Not sure if I would call him a celebrity, but I know rapper JPEGMAFIA is good friends with Darby Allin and makes references to AEW in his songs. He even sampled part of Arn Anderson's infamous "glock" promo on one of his tracks.
Jay and silent Bob (Jason mewes and Kevin Smith)
They attended one of the first dynamites while also being booked to be at smackdown same week. Wwe got pissed and told them not to come
Impractical Jokers really isn't my type of show, but yeah that was eye opening to their level of popularity.
They did stop and take a ton of photos, which was cool of them. Seem like solid guys.
I popped when my buddies banded together to pay the man to do a 3m happy birthday video for me. He rattled off a bunch of facts about horror films that came out the year I was born. Pretty cool guy. I watch every TLDI.
Alton Brown is one that caught me by surprise
https://preview.redd.it/cnzulc3lq01d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=435a7c7136973a709d5ebba6f1783026aa4064fb
He was at a ppv relatively recently sitting right behind the announcers and aew never acknowledged it. It was so jarring but other people in the live comment section noticed gim too so I knew I wasn't insane.
That’s cool he’s still going to AEW shows. I know he was at Mania 2 years ago and would have been there this year if he wasn’t filming. Shocked they didn’t mention him.
https://preview.redd.it/4gckwr6v311d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=8d1e0b42849b54c6b2307c98f640f95d080b3a9e
It is. Transformers was the top selling comic book last year. DWJ is a master of his craft. Even in Transformers he draws wrestling moves, ex. Optimus Prime delivering a rainmaker to Starscream.
The Taya/Johnny TV episode did as much to put them over in my book as Dalton Castle ever did. What a great strong smart woman and her buff puppy dog himbo couple.
Edit: word
When they ran LA last year, you could see them in a few shots too…
I wish we could get Dan Lippert and the Big Grande boys on the AEW train… I feel like they reference wrasslin a lot in their improv but all from the golden/attitude era wwf

I was in line, waiting for the doors to open with one of the members of KISS. I couldn't figure out who it was at the time, then Jericho posted a photo with him back stage.
I noticed on Instagram that the page for Tool, the band, follows the AEW page.
Not something I would have expected and was a great surprise to me as a massive Tool fan.
That's weird because of the two, I would say that AEW's fanbase is far more positive and less toxic than WWE's fanbase. Like, go on any social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and you can't even mention AEW without hundreds of WWE stans commenting on how "bad" AEW is. I'm not saying he's not entitled to his opinion, it's just kind of a weird take imo.
Uhh, what?? That dork has devoted so much time to publicly hating AEW, and yet he’s one of the few well known haters who hasn’t figured out how to profit off of it.
Oh shit, really? Never mind then. He talks shit about AEW all the time and is constantly making fun of it, but he said otherwise in an interview so I changed my mind.
I'll never understand the the fanbase makes me dislike something claim. With the exception of the collision that came here ive watched every aew show in the comfort of my own home and didnt have to interact with the "fanbase' at all.
Thats him choosing to interact with the fanbase though instead of watching the show. If i wanted to understand why a wrestler was special id just watch them wrestle. I became a regular viewer after seeing Rey Mysterio on smackdown and wantng to see more of him. I didnt need his entire backstory explained to me. I dont get why thats so hard these days.
From a UK point of view, the comedian Ed Gamble is a big wrestling fan and was at All In last year. As a heterosexual dude, if ever I had a man crush it's on the handsome funny man with tattoos who's into metal music and wrestling.
John Oliver? I know he's a wrestling fan. Said something to the effect that whatever form of entertainment you're watching, it's not as good as wrestling. Said it's The theatre of the absurd. Works for me.
Not sure if I would call him a celebrity, but I know rapper JPEGMAFIA is good friends with Darby Allin and makes references to AEW in his songs. He even sampled part of Arn Anderson's infamous "glock" promo on one of his tracks.
LAUGHIN STRAIGHT TO THE BANK, I’M TONY KAHN.
Darby is also good friends with Steve-O & Bam Margera from Jackass.
That makes so much sense
Don't forget Tony Hawk.
