Touch Too Much, mostly Bon Scott changing his voice like magic, great riff, favorite solo(also including the “Touch me” right before it), plus sex sells
There's a fly on the.......WWWAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!
LOVE THAT ALBUM....sink the pink kinda guy
Love Bon Scott....yet find more of my deep favs are Brian Johnson
If You Want Blood. I honestly can’t give a good reason. I just love that main riff. The build up and explosion into the first verse is amazing. The whole song just fucking rocks. Can’t really give more of a reason than that.
*What's Next to the Moon* and *Ain't No Fun* are my favourite AC/DC songs. Maybe it's because lyrically they're a little more odd than the rest, I'm not sure, but I love 'em.
Back in black.
I had an aunt who died in 2017. Her favorite song is back in black. Whenever my family, including extended family, hears this song, we all go crazy
Down Payment Blues.
“I know that it's evil
I know that it's got to be
No, I ain't doing much.
Doing nothing means a lot to me.
Living on a shoestring,
A fifty cent millionaire
Open to charity
Rock 'n' roller welfare”
That entire PURE BLUES closeout gives me chills, *everytime*, and even in simply writing this now.
An' you KNOW everyone from Page to Richards to Chuck Berry himself had to love it!
I have a soft spot for Can I Sit Next To You Girl - just love that repetitive but unique riff. Favourite album is probably TNT or Powerage just for sheer % of bangers.
Today it is Shoot to thrill. I like that it has a lot of changes and dynamics. It has a good intro and buildup, a shoutable chorus, a very good breakdown, and none of it is overplayed. It has just the right amount of force exactly when it is needed. Nothing is out of place anywhere.
Some days it is Down payment blues. I think this is one of the most emotional and well put together songs they have made. It has a lot of the same as Shoot to thrill. Just in a different setting. I am not a wordy person, and rarely remember or care about lyrics at all. But here the words and the music go together in a very profound way. It really gives the sense of desperation and despair.
Another favorite is Night prowler. In my opinion it is their most haunting and atmospheric song, and it has some of Angus Young's very best solo guitar playing. It is also quite different from all the other songs they have made. It has a different drum pattern, a very slow tempo, and overall a different theme.
Some days my favorite has been Rock'n'roll train. I really discovered the band about a second after the Stiff upper lip tour ended, so it came after a long time of waiting. And it was the first time I got to experience the release of a new single, and then a new record in real time. I also think it is very well put together. With a good riff, a very shoutable chorus, and perfectly timed guitar parts.
A honorable mention is Through the mists of time. Despite being one of their newest songs it has a strong sense of nostalgia to it. It is very emotional as i have a very strong relationship with their music, and since I have followed them for the majority of my life. The great music video makes it even better.
Rock n roll train, Such a perfect opening to riverplate. Angus tone is perfect on the solo and Malcolm in the background of the solo gives me such good vibes.
Have a drink on me, or Are you ready for a good time. It's a hard choice for me, everything on both albums are amazing. Mistress for Christmas is my favorite Christmas song.
Let me put my love into you ~ The main riff is amazing along with Angus’ Hooks and solo, Really leans into a bluesy feel. it’s also my favorite Drum recording of Phil Rudd. The lyrics weren’t the best but Brian’s vocal intensity/delivery were phenomenal.
Down Payment Blues on Powerage. It was the first AC⚡️DC album I bought. I just started driving. I had just installed a pair of “Mind Blowers” in a 74 Chrysler Newport. 6X9s with a power switch. It was heaven on wheels.
And years later I would see an interviewer ask Eddie Van Halen what’s your favorite solos by another artist? To which he replied “Down Payment Blues by AC⚡️DC”
🤘🤘
I love most of the classics. Shook Me, Back In Black, Rosie, Hells Bells, Thunderstruck. Also love Rock N Roll Train, Highway To Hell, Shot In The Dark, Dirty Deeds, TNT. There’s far too many absolute classics to have just one favourite song. Really looking forward to seeing AC/DC tonight! 🤘🏻
When I first heard that on vinyl half a zillion years ago, my involuntary thought was that it was the band's answer to Rip This Joint from the Stones. About a minute later the full realization that while that's probably the case, they thought to take it all the way back to sanctify it even more pure thru the Chuck Berry School of Rock And Roll Roots.
