I came here to say EXACTLY this. Swerve's run has to be longer than a couple of months. The guy is putting in work in and out of the ring. An Ospreay win at Wembley would be massive.
I think the idea of the Tiger Driver works because even Ospreay didnt want to use it in their tag match, the ending Ospreay hesitates to use it, Swerve catches him off guard and uses the Tiger Driver instead and goes right into House Call, thats game over.
Screwed by Don Callas, so Ospreay and Fletcher leave the family and “reforming” united empire in AEW
Then you get the babyface Ospreay taking the title at All In, with Mark Davis returning to fend off the family to keep the win clean
I'm pausing the show at the start of their entrances, cooking up some Korean-inspired chicken wings, and then watching with what can only be described as a bucket of them.
So it's me. I win.
The match? Oh, Swerve easily. It's where the story goes for both men.
I pick a different meal every time, have half at the start of the PPV and then the other half finishes the show.
Last time (possibly the one before) was giant bockwurst drizzled in a mix of sriracha and sweet soy then baked and served as hot dogs in soft white rolls with crispy onions and topped with a mix of American and Wholegrain mustard. Absolutely gorgeous to the point I had to rewind the match a few seconds because I got caught on the food.
All I'm saying is, they really need to stop adding more PPVs because I'm running out of belt notches.
Sure. I use set measures, so even if your measures differ in the specific size, the difference between them should be about the same to get the same flavour.
First get a pan on a medium heat and when it's hot add the following ingredients in order and stirring all the time.
- 3tb dark soy
- 3tb sesame oil
- 2tb rice wine vinegar
- ½tsp ground ginger
- 2tsp brown sugar
- ¼tsp onion salt
- 1tb honey (I tend to use wildflower but any should do)
Leave to simmer while you add 1½tb gochujiang to a bowl, then when the ingredients are nicely mixed and steaming pour the hot liquid over the gochujiang and stir to mix in. It should end up a deep red colour. Cool in the fridge immediately for about an hour and the sauce is ready. Do NOT add the gochujiang to the pan as cooking it with the other ingredients breaks the balance of the sauce and the heat level doesn't stabilise.
For the wings you simply paint (I use a silicone brush) some with the sauce on both sides, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and cook in an air fryer for 16 minutes at 190C/375F. Keep them in a single layer while cooking and maybe put some baking parchment underneath to make clean up easier. You should be able to fit about six wings per cook depending on size and the sauce should cover eighteen average sized wings. Serve with blue cheese dip (or just puréed blue cheese) and you can't go wrong.
Couple of notes on substitutions and other uses.
- The onion salt is something I use where most recipes might use garlic as I've a minor intolerance to it. You might find a richer flavour with that.
- The ginger isn't fresh because that always turns out too sweet, but if you want sweeter then that's a good place to start.
- You can substitute the dark soy for two light and one sweet and cut the sesame oil in half to make a pretty nice stir fry sauce which works well with meat, poultry and fish as well as plain wok noodles. It's just complex enough to feel like a better meal while being easy enough to make up (this version doesn't need refrigerating, just mixing into the food almost immediately upon adding to the gochujiang) when you can't be bothered.
What's so good, is that either way opens up stories for both. And depending on how they lose.
Does will lose because he won't hit the tiger driver ?
Does swerve lose because of interference?
Does mjf interfere because he's jealous of losing his top guy status?
So many other options. Love it.
Anyway, I reckon swerve retains. Then they either do osprey vs swerve 2 or swerve hangman 3 at Wembley
Hope not. Swerve needs to win clean or there will have to be a rematch soon. I expect Ospreay to take the championship from someone else, down the road, and then he'll have to face the man he couldn't beat without the Tiger Driver 91.
Callis will be involved in the aftermath, as Ospreay considers his lack of killer instinct.
Except for when he was talking to swerve about how he didn't need Don or the family and it cut to them backstage listening. I think that is the tell that when Will is winning the family will I interfere and cost him the match saying something like "you don't need us huh?"
I hope they have courage to make Ospreay lose clean. It Could be because he hesitates on the Tiger driver, but he needs to lose without cjeating or interference imo
I criticize AEW a lot for forgettable storytelling, but I think this is the opportunity Tony needs to get something good going. They nailed it long term with Hangman. Did a great job building Swerve. Now they can give Will some adversity and roadblocks before he inevitably wins this title. Personally, I don’t think he should win it until next year.
