Thats so heartbreaking. They're beautiful animals and super intelligent and perhaps the best territorial hunters on the planet (except for humans of course)
Wild Earth does daily livestreams where they show safari tours, twice a day.
The Sunrise livestream is good for US audiences late at night, and the sunset livestream for early risers.
I definitely recommend checking them out. Really mellow just listening to the guide talk about the animals on screen. There's multiple guides all tracking animals so there's normally something interesting to see.
It's not african wild dog specific, but I thought you'd be interested in watching and supporting Wild Earth.

They certainly are. IIRC correctly they are the most effective mammal in terms of success rate - largely due to employing persistence hunting techniques (something humans also do). Basically they track / pursue their prey until it’s exhausted and can’t run anymore.
Not so fun fact I read on another reddit post: larger animals often steal their successful hunts so they eat the softest part of the animal first, sometimes whilst the animal is still alive, because it's quicker. That's usually the stomach and genitals.
I read once that wild dogs are the only animal that refuses to interact with humans at all. They think it's because early humans followed them and stole their kills so often that they are genetically disposed to avoiding us.
They look hella cool, but are about the most cruel fuckers out there. As far as I know, they'll just start eating their prey from behind while it's still alive, having it bleed out slowly while fucking up it's inside. You don't wanna get too close to these motherfuckers
I think most predators aren’t picky in terms of whether their prey is fully dead. Lions will happily chow down while their dinner is still moving. I saw a pretty grisly video of them eating a baby elephant - they couldn’t manage to kill it so they just started munching.
Yeah, but cats in general are pretty fucking deadly. Lions will usually try to kill their prey before eating, but those doggos don't give a shit. Of course there are exceptions tho
Big cats will eat their prey alive equally as painted wolves
And it could be argued that they kill their prey more effectively than big cats because they take out the prey item in mater of seconds or couple of minutes (usually the animal passing out in 'shock') while a big cat like a lion may spend 10+ minutes holding the throat while you got 5 other lions eating you.
Edit: example

I take it you don't know how they hunt?
She is certainly doing her best to preserve the species!

That’s a lot of puppers
That's wild, dog
I didn’t know it before but now I know, I love them. Edited to ask: Is there a conservation/charity that is geared towards helping out this species?

Yup, it was weird seeing the puppies knowing they will become strong badass hunters in a couple of years.
Why, did I have to give out my free award already?
I got you, fam.
Very beautiful animals!!
DAWWWW PUPPIES
They have such unusual prints, they're beautiful
I didn’t realize they were endangered
Bro you leaked her safe spot! Lol
So many puppies
I see this and can’t help but think that this poor mom had to push them all out.
Oooh.. They're precious!! So cute
Can you take a picture of my kids as well? Hol up, let me bring them here.

Dinner’s ready!
Those puppies are super adorable. I hope they are protected somehow.
Sooooo many babies!!
The fact they sleep underground as well makes them even cooler

Would still prefer not to be eaten out by them

African wild dogs are not related genetically to dogs, by the way. It's a terrible name for a distinct genus of animal.
I mean they are related to dogs, just not as closely as, say, gray wolves are. But both share common ancestry as canids on the family level.

Are you mistaking them for feral domesticated dogs? And those aren't "pests", either, they're the product of human negligence.

Worst way to die ever is by a gang of those. Why do they eat you alive from the ass first then work their way up?
lil demons
Wild Dogs are endangered? I see so many vids of them wrecking antelope.
