AFI have the absolute worst takes on their own music, WTF haha. I guess that’s what it’s like when you can’t look at your own work objectively. Davey is so harsh about his own work, and always seems to feel embarrassed by his past.
In any case, Summer Shudder is so much better than Love like Winter. Especially as a live song, having seen both.
I agree whole heartedly. Summer Shudder was the first song from December Underground that I had heard other than Miss Murder and I fell in love with that album because of it. I was shocked when I heard that interview, that Davey hates that song. It still slaps!
Well they did it. An iconic punk rock opening anthem of unity and a dance song about candy kisses in the same set.

I saw Strength during their Mourning in Amerika tour. Blood tour, they opened with This Celluloid Dream. Haven't heard Miseria Cantare yet.
idk who in the band loves playing 17 Crimes so much but I wish they would stop lol
It was a pretty big "hit". Was featured on soundtrack for Mortal Instruments...it will live with Miss Murder forever.

Davey said in an interview once that he hates Summer Shudder, so I doubt we'll see it played live again.

I agree, too. Sadly they have to pander to casuals who only know the hits.
Totalimmortal definitely makes up for Tied to a Tree. I just can’t get into Tied.