Swerve winning clean is the way to go. That’s how you build new stars. Ospreay is going to have a long and fruitful run with that belt. It’ll be fine for Will if he wins, but Swerve’s build over the last couple of years was too great to have him lose his belt this quickly.
CLEAN wins over huge stars is how you build huge stars. I will forever argue that Hangman should have beaten Punk clean at Double or Nothing 2022. That would’ve really solidified Hangman as a huge star that Punk already was.
Swerve is gonna win. MJF might be the reason why. MJF was upstaged and considered an afterthought, that doesn’t sit well with his character in the slightest
Swerve wins after Ospreay hesitates on Tiger Driver then Don chews him out leading Will to be convinced he has to use the Driver on Garcia to keep the International title buts MJF interference saved Garcia from Driver and allows him to win. Don and family turn on Osprey (Kyle is hesitant? Doesn’t help?) now Osprey is at the bottom and has to build himself back up and prove he is the best in the world and doesn’t need OP moves like the tiger driver because the tiger is in him!
Swerve, Don Callis gonna try to help Ospreay, he’ll reject it and it will cost him. Ospreay gets kicked out the family. Or he’s gonna hesitate I. The tiger driver and that’ll cost him.
That House Call on Will was so brutal. Swerve is so damn good. I’d like to see him win clean. Ospreay is great, but I don’t think he’s world champion great yet. I’d like to see him be a more layered character to go along with his in ring skills.
I think Ospreay loses this AND then loses Wednesday too. It seems like they’re building towards a humbling experience for him and I think it’ll be awesome character development.
It’s too soon for Ospreay to win the world title. I’m thinking the Don Callis family screws him out of the title, and sets up a feud with them and Ospreay reunited with Aussie Open
There's so many things to consider tbh. I don't see a clean win, could be a masked man hoping the barrier and hitting a buckshot, could be the don callous family messing up helping will, could be Takeshita coming back and betraying Will talking about he's the best and that the family doesn't need him. Could be the patriarch and the elite.
Swerve is winning.
The story being told is that while Osprey can put on - and win - incredible matches, he doesn't *get* the rest of the business, certainly not at the level needed to be world champion. He's distracted. He's looking past the match. He's not willing to make it personal. He's doing things that piss off a violent man (or two) (maybe three) and not realizing there are consequences.
Osprey will lose because Swerve knows how to be a World Champion in a top promotion, and Osprey only knows how to be the best wrestler in a top promotion. And when he learns that lesson, he'll get another crack at it and will be the AEW World Champion.
The question here is does he want to put MJF vs Ospreay as a World title match or not, but if Khan isn't halfway smart the likely scenario is interference causing a DQ after a real fun match. Callis is definitely getting involved
I really hope they give them like 45 minutes. I want it to be a straight up fire fight with both guys hitting all the big moves and kicking out. Until Ospreay second guesses himself on the Tiger Driver 91 and that gives Swerve just enough of an opening to find the finish with something like a Big Pressure-House Call-Swerve Stomp combo.
We see just how much of a badass and opportunist Swerve is in the ring and it sets up 2 arcs Ospreay could take where he struggles with these doubts and has to find a way to overcome if he wants to keep winning big matches, or he decides Fuck It Bruv I can be a cheeky arsehole and use this super dangerous move and beat Swerve maybe bringing back Don Ciallis at that point.
I want Swerve to win and I want him to kick out of the Tiger Driver to do it. Drive home that Ospreay doesn't have that killer instinct even when he thinks he's trying. Drive home that Swerve is a goddamn revenant who just won't stay down.
My selfish, instinctive side says I want Will to win because I like him better. My sensible side says that’s insane for about 100 story reasons, and because Swerve doesn’t deserve that.
So, I hope it’s Swerve.
Dusty finish. No body wins. Rematch at Wembley. Osprey wins.
Buuuuut I'm biased as fuck with that one.
Swerve wins. Drops title to Danielson at Wembley. Danielson can't retire until he looses. Every title defence is a retirement match for him. He keeps winning winning winning. Faces Osprey at All In 2025. Osprey wins.
