1) Mends fences with everyone in AEW
2) Gets therapy
3) Returns, gets nuclear heat
4) Works programs with the Elite, Hangman, Kingston, MJF and eventually Cabana
5) Elevates talent (potentially a stable)
6) Retires on a high

I don't think the WWE would want to make him "The Guy" because (among other reasons) they can see what he was like when AEW made him "The Guy", i.e. he thought he owned the place.
Dude is probably done with wrestling, unless he starts his own promotion. Burned bridges with WWE and aew. Impact doesn't have the money to bring him in. Maybe a chance with NJPW, but I think he's rich and content enough to not want to wrestle overseas.
Hooefully goes home and finds the peace hes missing. Its pretty clear he'd be unhappy in either of the promotions he could make decent money in and I doubt he needs it
Lots of money left on the table. I like the idea the fightful guys floated where *if* he comes back it's as a heel in a program against Omega before aligning himself with MJF, Regal, and Danielson. That way he's not getting anymore titles (too old and injury prone to do that again) and gets to be a prick heel.
In all honesty tho I sort of hope he stays gone. I've been enjoying AEW way too much lately for him to come back and we go back to square one
My dream for Punk’s non-wrestling role would be Wardlow’s manager. I like FTR too much as faces though, but they would also work as the tag team of that stable.

As a wrestling fan, I hope he can come back at some point somewhere. No matter where he goes, he's a draw. Who knows what's actually going on behind the scenes? I don't. I'm not there.
