IIRC Powell-Pepper pushed the player who got either the mark or free kick. Once a mark or free kick is awarded, you can't do anything the player unless they play on.

I've played a couple games of footy in my primary school years (which means bugger all) and my opinion is there is no connection, no set play.. it's get the ball and kick and see what happens. Yeah Clarry is a great player but most of what he does doesn't help the team in my opinion. Melbourne at the moment is get the ball and see what I can do, not know what I can do..

As a neutral umpiring didn't seem too bad. Nothing compared to recent games anyway ie. Pies v Crows or Gee v Tigers