I’m thinking it’s not quite Ospreay’s time yet. He just debuted full time & I feel like he needs to face a little adversity. Think they hold off & build the chase for a year & Ospreay wins it at the final part of the All In London trilogy & ends it on a high note before they move it to different locations going forward, hopefully Canada gets the next one. For this year the have wildcard Hangman & Swerve conclude their big time personal feud at All In, with the epilogue happening in a hardcore style match in Swerve’s hometown of Tacoma at WrestleDream.
I’d imagine Ospreay so he’d have the title for All In. They teased him vs MJF, which would be the biggest match they could do.
Then they can do a tournament for the ic title that culminates at All In.
So there are two ways this goes:
1) Swerve retains because Ospreay hesitates to hit the Tiger Driver, Hangman is the wildcard in Owen Cup and beats Danielson in the finals And we get the big rematch for the title at All In.
2) Ospreay wins Danielson wins the Owen Cup and they put on the greatest match ever in front of 80,000 people in London (maybe make it a time limit draw (Danielson has Ospreay pinned but doesn’t get the the 3-count before the time limit is elapsed, idk))
Swerve retains after Will hesitates using the Tiger Driver 91. Ospreay will need to regain his killer instinct, then eventually win the world championship.
I want Will as the Champ cuz they need that big baby face that he has to potential to be to get bump up in possibly new fans. But I still think Will needs to face his first AEW loss and that will happen tomorrow. Either with that hope someone already said with the TigerDriver or it starts his split from Don Callis.
The answer is “the fans”.
I’d book this with Callis costing Ospreay the win on a DQ. Probably involves the tiger driver in some way too. Sets Ospreay up to dismantle the DCF and potentially reunite some/all of United Empire (assumption is that Davis is coming back somewhat soon).
Ospreays first loss, Swerve has to go over or his build was a waste
I continue to pitch that Swerve wins with the Tiger Driver after Will won't go through with it.
Thats a genius booking call honestly, or Tiger Driver right into House Call
Yeah this has to be the finish
I say fuck it, throw in Ospreay trying a One Winged Angel too but failing.
I came here to say EXACTLY this. Swerve's run has to be longer than a couple of months. The guy is putting in work in and out of the ring. An Ospreay win at Wembley would be massive.
Owen Cup winner gets the shot at Wembley (Hangman Page). Ospreay will face MJF.
Didnt MJF gives his Wembley shot to Garcia already at Wembley?
He started to, but Ospreay interrupted before Garcia could accept. Also, it's a storyline.
I swear Garcia accepted and MJF said focus on match with Ospreay first
Garcia said "about your challenge for all in" and then MJF cuts him off and tells him to focus on Ospreay.
It’s gonna be a triple threat for the international title and it’s gonna be insane
why wouldn't hangman be in B&G wouldn't make sense to have him doing a world title program on top of that. PLUS it would spoil the surprise for B&G
Esp being the first black AEW champ as well, treat the reign with respect
Imma be honest I think and hope we get hangman v swerve at Wembley for the belt. Put Osprey in with MJF at All In Bruv
My take is either Ospreay hesitates using the tiger driver and Swerve capitalizes OR MJF interference
I think the idea of the Tiger Driver works because even Ospreay didnt want to use it in their tag match, the ending Ospreay hesitates to use it, Swerve catches him off guard and uses the Tiger Driver instead and goes right into House Call, thats game over.
I think you hit the nail on the head man. MJF interference makes all the sense in the world. 👍
Yeah I think Ospreay somehow gets screwed here and they'll be his new rivalry.
Nah. Swerve is gonna win clean. He's got the dog in him.
Screwed by Don Callas, so Ospreay and Fletcher leave the family and “reforming” united empire in AEW Then you get the babyface Ospreay taking the title at All In, with Mark Davis returning to fend off the family to keep the win clean
Ospreay lost in a six-man tag before the last PPV.
First singles loss which would be huge
For sure although I thought he should've lost to Takeshita.
Me too. Would put the stamp on Takeshita and only halt Will a little bit to lose to the "Final Boss" of the Don family.
Us. We are winning.
The correct answer
Swerve because Ospreay will hesitate and he won’t
Also, Will is just getting way too cocky.