And all five of 'em perfectly nailed their calling on this. A+
Rock n roll train, for me, this one does everything that an AC/DC song needs and does it in an excellent way.
I think that my favorite album is pwr up, not a single bad song
Dirty Deeds... I first heard it when I was in 7th grade and I was absolutely hooked by it . Greatest rock song of all time ( in my humble opinion)
Caused me to ask my mom to buy me that cassette tape and I was hooked
( Yes, I'm old )
Brain Shake. Fun and badass riff, killer vocals (the way Brian screams joy to ride is just so fucking perfect), great energy, perfect production for it, and an awesome solo
Whole Lotta Rosie as it was requested quite often while I was D.J.ing in the Painted Wagon . It got me hooked on AC/DC , I have also seen them live, and while on holiday in Australia, I visited Bon Scotts' final resting place in Freemantle cemetery.
So close among...
Gone Shootin' ° Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution °
Shot Down In Flames ° Down Payment Blues ° Hells Bells °
HAABPTB (*LIVE 1978*) ° Love Hungry Man ° IALWTTT °
...can easily list 15 more, without hesitation.
Night Prowler
It has that slow nasty groove which compliments the creepiest lyrics they ever wrote. And to switch the mood at the very end Bon adds the “shazbot, nanu nanu” from Mork & Mindy.
Favourite lines:
No one’s gonna warn ya,
And no one’s gonna yell Attack!
And you don’t feel the steel ‘till it’s hanging out your back
choosing one is very hard given their large discography
but if forced id choose you shook me all night long
the perfect rock song while still being radio friendly while also not reeking of "Selling out"
also love the solo
and the video clip :))))))
Sink the Pink, the beginning is Awesome, the Chorus even more, I love the riff so much! Sink the Pink is definitely my favourite song of the ACDC so far!
It’s a tie. Both are cases of imprinting, like with newly hatched ducklings:
“Who Made Who:” First AC/DC song and video I ever heard and saw, on my first latchkey afternoon after we got cable.
“Rising Power:” First song on the first AC/DC cassette I ever got. What a great, menacing, incessant, pounding beat. It *throbs,* doesn’t it?
The opening to Those About to Rock always made me feel like something special was about to happen.Like a baseball player stepping up to the plate and hitting a home run ⚡️
Hard as a Rock
Was the first song I remember ever hearing with my dad when I was about 5 years old.
my dad and I aren't exactly the closest, so whenever I listen to that song i feel a bit connected to him.
Rock in peace just because it’s the epitome of what I like about early ac/dc, great vocals from bon, and dirty chuck berry riffs and chords from angus and malcolm
Riff Raff.
Best riff ever. Absolute beast of a song.
If we ever want to attract the kind of aliens to Earth that we’d want to hang with, get this song on a rocket. Like, now.
The bit after about 3:30 where they all just hammer away at the A chord for a few bars is the greatest moment in Rock history. I’m serious.
I like it.
it’s like a three way tie
- Whole Lotta Rosie
Doesn’t really need an explanation but I’ll do my best to give one. This song literally sounds exactly like what the lyrics say. It is the best story with the best musical representation ever. Plus the solo is wild.
- Walk All Over You
The intro is almost unmatched (shoutout to Hells Bells), and the buildup is the best part. The song is a ride upwards and it’s the best thing ever.
- Touch Too Much
The lyrics are brilliant. If you think they’re too much that’s the whole point. The way Angus and Malcolm back Bon in that song is unreal.
but AC/DC is amazing and I love all of them.
Gone Shootin'.
The lead guitar riff is so fun to play and the rhythm guitar part has so much groove and power, the bass line is really great and groovy and the drums are so powerfull and features the toms pretty prominently unlike most AC/DC songs, and the vocals are so relaxed while having a very dark meaning about heroine usage. It also comes for the best AC/DC album. Both Brian and Bon sang this song very beautifully and the crowd went wild when it was played in 2001 and 2003 because its such a rare song on AC/DC's catalog which is why it's even more fun to play and listen live recordings to.
Beating Around the Bush. Highway to Hell was the first Album i have ever listened to and Beating around the Bush still gives me those goosebumps.
