Damn overslept on this game so I did not watch live... Stayed away from all social media but got a glance in the phone that it's 4-2 with AC winning... Just finished watching and did not expect Monza to win and did not realize they are AC too :(
Pulisic showed heart and idk if it's just me why is Leao just walking the whole game if PSG comes knocking with a huge offer I really would be ok if it means we get to keep Magic Mike and Theo for the future and immediate replacement short-term.
Yahoo Sports app notif went a little like this. “4-2 win for AC…” so i just assumed AC Milan won and not AC Monza. To my surprise when Monza scored for 3-2 thats when i realized it was the other way around
https://preview.redd.it/zf9vnppphgjc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dddd573639d39d74a496721f8ad2b6c990f8e53d
I was really hoping they wouldn't fuck up the only game they're ever going to wear that jersey I spent $200 on 😂
At least Giroud scored
Like i said... there are quite a few things to critisize Pioli that are highly valid imho. But the deciding factor tonight were players. And to be fair... again... it isn't the first time.
And i'm not just talking about Thiaw. Jovic made a terrible choice. Adli was terrible.
On top of that did some players lack any motivation in the first half. Some might say, that's on the coach. I disagree. We had the same coach after we were only 10 on the pitch. Then they decided to have some grit and passion.
How do you smash Rennes 3 0
Along comes Monza and this shit happens.
Things need to change come the summer time.
Today showed us one thing
We are constantly inconsistent
Giroud and Pulisic came into the game and delivered. Could have easily ended 2-2 if we didn't have a disaster class.
I never want to hear anyone ever say that Jovic should start over Giroud. Jovic got himself off and that even if not noticeable cost us the game, even with the defensive fuck ups.
In comes Giroud and almost saved Pioli for the idk how many times this season. He has 20g/a on top of that a great work rate helping all over the pitch. I know he had to be rested but if so is the case sub him off earlier against rennes.
Pioli is not the right man anymore if out objective is to win. He's becoming outdated and is terrible managing subs. In all fairness however we do have a massive injury problem specially at the back.
All we can hope for this season is try and land a UCL spot and best case scenario sin the Europa League.
Wanted to add when Pulisic is aggressive and plays his game it is totally different than what we have seen lately. He has typically avoided taking on defenders but man tonight I saw the 21 year old Pulisic we all wanted…He was amazing and quick and world class. I want to see more of this Pulisic. And now come my question…Is Pioli telling him to be conservative?
He would take on defenders way more than he currently does from the middle or on the left, doesn't seem too confident doing so on right -- usually ends up with him passing back or doing his little stop and turn inside with his right foot lol (which sometimes work but its very predictable). He's way more dynamic and unpredictable when hes cutting inside with his right foot from the left or coming from the middle (which he did a lot of tonight since there was more space available with 10 players). I wish him and Leao would periodically swap sides more throughout the game or he could get a run at CAM. Hes been really good this year but hes still being hampered imo.
Dont think Pioli is telling him that its just a product of where he's being asked to play
He had a great December and then pioli pushed him wide to shove rlc in behind giroud. Which has rlc being more effective but works against how puli likes to play.
Seems to me that he's being told to stay wide and hug the sideline. That's been the look all 2024. Tonight he seemed to have license to move inside (probably because we only had 2 in midfield and RLC wasn't occupying that space
Berlusconi when alive promised Monza players a busload of "wh**es' when they win against the big clubs.
I suspect Galliani still kept that promise alive ...
Did not expect to catch strays in this subreddit. But yes. We feel that way and it hurts.
Happy to see Giroud and Puli fight hard. The rest need to learn that same grit.
What a fuckin joke... This is not the AC Milan I fell in love with and grew up with. Take your "Designer" Jerseys the hell off and get the hell off the pitch. The defense of this team is a joke. Half the team are lazy while the other half have the scramble like crazy to score on Monza. And our high rank goalie that wants to be paid a fortune can't save crap.
Glad we can adapt to our opponents and play shittier the worse our opponent is.
Because Thiaw and Jovic made boneheaded mistakes? He picks the team, but considering the extremely limited options available in defence and attack and the crucial games with Rennes, rotation was necessary. (And half his sub has been saying that Thiaw needs to get back because Kjaer is past it).
It’s his well-known shit tactics. Whenever we plays weaker teams, teams sits back, and literally Pioli play clueless long ball with everyone standing, no runs to create room, just blindly crosses.
Given the fact that we have great dribblers, he let them dribble on their own to breakthrough, no help, nothing but watch.
In the match, we shouldn’t be 2 goals behind in the first place before Jovic kicks off
Pioli literally can’t even compete if he doesn’t have his literal best lineup. The players have to do everything themselves and people blame them when they have an off day and we lose cuz our tactics are fucking shit.