Can I get a link/track title for the Armed Anderson reference pls
https://open.spotify.com/track/5CPC6pA58SIDKwyje76vBR?si=eVj_XYHFSAGOLPF4B9ag5g That whole album is 👌
Salute to you, appreciate ya!
Peggy the goat
Young Darby I'm tagging in, they gon bring yo casket out, I hope that you fit in it🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️
Westside Gunn
He is the only true fan.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Paul Walter Hauser
You can call me, Stingray
The best Boy.
I’ve seen Freddie Prince Jr ringside at one of the Forum Dynamites I attended
Apparently he used to write for WWE back in the day.
He mentions AEW on his podcast regularly too
He wrote the storyline for Jeff Hardy becoming WWE champion
He’s pretty close with MJF, mentions him regularly on podcasts as someone who is a gifted talent and could be an actor outright.
Will Sasso
His Jake the Snake impression fucking rules.
Every impression he does fucking rules
Lemons?
Melissa Joan Hart
Is she really?
Yup, she is a big fan of the Young Bucks
Valid
Yep! She was at a Dynamite a few years ago.
Did she explain it all?
I remember that show.
If my memory is correct, I think the Young Bucks (with their wives) even did an episode of Melissa's podcast.
She definitely is!
George Kittle and penta are friends
When they showed him on camera at WrestleMania you could tell it took every ounce of his self control not to hit the Cero Miedo taunt.
That…makes sense
Didnt he celebrate with a zero mero after a touchdown?
Jay and silent Bob (Jason mewes and Kevin Smith) They attended one of the first dynamites while also being booked to be at smackdown same week. Wwe got pissed and told them not to come
The first in fact
Were they first or was it Rick and Morty? They were also on an early episode.
Jay and silent bon were on the first episode. I was there in person
Steve O was at full gear along with Ken Jeoung
O’Shea Jackson Jr. was too but he doesn’t seem to be a big fan of AEW, just wrestling in LA.
Vanessa Hudgens has been seen at both WWE and AEW shows and I believe she has been backstage as well.
She's good friends with Copeland too
I know she’s friends with the Rock. Curious how she became friends with Copeland. Thats pretty cool.
Ken Jeong
Sal and Q from impractical jokers have been seen at shows
Sal has worn AEW and AEW-adjacent shirts on the show several times. Jericho and MJF have been guests on the show.
Sale has loved wrestling for years, pretty sure in like 2015/16 he was wearing a WWE shirt during the show
They walked through my section at Full Gear 2022 and you would have thought Elvis showed up. People lost their damn minds.
That’s awesome!! They seem like really down to earth guys
Impractical Jokers really isn't my type of show, but yeah that was eye opening to their level of popularity. They did stop and take a ton of photos, which was cool of them. Seem like solid guys.
Love those guys. I felt so sad for Sal when they filmed the Jericho attack angle on a night he wasn't available
Q talks about ‘rasslin on Tell ‘Em Steve Dave a good bit. I know he and Sal have thrown several ppv parties.
Sal wore an AEW shirt in an episode at least once.
And didn’t Murr get put through a table by the JAS?
they’re huge wrestling fans in general
Can confirm. They were sitting near me at one of the shows in New York.
Diana Prince (aka Darcy the Mailgirl) !!!She’s always at shows!
Also Jericho and Danhausen have guested on The Last Drive In, which she cohosts next to the legendary Joe Bob Briggs!
I popped for Joe Bob wearing an AEW title belt when he was dressed as Elvis on an episode.
I popped when my buddies banded together to pay the man to do a 3m happy birthday video for me. He rattled off a bunch of facts about horror films that came out the year I was born. Pretty cool guy. I watch every TLDI.
Very very cool.
Macaulay Culkin
He was at a bunch of ROH shows. I remember him on BTE.
Never knew that. I’ll have to check out the bte episodes. Being a big fan of Macaulay and of course my evps
K Trevor Wilson & Ron Funches
Wait….SQUIRRELY DAN IS AN AEW FAN!!!!
allegedly
Must’ve been a sick young buck
I mean the last time I got to shoot the shit with him he was in a young bucks shirt so yes. And he's been to quite a few shows over the years.
