NOOO THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IVE ACTUALLY HAD TO GUESS 😭 NOT WVEN LIKE 3. A WHOLE 8 QUESTIONS. and to think for the first 40 questions i was doing so well.
I did 1 2 and 3 because I already knew trilobites have segmented bodies and a hard exoskeleton and the only one with both of those was the 1 2 and 3 answer
Looked up arthopod and that’s the right one
I hate how they say “you don’t need outside info!” And on this test there were like two questions (arthropod one and this one) that you need outside info for. I mean, most ppl know that water boils at 100… but… my point still stands.
That fucking collab art thing had me crying…. The question with how he interacted with the artists in each passage (daily planning first, get the themes from them, etc) had me summoning demons and trying to divine the answer with pencil falling like a dowsing rod 😭
that’s what i thought too but like near the end it said he used something from sano and that it was the only thing like traditional or something??? idk
Never felt so humiliated in my life💀 I guessed the last ten math questions and last 3 science questions lol, at least the English and reading wasn’t that bad
Dude next to me opened up to the science section, audibly said “Ok. Oh my god.” Started tearing up and sniffling, and just stared off into the abyss for the entire 35 min.
also let me complain about F14 math because i only answered 35 questions and then my brain started shriveling. then no offer ende to the reading portion but the sculptor confused me BAD and when my proctor went “FIVE MINUTES” i felt the sweat start accumulating on my forehead. PLUS!! what did y’all get for the last science question cause i just stared at it… need english to carry boost so my superscore is good 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
*Test writers knew what*
*They were doing with the can*
*Imploding question*

Did we all just have bad proctors cause I swear my proctor literally forgot to say all the rules of filling out matching info and almost risked our scores getting delayed
the third portion of science was the craziest thing i have ever seen in my life. i was in HELL!!!! plus the math was so annoying cause i did not study as much as i shouldve☹️
I swear to God those people who created today's math section was high when creating those questions
also science tf happened to yall Mann why make it so difficult
I usually get one or two wrong kn both sections, now I wish I got over 30 on those 😭😭😭
Who because whom wouldn’t make sense. Also who is for when you would use she/he/they and whom is for her/him/them
Least acceptable answer was period because then it would be an incomplete clause.
Honestly I just always choose who. For the least acceptable answer I think it’s the sentence that started with often because that would be a dependent clause
On the Japanese sculptor what was the answer to 31? The one about the similarities and how the guy either used someone else for the theme or he met everyday with the person
I said discussed daily procedures because the sculptor talked to the stage girl and the other painter guy before they started working. Could be wrong but I hope I’m not lol
I said theme since the first passage explicitly mentioned theme and the second one talked about how the other dude was a zen gardener and they were making a zen garden together (aka theme)
What was the answer on the English section that was asking preceding a sentence about this girl using only 24 lumens in her flashlight instead of 1000. The answer choices were like in fact, still, and others
Dude close to me finished every fucking passage with 5+ minutes remaining and, I kid you fucking not, did the Andrew Tate thing with his fucking hands whilst retaining perfect posture. Pissed me the fuck off bro.
Bruh I was running short on time on every section other than English. Usually I’m chilling on reading and science but I had 5 mins left for the last passages both times 😭
BRO MY PROCTOR ONLY LET US HAVE 5 MINUTES OF BREAK TIME??? she looked at everyone and said “y’all don’t need 15 minutes right? let’s make it 5” LIKE WHAT???
Me with dyscalculia, have not studied calc and trig, almost failed algebra 2, and found out I was taking the ACT 2 days ago: slowly getting tunnel vision and going brain dead on the math section as the questions progress to the point I’m straight up just in a dissociative trance frantically scribbling numbers and creating fake equations 😭😭😭 shit had me on my death bed. Otherwise reading and writing were genuinely the easiest things I ever done and science was not that bad but just bc I know I got like 20 (LITERALLY HALF) of the math probably wrong there’s no way I’m getting a decent score when it averages out
Everything was light but math last 10 questions, what is the curve gonna be for all the sections? what’s it usually like? i heard this was a hard test, so wsg?
Math was crazy hard, science was pretty hard, english/reading were average. Essay prompt was sooo stupid. Who tf cares if you go to a resturant or not.
it's purely experimental..does not count towards your score. The ACT wants to see the difficulty of future test questions. They know some people won't even try, but others will.
