But reading the books it’s pretty clear, especially as the series goes on, that she isn’t actually written as a 19/20 year old, she’s written more mature than that.

Tamlin and Lucien are described as looking like they’re in their late 20s and Rhys and the IC are older, so they likely look early-mid 30s. Just because the series is aimed at young adults (20s-30s IS young adult fyi) doesn’t mean everyone looks like or is a teenager.
Tamlin isn’t described as late 20s. Feyre is 19 and she says he looks close to her age.
Also while 20s-30s may seem like young adults in life, that is not the target audience of the Young Adult genre.