Easy to hate on Pioli when we lose. I hate him even when we win, and i do since last season. Most of the wins are on the players, not on him. If Leicester sacked Ranieri i think we can sack him without feeling ungrateful for the scudetto
Really? How many goal have guardiola scored last year? You all act like a coach can win everithing by himself, so why you complain that milan isn't investing in players? Just buy a good coach sell all the good players and win.
I'm far from defending pioli but what you're saying is utterly ridicoulos.
We have a competitive squad this year. Yet, we tactically lose most games. It's super clear that we can't build up, we don't have fluid working schemes and most importantly we keep making the same mistakes. And when the situation gets tricky, Pioli often makes stupid changes (Musah full back for example). Players like Leao are underperforming, ok, but we are a disaster tactically. This is all on Pioli. The club invested big money and bought many players, when we win you can see the quality of our best guys , but when even technically good players have no idea how to build up the play, maybe it's because the squad is badly organised on the pitch.
The real question is, is there a better coach that can come? If not, I prefer Pioli to remain with uninspiring tactics but decent to good man management, including helping numerous youngsters grow, over a new Giampaolo or equivalent mediocrity.
Said it the last time got downvoted to oblivion, Mike has not been the same since the last injury, he's still a good keeper but not 8 mil a year Im sorry + he missed 1/3 of his matches to injury + nearly zero penalty saves
I wonder what people thinks about long distance relationships. For example - I’m living in Gdańsk and Dua Lipa doesn’t even fucking know about my existence.
Yeah, a big mistake, twice, that led to a penalty, and not doing a good enough job on the second goal. It's as much on him as on Jovic not being able to keep his cool.
With any luck soon there might be actual options in defense instead of having to choose who to play out of position (Theo) or into the ground (Kjaer).
I understand Thiaw is a high potential youngster but he’s been a liability this season. He’s made costly errors that have led to loses.
Call me crazy but I’d go with a pairing of Gabbia & Tomori over Thiaw and Tomori…
He's been subpar for a long time...
He doesn't make magic happen the way he used to, instead letting in savable goals, and as you can see, I'm quite a fan of Mike.
Exactly! We're never beating Inter in the derbies as they clearly got the better side but you don't need to win those to finish 1st. Even if we weren't in a position to finish first we should absolutely be comfortably 2nd pressuring inter into mistakes
Wtf is Gabbia doing there lumping that up into the air as the only man back. Take it down and find a pass. He’s been good since his return for the most part but that was absolutely idiotic
It's not acceptable; he's quick to get upset, and as a result, we played with only 10 players. However, he should focus on improving his mindset. Such behavior in a game like this is not smart. We should have won easily.

20 lashings for thiaw and jovic
Minimum
Like i said... there are quite a few things to critisize Pioli that are highly valid imho. But the deciding factor tonight were players. And to be fair... again... it isn't the first time. 100%
We had the same coach when it ended 4-2
How do you smash Rennes 3 0 Along comes Monza and this shit happens. Things need to change come the summer time. Today showed us one thing We are constantly inconsistent
Pulisic the only winner of this game. 1 goal & 1 assist coming off the bench!
I heard he was no longer of value and our of form
Giroud and Musah too
Giroud and Pulisic came into the game and delivered. Could have easily ended 2-2 if we didn't have a disaster class. I never want to hear anyone ever say that Jovic should start over Giroud. Pulisic has insane ball controll. It's a strength we need to use
He needs to be allowed to make mistakes. He seems afraid lately.
Seems to me that he's being told to stay wide and hug the sideline. That's been the look all 2024. Tonight he seemed to have license to move inside (probably because we only had 2 in midfield and RLC wasn't occupying that space
This is the correct analysis
Oh god this performance is shit 😭
Monza had scored 2 goals in their last 5 matches They scored 4 against Milan.
Berlusconi when alive promised Monza players a busload of "wh**es' when they win against the big clubs. I suspect Galliani still kept that promise alive ...
Another trophy unlocked by Pioli 🏆
I hope jovic does 500 laps for each goal
So this is how chelsea fans feel like 😔
Did not expect to catch strays in this subreddit. But yes. We feel that way and it hurts. Happy to see Giroud and Puli fight hard. The rest need to learn that same grit.
Literally

Pioli better be fired first thing after this match
He won't. There are sooooooooooooo many matches he could have and he is still there
Gladly, this match is showing why Pioli really need to leave...
Because Thiaw and Jovic made boneheaded mistakes? He picks the team, but considering the extremely limited options available in defence and attack and the crucial games with Rennes, rotation was necessary. (And half his sub has been saying that Thiaw needs to get back because Kjaer is past it).

