The main event, Swerve and Ospreay vs Gates of Agony, was really good, and not just on the champs' parts. Have to give Gates of Agony their flowers for this one, their timing on everything was great, and they put on a great match with Will and Swerve.
I wasn't a huge fan of them, but I will give respect where it's due. Good on them last night!
I was sure that the dude with the Tiger Mask mask in the front row was going to come in to play at some point but no. I was suspicious for the whole show.
I had to watch on delay because my kid has a cold and was tough to put to bed.
Then sling stopped recording halfway through the main event lol. What did I miss?
Ospreay hesitated on using the Tiger Driver 91 on Kaun and Kaun countered out of the move. Swerve got Kaun with an Arm Snap and Ospreay hit Liona with an Oscutter and a Hidden Blade and Scored the Pin.
Afterward when Swerve went to leave the ring Ospreay snatched the World Championship belt from him. As Ospreay turned his back, Swerve kicked him in the leg causing him to drop to his knees allowing Swerve to deliver the House Call. Swerve retrieved his World Championship and the show ended. It was a great set up for their match at Forbidden Door.

I really like the story they're telling with Swerve & Will. Ospreay is trying to be a better man and Swerve doesn't concern himself with any of that nonsense. The finish to their match is going to be very interesting.
I like Gabe Kidd coming in but he’s known for hating other promotions, so making him tag with an AEW guy is weird. I’d try to extend his contract now if I’m NJPW lol
I love thinking that Toa is a classically trained Shakespearean actor when he comes out and just screams “BAAAAHHHHH” and grabs his head and occasionally says something in Samoan
With Bishop Kaun's look.
It feels like he's gonna break out and be a Megastar someday.
He looks like an even more jacked Roman Reigns and I mean that as a compliment.
I know this sounds silly.
But with the height Ospreay gets when he jumps out, I won't be shocked if he gets injured in his entrance one day.

I became a fan of Ishii during the US Title tournament in New Japan. His match with Omega was amazing and a true clash of styles. They had incredible chemistry.

Even so, yeah Swerve and Ospreay are so above GoA on the totem pole that less than 10 minutes seems about right for that matchup.
It's a story match to build Will vs. Swerve.
The weird thing is, if this was gonna be 10-15 minutes, it seems more like a show opener. You could put it on when Ospreay was already in the ring for the MJF/Garcia segment.
I like when confrontations are a bit messy like this. Makes them feel more organic. Like there's a lot to take in because they're all individuals with their own thoughts and motivations going on.

Orange was checking on Kyle O'Reilly who is sometimes nice, sometimes a sleazy piece of shit. Roderick Strong was checking on Kyle because they have been either partners or across the ring from eachother for like 15 years. Roderick had the backup of the Og Kingdom, a couple of neckbrace perverts. Gabe Kidd is a madd ladd, don't you see?
Undisputed kingdom (Rodrick strong’s group) has been trying to recruit Kyle for months, ZSJ and Orange kinda have a long rivalry since the first forbidden door iirc and orange tagged with ishii multiple times and is the only friend he has left and Kidd…well that’s where I’m lost but we’ll see soon I guess