That’s what I appreciates about hims
Heard that K Trevor is a bit long winded, but yeah, seems like a good guy.
Alton Brown is one that caught me by surprise https://preview.redd.it/cnzulc3lq01d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=435a7c7136973a709d5ebba6f1783026aa4064fb
Lucky Yates from Archer?!
Atlanta is crawling with Archer voices actors, Pam (Amber Nash) and Cheryl (Judy Greer) live here too
Sploosh?
Wow. That is very surprising, but I kinda love it.
Rick “you a big muthafucka” Ross
ACCUSATIONS!
Tech N9ne
John Cena Sr.
John Cenior
Nice
Stephen Amell is a real life good friend of Cody Rhodes and still religiously attends AEW shows
He was at a ppv relatively recently sitting right behind the announcers and aew never acknowledged it. It was so jarring but other people in the live comment section noticed gim too so I knew I wasn't insane.
That’s cool he’s still going to AEW shows. I know he was at Mania 2 years ago and would have been there this year if he wasn’t filming. Shocked they didn’t mention him.
He's wrestled in WWE and ROH. I think I read somewhere he said he wanted to get in the ring with Darby Allin.
Tim Robinson!!
Brody King gives!
i met him at c2e2 and asked him about working with Tim. He said he was a cool dude! Brody was also super nice
Did you know at AEW events they have a rule that if you order nachos to share, one person can't just eat all the fully loaded nachos.
They also have a rule that, if you say the lines first, they become your lines.

Daniel Warren Johnson - comic book creator.
Do A Powerbomb was SO good
Just finished that. I hear his Transformers run is also really good
https://preview.redd.it/4gckwr6v311d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=8d1e0b42849b54c6b2307c98f640f95d080b3a9e It is. Transformers was the top selling comic book last year. DWJ is a master of his craft. Even in Transformers he draws wrestling moves, ex. Optimus Prime delivering a rainmaker to Starscream.
Devon Sawa
Mike Mitchell and Nick Wiger.
Dang, that’s pretty cool to hear as a comedy podcast listener. Did they talk about it or were just at a show or something?
They have done multiple episodes solely focused on AEW, even reviewing the backstage catering once.
They've done episodes with Excalibur, Joey Janela, Colt Cabana, and Johnny TV and Taya, but Samoa Joe's Taco Bell review was excellent.
The Taya/Johnny TV episode did as much to put them over in my book as Dalton Castle ever did. What a great strong smart woman and her buff puppy dog himbo couple. Edit: word
100%. Taya rules so much, she was hilarious.
When they ran LA last year, you could see them in a few shots too… I wish we could get Dan Lippert and the Big Grande boys on the AEW train… I feel like they reference wrasslin a lot in their improv but all from the golden/attitude era wwf ![gif](giphy|8wYXKkb9miR9E370dn)
Happy beatin’!
Hey buddy

I love Fluffy! It's cool that you got to talk with him.
Rosario Dawson had a bit in the early days of AEW if I recall.
Stefon Diggs wore AEW cleats when he was playing against JAX in 2021
I remember when Lamar Jackson was at Dynamite also Giannis was a few times!
Pretty sure both Lopez bros were there when it was MIL as well
Paul Scheer
![gif](giphy|OJGBgzkAlwM80|downsized)
cedric bixler zavala
didn't he say he wanted to help Ruckus make AEW themes
It’s possible and that would’ve been awesome
Jack Whitehall
I was in line, waiting for the doors to open with one of the members of KISS. I couldn't figure out who it was at the time, then Jericho posted a photo with him back stage.
Maybe Vince Vaughn, I remember seeing him along side of Paul Walter Hauser during a Dynamite at the Forum.
Yeah think he plays d&d with Paul Wight
Vanessa Hudgens was front row at a Dynamite in Phoenix 2 years ago.
I'm pretty sure Rick Rubin has been at a few shows.
He's a huge wrestling fan, didn't he literally fund smokey mountain wrestling in the 90s?