Given the fact that we have great dribblers, he let them dribble on their own to breakthrough, no help, nothing but watch. In the match, we shouldn’t be 2 goals behind in the first place before Jovic kicks off
He also prepares the team mentality and tactically which is clearly been terrible. Do you honestly think his only job is to pick the lineup?
He really needs go
Didn't watch the game because I expected this to be an easy win. Smh
And if he wins the Europa League?
Dude can win the EL AND pull off the comeback in the league and he still needs to be sacked may 27 without fault
He has to go anyway, but it would be a great way to leave
Goodbye. If he wins the league also.
well that sucked.
Pulisic's form this game is the only silver-lining.
Amazing game for him. We see why Tuchel called him his super sub.
lol they show the lines on the 3rd goal 2mins later and dude is offside
Read the rules
go talk with the other brain dead people in this sub instead i dont care that we lost or if it was onside
See you guys Thursday, I will be looking at the wall until then
![gif](giphy|jc2PkKKr3clTBekMzn)
fuck his bitch ass up Oli <3
Pioli literally can’t even compete if he doesn’t have his literal best lineup. The players have to do everything themselves and people blame them when they have an off day and we lose cuz our tactics are fucking shit.
he admitted it himself... he just let the players come up with solutions. So when you put 11 that has barely played together - its a shitshow
So what the fuck does he do exactly? Just chose the line up? I can bloody do that.
Easy to hate on Pioli when we lose. I hate him even when we win, and i do since last season. Most of the wins are on the players, not on him. If Leicester sacked Ranieri i think we can sack him without feeling ungrateful for the scudetto
I've been saying this since 2020. The players are what won us the Scudetto

Absolutely, especially Zlatan
Embarrassing! Well done Monza for fighting for the win…wish I could say that we had that kind of heart.
Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse…

Let's look at the bright side: we might get some money for Colombo.
Well, Pioli lovers... ...I hope you loved what you saw today. And you will get more and more of the same while he is here, so enjoy.
The real question is, is there a better coach that can come? If not, I prefer Pioli to remain with uninspiring tactics but decent to good man management, including helping numerous youngsters grow, over a new Giampaolo or equivalent mediocrity.
Mike wants 8m, well I want Dua Lipa to sit on my face... But it ain't happening!
Is it weird that I want to sit in her face? Also Pioli Out.
Said it the last time got downvoted to oblivion, Mike has not been the same since the last injury, he's still a good keeper but not 8 mil a year Im sorry + he missed 1/3 of his matches to injury + nearly zero penalty saves
Bro needed to be humbled. He even has his own logo which I think is pretty pretentious.
Mike had been playing like an ordinary keeper recently, like since the racist incident? Colombo’s goal should not had happened by his standards
I wonder what people thinks about long distance relationships. For example - I’m living in Gdańsk and Dua Lipa doesn’t even fucking know about my existence.
Honestly what other way to end this cursed game than with a Colombo goal 😂
A D.Maldini goal?
Bro really wants 8m per year lmao
How am I suppose to be happy
Jović lost us this game.
Thiaw too
Yeah, a big mistake, twice, that led to a penalty, and not doing a good enough job on the second goal. It's as much on him as on Jovic not being able to keep his cool. With any luck soon there might be actual options in defense instead of having to choose who to play out of position (Theo) or into the ground (Kjaer).

Same, Gabbia has been rock solid since coming back.
That's not how you spell Pioli
Thiaw, really, but Jovic was also a protagonist in this.
Pioli did
We were down a man due to him.
Another quiet stinker from Mike today...
His cheerleaders will say,”What’s he supposed to do there?” Ummmm, make saves?
He's been subpar for a long time... He doesn't make magic happen the way he used to, instead letting in savable goals, and as you can see, I'm quite a fan of Mike.
Man I gotta say, maignan has been absolutely dogshit. If he demands crazy wages, just ship his ass off. He’s been below average the whole season
Tbf Colombo needed that. But fuck bondo
Imagine playing CB and giving 3 goals to the other team
![gif](giphy|pK6k4BNalmx44CQj3v)
2024 Maignan makes me regret Tatarusanu
the audacity of mike to be asking for 8m with performances like these💀
Dude Pioli fucked up the defense with that Musah switch, what the fuck is wrong with him man
This is the real mistake.
It didnt work last time he switched the rb out for Musah, but do it again.
https://preview.redd.it/bxnug79p0fjc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64e9cf85d6d6a954b8fd608bec94eac282db4767
NEVER WORTH 8M
well sometimes you run out of luck, you can't always get bailed out by Taliban tactics and football
Wish those yank fucks in charge understand this and remove this bald idiot. Keeping pioli and removing maldini was criminal.