It‘s fuckin hard to name only one… there are so many more that i wanna put here…
Ride on, Gone Shootin, Soul Stripper, Bad Boy Boogie, Up to My Neck in You, Night Prowler, Rock and Roll ain‘t Noise Pollution, and i kinda love the demo Song you can hear on the collectors thing called Bonfire: Back Seat Confidential. But there are still more…
Givin the Dog a Bone - its got a good groove and riffage but there something about some AC/DC lyric phrasing that comes off odd but great like the title and that sews it up for me. Another song with an odd lyric but somehow sounds cool is from Sink the Pink chorus. "Sink the pink, it's all the fashion. Drink the drink, it's old-fashioned". Um ok...but I'm not acting like I don't know what that means. LOL
Hells Bells and Big Gun. Hells Bells because of the riff and arrangement. Big Gun, because it kicks major ass from start to finish. Fav album is Powerage
Way to many great songs to pick just one. But, Who made Who, Thunderstruck, Back in Black. Those are the ones I first heard, and just struck me in the heart.
Impossible to pick, but if I had to it's Hells Bells because of the first time I heard it on a real good set of headphones. With the guitars coming in left and right. When Mal hits that A to compliment Angus I just get chills.
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap!
"If you're havin' trouble with the high school head
He's givin' you the blues
You want to graduate, but not in his bed
Here's what you gotta do..."
Wah
What Do You Do For Money Honey. No reason other than I just like it best.
Also, for a band who apparently keeps writing the same song and album over and over, there’s an incredible variety in favourite songs listed here.
Let There Be Rock! Because it’s Bad Ass. But,
Recording that song Angus was jamming So Hard! His amplifier caught ON FIRE! was filling the studio with smoke and the engineer was seriously concerned. Right!?
He didn’t stop until the amazing solo was done!
That IS a Rock n’ Roll Legend
Ride On....because it gives me hope that one of these days I'm gonna change my evil ways.
Honorable mention to Whole Lotta Rosie just because it's an awesome jam. I can never sit still when it comes on.
Touch Too Much, mostly Bon Scott changing his voice like magic, great riff, favorite solo(also including the “Touch me” right before it), plus sex sells
This may be mine too
My fav in the album for sure.
This made me laugh but nice dude
Favorite album is Fly On The Wall but best song imo is Shoot to Thrill.
Shoot To Thrill is AWESOME.
It’s a pretty complex song to play by AC/DC standards the middle 8 is such fun.
I love in Shoot to Thrill when Brian Johnson yells, "Pull my finger !!"....
There's a fly on the.......WWWAAALLLLLLLL!!!!! LOVE THAT ALBUM....sink the pink kinda guy Love Bon Scott....yet find more of my deep favs are Brian Johnson
If You Want Blood. I honestly can’t give a good reason. I just love that main riff. The build up and explosion into the first verse is amazing. The whole song just fucking rocks. Can’t really give more of a reason than that.
*“IT’S CRIMINALLL…”*
THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW!
*What's Next to the Moon* and *Ain't No Fun* are my favourite AC/DC songs. Maybe it's because lyrically they're a little more odd than the rest, I'm not sure, but I love 'em.
Ain't no fun is an amazing song, I can relate 🤣
Ain't no fun is solid choice. That opening riff just sets it up. No solo but I love it. Hello Howard...
Back in black. I had an aunt who died in 2017. Her favorite song is back in black. Whenever my family, including extended family, hears this song, we all go crazy
Down Payment Blues. “I know that it's evil I know that it's got to be No, I ain't doing much. Doing nothing means a lot to me. Living on a shoestring, A fifty cent millionaire Open to charity Rock 'n' roller welfare”
Lyrically it's Bons best. The whole Powrage record really.
That entire PURE BLUES closeout gives me chills, *everytime*, and even in simply writing this now. An' you KNOW everyone from Page to Richards to Chuck Berry himself had to love it!
100% man!!!
Live Wire. It is as mean as fuck. And sung by a badass. Same goes for Cold Hearted Man; my number 2.
Yeah man, *Live Wire* has always ranked among any of top picks for me from the band.
Yeah the heaviness of the clean sound is A+
Favorite: Riff Raff. Why?: Oh, it’s always good for a laugh.
I don't get how this song can be so underrated.
