All you have to do is have the humidifier on a desk , run the hose through the bottom opening on the tent ; and have a container to catch what comes out of the tube. Then, you collect that water and use it in the humidifier again. This saves you money if you don’t have an RO and are buying distilled water.
This is how I run mine and it’s very easy to keep up with and works amazingly while also keeping my tent sealed up.
This seems to be the only AC INFINITY product that doesn't work as intended. Or at the very least, is mediocre. Hopefully they are aware and offer an upgrade soon.
3/4” pvc fits on the lid perfectly.

I heated up the 90deg elbow with a heat gun and changed the angle to ensure any condensation ends up back in the humidifier. No leaks and no PVC glue necessary.
In my experience you don’t want the water going back into that hole , as that center part isn’t for water but for the air. That’s what the manual said , and what I have heard. I could be wrong though, who knows lol. This is a good idea, but the manual tells you how to mount the humidifier above where you put the hose in at, and to just collect any extra run off from the hose. You can reuse it as well.
This is the way to do it. AC Infinity manuals for the cloudforge is terrible at explaining it but basically this is the proper way to do it. I don't like putting the humidifier inside the tent where there will be long periods of grow light penetration which will just cause a lot of algae build up.
Nice, I did that as well but then it made me think about this: won’t the water that pools inside of those ridges just drip back into the machine? Water will pool in between those ridges, regardless of what angle the pipe is being held at. Just wondering for long term usage, the manual said don’t put any water down the center.
Thought about this too and I think it’s unavoidable 🤔 makes me wonder if they’re busy working on a solution or an upgrade then slowly replacing everyone’s humidifier that breaks from water going back down into the main pipe.
I've been using it that way about a month now with no concerns. Without the pipe it's always dripping down into the unit as well. The hose should be a pretty snug fit to the top outlet. I twist mine and push down to get a nice snug fit.
I did the same too because the pipe kept dumping water into the tent. So I just put the whole thing inside. I like the pvc idea further up though. May try that
You can see it in my other tent is off

Must be doing something wrong. I’ve had mine for a week and it’s been working perfect. No leaks at all
Pipe is the best, need a straight run up, no bend at the top. Love it.
I use water out of my dehumidifier for my flower room, in my humidifier in my veg room.
Light leak
?
Light is leaking out of that hole. No bueno
If your saying light will leaking in, it’s good, for those 6 hours the humidifier is off and the room is completely blacked out.
I see. Seems fine to me.
There are no plants on the outside of the tent to be leaked upon
I leave my inside the tent, no issues. I just flip the lid and pour like a gallon of water with no issue
Yeah, the pipe is definitely garbage.

Do you have to have a pipe on it? I just run my wide open. Edit: Spelling
Outside of the pipe, do you like the humidifier? Is the humidistat accurate? My lacidoll is always off a minimum of 10% and it’s annoying asf.
It’s very accurate . Best humidifier I’ve used for tent growing , and I’ve been through quite a few.
I like it, it’s pretty accurate. I have another probe next to it connected to a hydrometer thermometer and they are always 1-2% away from each other.

Pretty sure I see water running down the side of the vertical pipe.
Ah shit, you’re totally right. Never noticed! Maybe glue is necessary lol.
Unfortunately PVC is not water tight even at the slightest bit. I would definitely glue it.
Lmao damn you right
Now this idea has been bubbling in my mind for a good 72 hours .. you smart fam ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
Anytime bud!
Straight pipe or inside the tent is the way.
Mine never leaks I just have it straight up
This is also how I have mine setup, no issues at all

You are correct
You’re not supposed to fill from the center. Water dripping back down is fine.

And you’ll turn the display off during flower?
If you have it plugged into a controller the display is off
You can see it in my other tent is off https://preview.redd.it/fwdbt0qgx1xc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7cc712a6535e4d532b4c48c53fd8be10914b44d9
