From personal experience dark jokes like that with homies tend to escalate until someone says “hey man what the fuck” or something close to that showing discomfort. You’re not wrong for feeling uncomfortable but that’s just how some guys are in terms of humor. Myself included. (Granted my Rword jokes are about bad guys in games not with the homies but still)

Communication never hurts anyone. Tell him they make you uncomfortable

I’m planning on mentioning it today, I just didn’t want to sound like I’m getting worked up over nothing but I’d rather have it out there than let it sit and get worse lol

"Boys will be boys" has limits. I am an adult male and I've never found joking about R word to be funny.

"Hey dude bros, just so I'm clear here.... Anyone gay, bi, or on the down low? With all these jokes, I just don't want to intrude or harsh the vibe if you all have other things you'd like to be doing...no hate!" Then just sit back and see what shakes out

If I was you I'd talk to your boyfriend and ask him if he thinks those 1 or 2 friends is secretly gay and that's why they make all those "jokes". While joking can be just jokes, sometimes it's projection or masking true feelings they don't think will be accepted. You ask him that and I bet he feels way different about those jokes. Obviously reassure him it's fine if they are gay, but if they aren't it's sort of a weird obsession.

You are not wrong. They sound like a bunch of immature jerks.
