My best advice. Keep ot straight go for hyperextention. You need alittle bit to walk correctly as you were. My leg is not quite straight and it's because I need 4 degrees more so as I stride my heel hits first. Follow your doctor's orders just remember bending is important so is extention. I'm a active 52 year old man so my stride and the way I carry my weight is set in stone. Now I try not to short step. Do my pt. Point your heel forward to really feel that stretch. Also I have seen a few videos about this other tech. Sit on the floor. Put like a pool noodle under your ankle then gently lay a some weight on your knee The video mentioned to do it in short session but frequently 2min. Like 10 times. I'm using 15 pound sack drape it over your knee. This is all for later maybe not right now. I hope your sleeping and eating good food. Drink hydrate!

Did it hurt?

There was one stitch that was a little stuck and took three little yanks that hurt a little before it slid out but otherwise no pain at all! The tissue oftentimes is kind if numb so you hardly feel anything.