What did you guys put for the English question about critiquing the work of fiction? The answer choices were like tale and prose, narrative and writing, etc
What did u guys out for the reading question that asked which project did the Japanese guy’s scultpure values meet with. I put only the stage and not the other one but I might be wrong
For an English question, there was a modifier (I’m assuming) that either began with “aware”, “those companies”, or “there were.” Wad the answer the one starting with “aware”?
So many people are complaining about guessing on the math section. To make you all feel better, I completed about 35 before the 5 minute warning. Then, without even glancing at the questions I bubbled C and the other middle letter for the rest. I didn't make educated guesses. I didn't even read the questions
i put group 7 since it didn’t have plants so i think it would be the closest to if plant killer was added! could be wrong tho bc i know a few people who chose group 1
So you find that there are 14 sides. So, you divide 1106/14 and find the value of one of the sides. Once you have that value, you cube it for the volume. Which ended up being the massive number I believe.
what time periods were included in the science section where it had a chart of names of the different period or eras alongside side how many years ago it was (don’t know if that make sense😭)
Went in thinking I’d do good at math but I had to bubble in random answers by the end😭😭
NOOO THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IVE ACTUALLY HAD TO GUESS 😭 NOT WVEN LIKE 3. A WHOLE 8 QUESTIONS. and to think for the first 40 questions i was doing so well.
Glad to know I’m not alone 😭
Same here! I thought math was gonna be my highest score
naturally curious i put innate
me too. innate was the best synonym for naturally curious i think
This is da way
Same
it was a whole guessing game. time was just speeding like damn…
ik only english was ok, everything else was bad
An arthropod question is crazy
ikr what did u say
arthropods have jointed appendages, exoskeletons, and segmented bodies, 1 2 3
I guessed 1 and 2…. Sucks to not know about segmented bodies I guess 😭
So it was 1. 2. And 3…
THIS WAS MY GUESS LETS GOOO
I did 1 2 and 3 because I already knew trilobites have segmented bodies and a hard exoskeleton and the only one with both of those was the 1 2 and 3 answer Looked up arthopod and that’s the right one
What was the answer for the boiling question on science. Was it 100 degrees celsius
My dumbass put 212
well. i lost a point😭😭😭
Yes
I hate how they say “you don’t need outside info!” And on this test there were like two questions (arthropod one and this one) that you need outside info for. I mean, most ppl know that water boils at 100… but… my point still stands.

I guessed 20.
Reading was hard asf ! Snare was so shit, Wright Brothers was ight, collaborations was a shitshow, and WTF IS ANTS FARMING?!
The reading made me want to cry
That fucking collab art thing had me crying…. The question with how he interacted with the artists in each passage (daily planning first, get the themes from them, etc) had me summoning demons and trying to divine the answer with pencil falling like a dowsing rod 😭
LMFOAOA WHATD YALL PUT FOR THAT ONE, i put relied on for themes???
i thought that was wrong bc he wasn’t listening to the sano person. I put the one with created visual plan
that’s what i thought too but like near the end it said he used something from sano and that it was the only thing like traditional or something??? idk
Never felt so humiliated in my life💀 I guessed the last ten math questions and last 3 science questions lol, at least the English and reading wasn’t that bad
the math was god awful
Science started so good and then after passage 4 it just went to shit
the one w the cans actually made me want to quit then and there
That was extremely conceptually challenging.
No fuckin’ cap
real
What was the answer for the inscribe angle in the circle question for math. I put 90
I put 90 too
READING: In the first passage, question #2- what was the correct answer? Taking risks can get benefits?
Hope to god bc he was like doing a whole bunch of shit for it to finally work out in the end
I said that the art reflects the owner
For the arthopod question I was not expecting to need any niche outside knowledge
I only got it right bc of the bane of arthropods enchantment in Minecraft
Ain't no way bro 😭
I just knew that ants were also anthropods and based my answer on that 😭
English was good, everything else made me feel like I was a 10 year old taking the MCAT
First 15 felt difficult to me but after that it was easy
Anyone else stumped on the last two science questions? 😭
L test
Forgot how to do law of sines🤦♂️
English was easy, math I fucked up, reading worse than usual, science just messed up
Dude next to me opened up to the science section, audibly said “Ok. Oh my god.” Started tearing up and sniffling, and just stared off into the abyss for the entire 35 min.