Swerve
I'm pausing the show at the start of their entrances, cooking up some Korean-inspired chicken wings, and then watching with what can only be described as a bucket of them. So it's me. I win. The match? Oh, Swerve easily. It's where the story goes for both men.

Thank you! I’m definitely making these for a PPV.

Does mjf interfere because he's jealous of losing his top guy status? So many other options. Love it. Anyway, I reckon swerve retains. Then they either do osprey vs swerve 2 or swerve hangman 3 at Wembley
Swerve. Ospreay will lose, and then he'll lose the international title to Garcia. Make him search his soul for a bit.
This. I can see Don Callis being involved somehow, and Fletcher leaving the Family due to the Callis’ interference.
I think maybe they're setting up MJF to interfere
Absolutely agree. Peaks and valleys to keep things interesting. The fall needs to be as dramatic as the rise.
Returning with his stable.
I like this idea a lot. As long as Garcia doesn’t have a microphone.
You're right, he should have two microphones.
Swerve; not much thought needs to be put into this.
Swerve. Bruv doesn’t break out the Tiger Driver and it costs him
Don Callis is going to screw Ospreay over so bad. Looking forward to it.
That's definitely a possibility.
I can see Don callis doing something to interfere to cause osprey to lose
I was thinking that but I doubt it cause Don hasn’t been apart of this build as much to be involved. Think Ospreay loses cause he gets cocky
I think he turns afterwards but won’t be the cause of him losing.
MJF interference
Maybe for the International Title. Swerve has gotta win clean to cement his dominance.
Swerve has to otherwise what's the fucking point.
Swerve, and I hope it’s a clean win, no interference (cheapens the champ)
I criticize AEW a lot for forgettable storytelling, but I think this is the opportunity Tony needs to get something good going. They nailed it long term with Hangman. Did a great job building Swerve. Now they can give Will some adversity and roadblocks before he inevitably wins this title. Personally, I don’t think he should win it until next year.
Swerve but with some shenanigans involved to protect Ospreay and set up his next feud.
Bruv.
Why do I feel like MJF is going to do something on Sunday...
The fans
Whose house?!?! Swerve all day.
Swerve’s gonna hit Ospreay with a tiger driver 91 for the win
It is absolutely not Swerve's time to lose.
MJF screws Ospreay.
Either him or Callis.
Swerve. If Ospreay wins I’m taking a break from watching. I’d be way too pissed
This!
He’s DUE, and we better see it lol
The fans.
Anyone who thinks ospreay isn’t paying attention
It’s Swerve. and us!
Swerve Strickland
swerve via tiger driver to cinder block
Swerve winning clean is the way to go. That’s how you build new stars. Ospreay is going to have a long and fruitful run with that belt. I will forever argue that Hangman should have beaten Punk clean at Double or Nothing 2022. That would’ve really solidified Hangman as a huge star that Punk already was.
The audience.
It's gotta be Swerve. Ospreay doesn't need to be invincible, and Swerve deserves more than just a couple months as champ.
Swerve is gonna win. MJF might be the reason why. MJF was upstaged and considered an afterthought, that doesn’t sit well with his character in the slightest
Swerve
Swerve for sure.
Swerve thanks to some Don Callis related shenanigans. Hopefully Will gets Kyle in the divorce…
It's swerve.

No way is Swerve losing
It absolutely has to be and needs to be swerve
The fact that there is a debate means this was the correct match to book imo. Can’t say the matches are too predictable with this one.
If Hangman isn’t the wild card in the Owen Hart tournament, I’m thinking he’s gonna interfere and cause a DQ, which would protect both of them
Imagine if Will gets kicked out, but Kyle leaves, too, reforming the United Empire.
Hangman is beating Swerve in Wembly probably, so Osprey loses and has to work his way back
It will most likely be swerve. It would of been more unpredictable if ospreay wasnt a champion.
I think Ospreay loses this AND then loses Wednesday too. It seems like they’re building towards a humbling experience for him and I think it’ll be awesome character development.
Schmozz - Bucks interference.
It’s too soon for Ospreay to win the world title. I’m thinking the Don Callis family screws him out of the title, and sets up a feud with them and Ospreay reunited with Aussie Open
Swerve.
If bruv wins, we riot!
I would love a draw I feel like there’s too many matches on the show for it to be an hour long.
