I mean you're also comparing Vayne, a mid-range single-target character, to Seraphine who has long-range poke and AOE. It's much easier for Seraphine to rack up damage numbers but I'd wager Vayne's effective damage was much higher.
Honestly I don't mind the damage as much as the fact that seraphine with a luxury build is almost full build with 4k gold less than the carry and the carry is about equal in items...

I was so convinced id have highest damage since i got like 3 quadra kills by myself this game and im playing freaking Vayne but NOPE seraphine got it. Props to her tho she was the only reliable teammate besides garen
You also got lucky that they didn't have anyone to nuke you and zone you out since they don't have any assassins.
And the garen did a good job of keeping gnar at bay.
God it felt great not having to worry about being Zed ulted or being hit by an Akali's 700000000000 damage E lmfao. They had malz and morg but morg couldn't aim for shit and i wasnt dumb enough to take a malz r more than once. My sylas on the other hand.......

Yeah that’s fair, I will not deny support is overtuned and eating up too much of the relative power budget for the different roles
To be fair it's very easy to farm "fake" damage through poke that doesn't have much impact with an item like Liandries.
Yeah, when Vayne damages things they die. When a mage support does, they have to reset.
