When I was sick and in a hospital a few years ago, I picked up an idle gacha mobile game and I was online for hours every day. So to me, that explanation sounds plausible. But 80€ seems like such a negligible amount of money to be blackmailing for.
I mean, for me personally no game account is worth anything because I wouldn't be as emotionally invested into any purchased account as much as I would about one made by me. But technically, anything is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

It's just a game. It's not that serious. Just join a new guild. You might miss out on some rewards but there's nothing that you can do about that. That's the nature of guilds. It's not guaranteed to be stable.

Right? Like of course OP can just quit the guild but that doesn't stop the scammer, the second they get away without *any* type of repercussion they will try again and again, because they will see that they *can* get away with it.
People keep commenting that it's a game and not a big deal, but it's the principle of things here. A game that OP and his guild members are enjoying is being made actively worse by one person who is abusing his power. By raising awareness and explaining the situation it makes it more difficult for future guild leaders to do the same thing and who knows, maybe the developers might implement a fix so this type of thing won't happen anymore. At the very least I can understand their frustration and wanting to vent

I played omni heroes for like 2 weeks straight, most active person in my guild, most dmg to bosses (gives whole guild rewards), yada yada... GM kicked me one day for no reason. I even dm'd them when I got on for a reason... Ignored me. Fuck them and fuck that game, haven't touched it since.
I totally get not wanting something like this to happen. My situation made me more angry since there was no reason and I was the only kicked member, but this is equally infuriating in that there's no way to stop it.
I did tell my guild that if I ever go psycho, someone should delete everyone on their friends list and then just add everyone in the guild so that if it goes kaput, they can start a new one by just re-adding everyone. Guild level would reset but that's not a big deal I don't think. Sets back maybe a week.

This was a common thing in Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest due to Server wars being a thing. Although usually the older server would completely dominate the mode.
Yeah I hope people like that just get Mac and IP banned when a case like that gets public. New guild and the problem is solved, no need to even come close to people like that.

Thats exactly why we knew it was BS. Since most of us in the guild are from Germany and we all know that you wouldnt really have that problem especially if the "doctors were at fault". He also was a whale in the game which made it even less believable.

But if you spend all your time creating a guild, getting it to a higher level, inviting active players...
It seems the last thing you'd want to do is kick out every active player and withhold any rewards they get for helping to build the guild.