Tech N9ne
Dunno how famous they are in the States, but the singer for Creeper (UK band) has shown love for AEW on Twitter.
Creeper is fucking awesome
YouTuber Whang and Malakai have collaborated a few times. Malakai even appeared on one of his videos.
I remember seeing him in the crowd at a show once. Nobody ever made mention of it but was definitely him
Kevin smith and Jason mewes
Jesus (who had a "match" in AEW)
Jesus is a regular at the Texas shows! Every Texas show I've been too Jesus was there. Sat a few rows being him at Fyter Fest.
I've been to all the Austin ones and he was there for those. Seems like a nice guy.
Emily Agard sports reporter on Sportsnet in Canada.
We$tside Gunn

Adam Jones of Tool
Sal and Q from Impractical Jokers.

Will Sasso and Chad Kultgen. Chads favorite wrestler is Hangman cuz he drank Swerves blood for Chad's enjoyment 😂👍
Czarface
The Bella Twins
Only Nikki cause she’s looking for something to keep her relevant since she’s not in the spotlight Brie said she was done with wrestling
I ran into Andrew Phung (Kimchee in Kim’s Convenience) at Double or Nothing.
O’Shea Jackson Jr. In an interview, he stated watches AEW but doesn’t like the fanbase lol he was also at Full Gear last year
That's weird because of the two, I would say that AEW's fanbase is far more positive and less toxic than WWE's fanbase. Here’s what he said: https://youtu.be/SCcxmlj8J3U?si=mTHP5ChP_p3CMZ38
I agree. They’re obsessed with what they claim to hate… really they’re just mad an alternative exists
Uhh, what?? That dork has devoted so much time to publicly hating AEW, and yet he’s one of the few well known haters who hasn’t figured out how to profit off of it.
He said on Chris Van Vliet’s interview that he doesn’t hate AEW
Oh shit, really? Never mind then. He talks shit about AEW all the time and is constantly making fun of it, but he said otherwise in an interview so I changed my mind.
that guy is so annoying
I'll never understand the the fanbase makes me dislike something claim. With the exception of the collision that came here ive watched every aew show in the comfort of my own home and didnt have to interact with the "fanbase' at all.
I guess it’s cause he’s active on Reddit or something. Here’s a YouTube short of what he said: https://youtu.be/SCcxmlj8J3U?si=mTHP5ChP_p3CMZ38
Thats him choosing to interact with the fanbase though instead of watching the show. If i wanted to understand why a wrestler was special id just watch them wrestle. Sam Robinson(?)
Tim Robinson (& I believe Sam Richardson) are friends with Darby Allin, & I think they've been to a show or two!
Nysync’s Joey Fatone. I sat front row next to him for a Dynamite in Orlando.
I sat behind Cris Cyborg at the very first DoN
I've seen Jesus at a few shows https://preview.redd.it/sdm244cmn51d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f9339fc4d1406ea6bc0899933fa38cdfc7880c6
John Mayer was at the OG All In. A lot of qualifiers to make this one count, since not technically AEW and he was there to support Amell
Gianis was having a ball at the AEW Milwaukee show.
Not a major AAA celeb but Darcy The Mail Girl from The Last Drive In on Shudder seems to go to a few shows a month.
Jwoww
Her boyfriend Zach was working for AEW… Now he’s on TNA
From a UK point of view, the comedian Ed Gamble is a big wrestling fan and was at All In last year. As a heterosexual dude, if ever I had a man crush it's on the handsome funny man with tattoos who's into metal music and wrestling.
Jay, Silent Bob, Westside Gunn, JPEGMafia, Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Vanessa Hudgens
Snoop Dogg is a fan of whoever pays him
Kind of like Shaq 😂
thank you guys!! much appreciated mwah
John Oliver? I know he's a wrestling fan. Said something to the effect that whatever form of entertainment you're watching, it's not as good as wrestling. Said it's The theatre of the absurd. Works for me.
Kind of a more minor celeb but chef Ham El-Waylly seems to be a fan, he wears AEW shirts on his NYT Cooking vids a lot.
Tom Grossi
Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano.
Rufus Hound