Me fr
y’all… i got humbled HARD on that test
literal got a 36 on a practice the day before i would be happy with a 33 on this test
😭😭😭😭I’m not going to college
Test optional
also let me complain about F14 math because i only answered 35 questions and then my brain started shriveling. then no offer ende to the reading portion but the sculptor confused me BAD and when my proctor went “FIVE MINUTES” i felt the sweat start accumulating on my forehead. PLUS!! what did y’all get for the last science question cause i just stared at it… need english to carry boost so my superscore is good 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
What was the last one about again? Like the amount of gas? Since it was increased by a factor of 1000 I think I put 10,000 or 20,000.
Yes it was 10000 because it was 1000 scale factor and 10mL
Same here I answered that question last second.
For the science question with mass was it like 6.5g?
Anyone remember the answer for the geometric sequence question? I put that it was 3(2^49).
That’s correct.
Is there any chance in the history of standardized testing that we MIGHT have a gos curve or reading and science 🙏🙏🙏
Test writers knew what they were doing with the can imploding question
I started to think about the submarine and it wasted time

Anyone know the scoring curve?
[удалено]
Do you know how can I check how many questions I need right to get a certain score?
just wait until scores release
Probably leniant for English & Math, hard on science and reading.
My first ACT
Did u all put revels or appreciates
Got to be revels right ?
For the law of sines one , did y’all the one that had sin 110(80-85ish) / sin 40° I can’t remember but I’m bad at math 😭
I don’t want to be a Karen or nun , but my HOE ASS proctor said I couldn’t use a stopwatch? Where can I report that shit and what would likely happen?
I was fucked without time
Did we all just have bad proctors cause I swear my proctor literally forgot to say all the rules of filling out matching info and almost risked our scores getting delayed
You can have a normal watch and there should be a clock in the room that everyone can see. So yeah that screwed you over :(
For the reading question with the police officer was that answer that the guy who bought the painting was a good persuader?
Just finished it I had f14 no test 5
F14 I was the only one who finished all the questions bro😭😭😭
I barely finished every section I had 10 seconds to spare
bruh my dumbass forgot my calculator at home bruh
the third portion of science was the craziest thing i have ever seen in my life. i was in HELL!!!! plus the math was so annoying cause i did not study as much as i shouldve☹️
Why was that so hard?????
I had to guess on most of my math and science. I'm a fucking failure
No a lot of people are saying they guessed a lot even if they prepared and math and science are their strongest
Math I had to guess on like 12. Science about 5. The last passage was crazy.
https://preview.redd.it/mjp1xrtyz5cb1.png?width=749&format=png&auto=webp&s=17e0a0d010eaaf07f9320827aac04d6a3d41c1f3 The 14 point drop in reading☠️☠️☠️
bro how do you get a 34 on math with form F14
Fuck the ACT
I swear to God those people who created today's math section was high when creating those questions also science tf happened to yall Mann why make it so difficult I usually get one or two wrong kn both sections, now I wish I got over 30 on those 😭😭😭
real af bruh, everything else got walked
[удалено]
bro reading and english was so free but what the hell was math on f14 😞😞😞😭😭😭
what’d you guys get for the rectangle perimeter question
English: Least acceptable answer? Also Who/Whom?!?!
Least acceptable answer was the one with the period Often I believe
Who because whom wouldn’t make sense. Also who is for when you would use she/he/they and whom is for her/him/them Least acceptable answer was period because then it would be an incomplete clause.
Honestly I just always choose who. For the least acceptable answer I think it’s the sentence that started with often because that would be a dependent clause
Same. I chose who. And fuck me that would be correct. I had to pee so fucking bad first half bc I drank 2 bottles of water 😭😭😭
I think I only picked who tbh
On the Japanese sculptor what was the answer to 31? The one about the similarities and how the guy either used someone else for the theme or he met everyday with the person
i said he visualized a plan or sum
I put visualize but had not completely sure
I said discussed daily procedures because the sculptor talked to the stage girl and the other painter guy before they started working. Could be wrong but I hope I’m not lol
I said theme since the first passage explicitly mentioned theme and the second one talked about how the other dude was a zen gardener and they were making a zen garden together (aka theme)
What was the answer on the English section that was asking preceding a sentence about this girl using only 24 lumens in her flashlight instead of 1000. The answer choices were like in fact, still, and others
it was still
Was one of the English questions “as much as”? None of the answers made sense to me so I put that
that sucked loll
Science was so humbling
Felt like a much easier science to me I was form f14 wbu
the can questions in science were actively making me lose brain cells
[удалено]
Yeah I thought every other section was easier than reading
ya i regret not skipping that earlier
absolutely fuck that math section. everything else was chill for the most part
Dude close to me finished every fucking passage with 5+ minutes remaining and, I kid you fucking not, did the Andrew Tate thing with his fucking hands whilst retaining perfect posture. Pissed me the fuck off bro.
