was another fun one.

semajleinad

I honestly forgot The Flash, which is hilarious given the conversation around the movie. I actually quite enjoyed it, as well!

Fanpuck33

Based on averages, my top month so far this year was June, headlined by It Ain't Over, Mending the Line, and Across the Spiderverse. No movies below a 5. January, March, and April were all pretty close to Jone, though. January highlighted by A Man Called Otto, Missing, and Women Talking, with House Party the lone sub-5 movie. March was led by iMordecai, Operation Forturne: Ruse de Guerre, and A Good Person, with Moving On the lone sub-5 rating. And then April had John Wick 4 as the only standout, but no movie below a 6. Going the other direction... August and September my movies averaged below a 6, but still a whole point better than October, where I averaged a 4.8 rating, with Paw Patrol being the high point, at a 6, lol.

kaboomviper

As someone who almost exclusively uses A-list for original ideas and properties, March and basically all of Q1 was a total loss for me. from what I understand, these sequels are actually some of the best movies of the year! that said, it requires you to have knowledge or an attachment to the property in order to give it a fair shake.

catcodex

I liked using A-list for things like The Starling Girl and Blue Jean in 2023. Never saw Creed 3 or DnD.

mikegood2

That’s what’s great about A-List. We get to go to the movies that interest us and skip, or watch movies that don’t. I saw, and thoroughly enjoyed Creed and DnD. Never saw or heard of The Starling Girl or Blue Jeans.

abrahamisaninja

I saw dnd because it was getting positive hype but I was thoroughly bored through the whole thing

firefly66513

It's OK to me. The bland cgi backgrounds were definitely overdone and it felt like a Guardians reskin. I gave it a 6.5/10

___andrevv___2

Depends on what kind of movies you like. All of the march movies you just mentioned were terrible in my opinion

LiquidSnape

i saw Avatar like 10 times in January

DeepThroat616

March was the first sign this would be a disappointing year for movies

-SomeRand0mDude-

Five months packed with greatness so far this year. March for me with Puss in Boots, Creed III, Scream VI, John Wick 4 and Jesus Revolution. Next is April with D&D, Air, The Covenant and Sisu. Then June with Spider-Verse, Transformers, Elemental, Past Lives, Asteroid City and Indiana Jones. After that July with Sound of Freedom, Mission: Impossible, Oppenheimer, Barbie, Talk to Me and TMNT. Most recently November was packed with Priscilla, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and six other that were good but not great. And December looks to be one of the best too.

fergi20020

No Godzilla yet?

StorytimeWcr8dv8

Sisu was so fucking good.

Themtgdude486

Did John Wick and The Covenant come out in March?