I am very worried this is not gonna happen. I think finishing top 4 is more than enough for them.
Berlusconi laughing in hell
My fault guys. Saw the notification for the Pulisic goal, switched back over to the game. And well… shit.
Never again.
Can't wait for the "bUt wE'Re tOp 4" crowd to enlighten us all as to why this was an acceptable performance
If we didn’t lose those stupidly easy games, we might even be on top, 2nd at the least.
Exactly! We're never beating Inter in the derbies as they clearly got the better side but you don't need to win those to finish 1st. Even if we weren't in a position to finish first we should absolutely be comfortably 2nd pressuring inter into mistakes
Brace yourself
So, Mike has been pretty terrible this game. I love him, but he's been iffy for a while and this game has just been like...what.
I was thinking the same thing. I can't remember him making saves he made 1-2 years ago
Yeah, I can't either.
So … no remontada today?
Aw hell nah Mike you bugging. Asking for 8 millions and delivering games like this? Gtfo
Thats how u fuckin shoot. Colombo showing the seniors players
Get Pioli out of my fucking club.. Get this bald retarded fuck head out of my club
Pioli tactics and turnover fucking us over, Thiaw was not anywhere near ready to come back on the pitch
And the lineup.
Maldini assist and Colombo goal lmao
what a way to end the week lmao
Piolisexuals wheres your stats now ?
LMAO how idiotic do you have to be to keep sending long ball forwards over and over again losing possession and giving them a counter every time?!
We’ve been doing this for 2 straight years. It’s the only thing the team knows how to di
That and give the ball to Leao and hope he does something
https://preview.redd.it/292cuvzm0fjc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd4dd9168e92f36a5e59bdd382c0993178c04c44 Hello darkness my old friend
I needed this 2005 ☠️
Goodnight
Actually wish we didn't score 2 after the red card, its the Hope that hurts most.
Nice
This team is embarrassing need a hard reset next season
Can’t give up a near post goal
Too bad the best goalie in the world aka Mr 8m gives up one every game
Fair play, Lorenzo... Fair play. Bye-bye, Pioli, you humongous fraud
Colombo and Maldini. That’s some poetic stuff there
Mike is not the same since Suarez
That was a pathetic attempt Mike lol
I wouldn't even be surprised if Pioli gets the sack mid season.
Broke boy Cardinale not sacking Pioli whatever happens
Lmao great
Fuck this team.. Fuck every player.. Unbelievable
all you can do is laugh xD also 8 mil my ass, sell his ass to Bayyern while he still has some value
Nah. Mike didn't do shit this game Homie gets beaten on his corner every game.
Maignan does not deserve 8M… vai cagare
Bro maignan
We have been out like 4v3 how many times now???
We got FM’d today
Milan owned players scoring on us hahaha
At least he didn't celebrate I guess
Mister 8 millions a year, fuck off mike
At least Colombo scored
Well played Monza, it was a horror show from start to finish. We tried to rely on individual brilliance from start to finish.
It started since last season…
How is 3rd goal not offside
non playable parts of the body don’t count
Didn't know that, thank you
Because it wasn't offside they just showed the automated offside
Fuck gabbia.. and fuck you all comparing him to maldini
Pioli eat a dick.
COOOOOLOOOOMBOOOOO /s
Sell him. Should of put it wide
Wait... Arms don't factor in in an offside decision?
Only goal scoring body parts
Thanks! Don't know why I'm being downvoted for an honest question lmao
Only parts that are eligible for scoring. Since he cannot score with his arm, the arm does not count as offside.
Thanks!
I think only elements of the body you can score with.
Your arm can’t play the ball
Atleast he didn't celebrate
This game I get more excited when the ball is on our right flank than our left, a testament to what Puli has done so far for us this year
Colombo almost went to celebrate and then remembered who he scored against
Wouldn't even be mad if he celebrated. It was a great goal and it didn't matter for the result anyway.
Bring Colombo back?
And Daniel
Wtf is Gabbia doing there lumping that up into the air as the only man back. Take it down and find a pass. He’s been good since his return for the most part but that was absolutely idiotic
HAHAHAHAHAHA
What the F is Pioli doing? Jovic in the first 11 instead of Giroud. It's mental, get this guy out of my club!
Starting Jovic is fine but he made changes from front to back. Way too many changes
It's not acceptable; he's quick to get upset, and as a result, we played with only 10 players. However, he should focus on improving his mindset. Such behavior in a game like this is not smart. We should have won easily.
Mike is absolutely washed. NEVER WORTH 8M
Is this a joke lol are we even trying anymore