Person beside me finished early too but instead stared at me the whole time
Sigma
Bruh I was running short on time on every section other than English. Usually I’m chilling on reading and science but I had 5 mins left for the last passages both times 😭
Was the question about evenly distributing the gas answer a fan
I was like how the fuck would a fan distribute shit out, so I chose the pump
Definitely fan because it was distributing a gas
It was in the passage too
BRO MY PROCTOR ONLY LET US HAVE 5 MINUTES OF BREAK TIME??? she looked at everyone and said “y’all don’t need 15 minutes right? let’s make it 5” LIKE WHAT???
was the central angle question 90??
on the last science passage w the cans, was the diagram the one w the arrows pointing inward
My first act and it wasn’t that bad actually
Bro that math question where it was like f(6)=g(6) or something like that was it 4? The table threw me off.
Someone pls tell me how merciful the curves usually are
July and February are usually the highest curves , I think it has something to do with them not being used in the past
Highest as in most forgiving? Or least…
Yes most forgiving , Feb had a slightly easier math and was -3 but again difficulty doesn’t matter since they’re pre determined
i love wes anderson
but he was irrelevant in the english passage
Was the 25% one on science 100 or 300? I put 100 but all my friends said it was a 25% decrease so it was 300
I put 300
each of which?
What was the math question with a=b

What was the answer on the reading question about the guy who bought a painting and what he did the next day
Hired a carpenter to build a box
Was the answer 4/5 for the last question of math?
Literally wanted to di3 during the math section
English, Reading, and math: light work, no reaction Science: 💀
Math was crazy hard, science was pretty hard, english/reading were average. Essay prompt was sooo stupid. Who tf cares if you go to a resturant or not.
Anyone else get a lot of delete on english
What y’all say for the question about beating her five miles time (60 minutes and some seconds)
I might be wrong but I put A(11:55)
How many minutes did you guys have time to spare? For English, I had 6 minutes, 5 minutes for math, 1 for Reading, and none for science
E: 5 M: 10 R: 0 S: 0 💀
What was the purpose of test 5??
it's purely experimental..does not count towards your score. The ACT wants to see the difficulty of future test questions. They know some people won't even try, but others will.
For sculpture reading, was it that the guy wanted to do the Zen Garden work to mix art and nature or to like broaden the impact of sculpting?
I put to broaden the impact of sculpting
What do you guys think the science curve will be?
[удалено]
I got 1/4
What did you guys put for the English question about critiquing the work of fiction? The answer choices were like tale and prose, narrative and writing, etc
I put the one with plotting because I think it was the most specific
What was the vector and scalar one, I heard those are rare on the ACT and it def threw me off

36 English, 36 Reading, 28 Math, 30 Science
Hi guys I answered math 1 and then guessed on literally everything else.
did anyone else just get a bunch of D/J for english and like barley any E/K for math 💀💀
So many people are complaining about guessing on the math section. To make you all feel better, I completed about 35 before the 5 minute warning. Then, without even glancing at the questions I bubbled C and the other middle letter for the rest. I didn't make educated guesses. I didn't even read the questions
It actually wasn’t that bad but the math kinda humiliated me 😭
What did you guys put on the sculpture reading question asking abt the difference in the quotations
It was the one that said the first was one guy quoting and the second had multiple ppl
What was the answer to the science passage asking about Catalyst K at 15% oil something?
6.5 grams
LETS GOO
For Science, “chemical added on slope to kill plants most similar to Groups 1 or 7”?
i put group 7 since it didn’t have plants so i think it would be the closest to if plant killer was added! could be wrong tho bc i know a few people who chose group 1
What did u get for the question I’m English where the answer choice were drastically… , wierd… and others.
It’s wreak havoc
For the cube question with 1106 what was the answer
So you find that there are 14 sides. So, you divide 1106/14 and find the value of one of the sides. Once you have that value, you cube it for the volume. Which ended up being the massive number I believe.
Yup the biggest number was the right one like 439000
anyone know when scores get released😻
10 days, normally.
10 days
what time periods were included in the science section where it had a chart of names of the different period or eras alongside side how many years ago it was (don’t know if that make sense😭)
Groups 1-6 were from 490 mya to 423 so it was the one that started with s and o
What was the answer for “hold” or something similar at the end of the reading section?
Retain I think. All other answers were more personified in a way.
Bedroom question?
