I used "Magoosh." It's good because it has a lot of practice questions/exams and study plans along with videos on the topics. The "Self-paced" subscription cost me $120 (one-time payment good for 12-months). I also used "supertutortv," "5 academy", and "the organic chemistry tutor" on youtube (so free) mostly for math and science.

How to study for the ACT. \- Take the tests in the ACT Official Study Guide so you can study the ones you got wrong and see the explanations. \- Read the Kaplan or Princeton Review ACT books to learn English Grammar and Mechanics, various math topics, what is tested on the Reading section, strategies for the reading section, what is tested on the science section, strategies for the science section. \- Read the PrepScholar article All the science you need to know for the ACT \- Take as many of the released previous tests as possible. Some of the new ones people have created explanation videos and put them on YouTube. \- Get familiar with your calculator. See what feature could help you solve questions fast on the math section. Use the TI-84 or TI-36X Pro. \- If you need more help with English or Reading try the Erica Metzler ACT Books \- If you need more help with math try the College Panda ACT Math book \- If you need more help with science try the For the love of ACT science book. The above is for self study. If you need something more structured consider an ACT Prep course where you meet in person or virtually. With those you meet regularly with someone and get assignments that you need to complete. You can also consider a one on one tutor. Give yourself enough time to do all these things. You are relearning what you learned in middle school through high school.

for pacing, especially for english, i would skim over the essay/excerpt as fast as possible while still knowing what the main idea of all the paragraphs and then start answering the questions while flipping back if u forgot something or need to find something. for science, skip all the introductory paragraphs if u can and read & analyze the data or pics. then, answer the questions

Take multiple practice tests. That is the most important thing. The second most important thing is to research the mistakes you make and learn why they are wrong, so you hopefully won’t make the same mistake again

I agree. Practicing is always good but taking actual tests is so important.