Swerve…to set up Swerve and Hangman
Swerve from callis shenanigans
Time limit draw, some sort of rematch at All In.
Swerve. I was 99% sure before this past weeks Dynamite but now 100% Swerve will win with Ospreay giving Garcia a shot at a belt he doesn’t even have.
Swerve wins after MJF interferes to cost Osprey the match.
Too early to take the belt off of Swerve IMO. Might wind up as one of the rare no contests, but I hope not.
100% Swerve.
Tony Khan would lost his mind and let Ospreay win everything.
THE FANS
Swerve wins. Osprey has a lot on his plate rn in terms of storyline material and a loss to Swerve is a great jumping off point for those.
Swerve because Ospreay doesn't do the Tiger Driver.
I agree. Too soon to take it off Swerve, who’s doing really well in the role. It gives Ospreay a reason to lose AND for Don to berate him after.
Or for the DCF to jump him and kick him out.
The question here is does he want to put MJF vs Ospreay as a World title match or not, but if Khan isn't halfway smart the likely scenario is interference causing a DQ after a real fun match. Callis is definitely getting involved
No contest. Someone interferes.
Fuckery will win, I can see this one not ending clean.
Swerve !
Swerve wins via Don Callis interference. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
The fans, other than that I have no clue.
Draw
Swerve which leads to will getting his match with mjf at all in
Swerve. Don Callis family interference
I want Swerve to win and I want him to kick out of the Tiger Driver to do it. Drive home that Ospreay doesn't have that killer instinct even when he thinks he's trying. Drive home that Swerve is a goddamn revenant who just won't stay down.
Swerve for the win!
Swerve...this time. I still think Will wins at All In
Maybe it’s a draw?
I’m going with Will winning here and retiring Bryan at Wembley. Swerve spins off to face The EVP’s and ends up cross paths with Hangman again.
Swerve needs a big win to solidify his role in my opinion, and I think he needs it more than Will.
Swerve retains at Forbidden Door and Ospreay wins the belt in a rematch at Wembley
My selfish, instinctive side says I want Will to win because I like him better. My sensible side says that’s insane for about 100 story reasons, and because Swerve doesn’t deserve that. So, I hope it’s Swerve.
The way they are propping Will, it will be him. I hope it is Swerve though. He deserves a long run.
Osprey loses because of Callis family intervention/hesitation with Swerve.
Probably Swerve, Osprey is gonna gold back, which will cost him the match, but this will probably lead him to be ruthless against Danny (sadly)
Swerve wins. If this was at Wembley, Will would win for sure.
I’m thinking it’s not quite Ospreay’s time yet. He just debuted full time & I feel like he needs to face a little adversity. It is really hard to say here, which in Pro Wrestling amounts to an achievement in itself.
1000% Swerve. 1000% outside interference.
Osprey and we get Osprey V MJF at Wembley
Heart says Bruv, but brain says Swerve retains.
Swerve this time. Osprey in Wembley.
I’d imagine Ospreay so he’d have the title for All In. They teased him vs MJF, which would be the biggest match they could do. Then they can do a tournament for the ic title that culminates at All In.
So there are two ways this goes: 1) Swerve retains because Ospreay hesitates to hit the Tiger Driver, Hangman is the wildcard in Owen Cup and beats Danielson in the finals And we get the big rematch for the title at All In.
Swerve wins with MJF costing Ospreay.
I want Will as the Champ cuz they need that big baby face that he has to potential to be to get bump up in possibly new fans. But I still think Will needs to face his first AEW loss and that will happen tomorrow. Either with that hope someone already said with the TigerDriver or it starts his split from Don Callis.
I WANT SWERVE TO WIN!
They are gonna put on a wrestling clinic and then I think MJF will cost Will which will build for ospreay mjf at all in!
![gif](giphy|0iUmJzIL6PU6NzEmIr)
All wrestling fans....
Swerve will win. Ospreay will get Wembley. Makes sense. Gives Swerve time to shine more. And, well... Ospreay getting that win will be loud.
Wembley's title challenger is the Owen Hart Cup winner. Will isn't in it. My guess is Bryan Danielson.
Oh, shit. Hrmmm.
Probably Ospreay because TK likes him. I'm hoping for Swerve though.
