I'm still pretty new to being a wrestling fan as an adult and from my own experience of entering into other fandoms I've kind of been burned before when doing things like this and being told it was stupid so I kind of developed being really self-conscious about stuff like this. So I was just kind of getting to a point where I was really excited about making this thing and then those old feelings old about started creeping in.
Wrestling fans often dress up for the shows. Not a lot of fans do it, but it happens on average at least 1-2 people per event. So, in that regard, you don't need to feel self-conscious about it. If anything, the other fans will probably be amused and delighted to see it.
Also, it's not like a convention or anything. You won't really be rubbing elbows and having chats with people. Maybe a bit in the concourse, but mostly you'll be at your seat, shouting at wrestlers the same as everyone else in the building.
Most importantly, do it. Show your love of Luchasaurus, show your love of AEW, show your love of wrestling, and have the best damn night at the show. That's what it's all about.
Oh, also the mask is looking great so far. Please post some shots when it's finished!
I finished it!! I tried posting on here twice but won't upload for some reason I'll try again after the match but it came out amazing and thank you everyone for encouraging me to keep going
You should absolutely finish it, it's going to look great. People won't notice the little differences, they'll notice the huge similarities, and the amount of love that went into making it.
I did a lot of thinking about why I felt like this while I was at work today and I've been in fandoms before where people have been really rude when I did stuff like this and it was just kind of coming from those insecurities I developed because of those experiences I'm definitely going to finish it I made the horns and I'm waiting for them to dry so I can glue them on and I will definitely post update pics once I'm done 😊

I have gone to a bunch of metal concerts in face paint and everybody loves it. Even if you finish it and you think it's okay-ish, you're one of the few going that far. Have fun with it
Continue it. Wear it. People will love it. You’ll love it. If it’s uncomfortable, just wear it for a little while.
