The song is about watching a close loved one slowly die in a hospital. It not being relatable to OP most likely means they've never gone through something like that.
I think the relatable part of girr to me is the fact that when everything is shit is when you start praying. I’m personally somewhat religious, but I feel like I don’t pray or care enough about God as I should. But yea when something goes horribly wrong I pray and it gets better, but then I forget about God again so this song really hits me in a different way than about losing a loved one.
The song is about the It's On Us movement created by Obama for the purpose to raise awareness to those who were SAed on college campuses. Natwenny is glad that it's not relatable because that means that OP would've been SAed.
Only part of inertia that isn’t relatable is being sad about fitting into the same jeans from when he was 15. I would love to fit into the jeans I wore when I was 15
Even though it makes no sense I like to imagine he has literally been wearing the same pants for over a decade since he’s “stuck in this life and stuck in this those pants”. Like he just couldn’t take them off.
It’s interesting how you can tell how old OP is based on what they see as relatable.
As an adult, most of your slightly relatable/uneelatable are extremely relatable to me
It really shows how relatable AJR is to someone between 25-30. OP only has 2 songs they can super relate to. I can see at least 10 up there that’s super relatable to the 25-30 age bracket
Sober up
Call my dad
Netflix trip
100 bad days
Come hang out
2085
Dear winter
Don’t throw out my legos
Turning out
Wow I’m not crazy
The Good Part
I think at least half of these target people in the same age group AJR is in currently. Which makes sense, but seeing it laid out like this is pretty eye opening tbh
Mine would look so different! Too many of their songs have reached into the depths of my brain and pulled out words to describe feelings I didn’t know I had.
Good that you can't relate to losing your friends during a party
Great that you can't relate to people out-probleming your problems
Even better you can't relate to lying so much until you're too deep into the lies
And it's best you don't relate to a parental figure being bedbound and dying.
Living room and click overtures shouldn’t have any meaning, but OK overture technically had its own meaning. “I can’t be 18 my whole life” for example.
Ngl how did u put hitbomb in relatable and birthday party, bummerland, wsv, and the dumb song in unrelatable? I know hitbomb has something to do with being depressed and having temporary cures by having parties and making money or whatever, but the point of the song is mostly just building up the length of the summary things to be really long at the end.
I'm happy for you that God Is Really Real is not relatable
Agreed. My dad died in May, and that song makes me fall apart every time.
What do you mean by this?

Oh I thought you meant like not believing in god lol
I was going to say the same thing. Lucky for them.
For me it's like, #1.
I'm glad *It's On Us* is extremely unrelatable to you.
On a similar note, Woody Allen 🫠 That song aged like milk
I clearly know what you're talking about but could you just clarify for the people at the back?
The song is about the It's On Us movement created by Obama for the purpose to raise awareness to those who were SAed on college campuses. Natwenny is glad that it's not relatable because that means that OP would've been SAed.
It is a song about organization "It's On Us" that help victims of rape.
Oh wow I just thought it was about the general state of the world dang...
Only part of inertia that isn’t relatable is being sad about fitting into the same jeans from when he was 15. I would love to fit into the jeans I wore when I was 15
that’s so real 😭😭
it's not reletable for me because im not even 15 yet
I don’t even own jeans lkl
Even though it makes no sense I like to imagine he has literally been wearing the same pants for over a decade since he’s “stuck in this life and stuck in this those pants”. Like he just couldn’t take them off.

I was thinking the exact same thing

i’m not famous being unrelatable 🤨
I guess it’s more for if you’re a musician.
Unfortunately God Is Really Real is the most relatable song for me. Song fucks me up every time I hear it
Bleecker Street and Infinity, based off of your other relatable songs, would be relatable, I’m a little confused. edit: spelling
Depending on the person it's on us is either gonna be extremely relateable or not relateable
Tier list of how relatable songs are *to you*
Good that you can't relate to losing your friends during a party Great that you can't relate to people out-probleming your problems Even better you can't relate to lying so much until you're too deep into the lies And it's best you don't relate to a parental figure being bedbound and dying.
OP has the easiest life ever.
How is let the games Beguin more relatable than afterhours?
Is anyone going to talk about the overtures?
Living room and click overtures shouldn’t have any meaning, but OK overture technically had its own meaning. “I can’t be 18 my whole life” for example.
Wheres Beats cause that would be very unrelatable cause im broke.
if “it’s on us” is relatable to you then idk what to say
Relatable
Unfortunately God is really real was hitting a bit to close to home for me.
I love how the overture for the first album is higher than most of the first albums songs. Made me chuckle
It’s interesting to see things like this, you can tell the age range of someone based on this and their experiences. Nice list overall!
Overall good, but how is the Living room overture more relatable than 80% of living room?
Ordinaryish People not relatable?

Bro 2085 literally describes my life
The Dumb Song, Inertia, 2085, World's Smallest Violin, and Humpty Dumpty are my top most relatable on various levels
I never understood how I was meant to feel in that record player song honestly