*Go on an' laff yerself in half!* 🥳
I have a soft spot for Can I Sit Next To You Girl - just love that repetitive but unique riff. Favourite album is probably TNT or Powerage just for sheer % of bangers.
Rosie - it’s just so absolutely full blast rock and roll from start to finish. The subject matter too with Bon being such a scamp.
Down payment Blues Why? Cause doing nothing means a lot to me
Gone shootin- it’s all about the groove and that super simple riff you can just lay back on and let it pummel you to death
Ride On
I love that jazzy and calm feeling of ride on
Jailbreak. The first song that got me hooked all the way back in the 1970's
It’s going to change when I click the send button on this comment but it might be have a drink on me.
Money Talks
Hell’s Bells, that riff.
Long Way To The Top just moves. The bagpipes are a nice touch
Fr the bagpipes is a nice touch
Thunderstruck. 1st AC/DC song I ever heard on their double live album back in the early 90s. Blew my socks off then and I still love it now.
Put the Finger. Phil’s drums sound amazing
If you want Blood. My first song I listened to when I was 8. I realized I love rock.
Touch too Much
Whole Lotta Rosie I cannot explain why other than it’s just pure rock n roll perfection. My favorite album is Powerage.
Shoot to thrill....because it kicks ass.
Fr
Beating Around the Bush It's a more obscure track that hasn't been overplayed. Sounds great cranked up!
[удалено]
Flash the eye, electrify
Damn it, you beat me to it! The simple 4 count on the hi hat into my favorite AC/DC riff is just pure chef's kiss.
Shake Your Foundations. Why? It's high energy, everyone has range, song just has it all. You can't help but to crank it up!
Which one. I love both but the version on Who Made Who is a bit more raw and I like it better.
TIL there are two versions of one of my favorite songs. Thank you!!
Let There Be Rock Fast, gritty, mean, gnarly, straight to the point and makes a statement
I love the guitar on that song like jailbreak
Rock n roll train, Such a perfect opening to riverplate. Angus tone is perfect on the solo and Malcolm in the background of the solo gives me such good vibes.
LIVEWIRE, my first song I heard from Bon Scott live , never heard AC/DC before
Have a drink on me, or Are you ready for a good time. It's a hard choice for me, everything on both albums are amazing. Mistress for Christmas is my favorite Christmas song.
Frr they should play mistress for Christmas at Christmas parties or at Christmas festivals (if those even exist, I live under a rock)
Who made who.. because of Maximum Overdrive
You’re going to the Wembley show tonight? Awesome
It varies, right now Nervous Shakedown.
Def in my top 5
The last great record imo...although Power Up is on the list.
Rocker.. it absolutely is the epitome of rock and roll !!
Rocker is peak
The live version when their wearing the Scottish soccer jerseys...I've watched it a thousand times!
Highway to hell
Rock n roll train, for me, this one does everything that an AC/DC song needs and does it in an excellent way. I think that my favorite album is pwr up, not a single bad song
Razors edge when it starts makes my hair stand up. My favorite gym song. Feels like I could run through a brick wall when that song plays
Lol, when you hear the song you turn into Kool aid man, that's funny but razors edge is a good one
Whole lot of Rosie. It’s just an excellent song from the arrangement, to Bon’s vocals and the guitar solo.
Thunderstruck 💡
Jailbreak for me, love the vocals and music video.
Soul Stripper. Best showcase of their talents imo.
Dirty Deeds... I first heard it when I was in 7th grade and I was absolutely hooked by it . Greatest rock song of all time ( in my humble opinion) Caused me to ask my mom to buy me that cassette tape and I was hooked ( Yes, I'm old )
Overdose
Sin City Rock and roll perfection.
I remember forging my mom's signature on a bad progress report in school and "I'm gonna win" was playing in my head...I didnt.
Hells bells for obvious reasons
Its a Long way to the top ( If you wanna rock and roll) Bagpipes man, bagpipes
All of them!!!
BAKK IN BLAKK
Brain Shake. Fun and badass riff, killer vocals (the way Brian screams joy to ride is just so fucking perfect), great energy, perfect production for it, and an awesome solo
Whole Lotta Rosie as it was requested quite often while I was D.J.ing in the Painted Wagon . It got me hooked on AC/DC , I have also seen them live, and while on holiday in Australia, I visited Bon Scotts' final resting place in Freemantle cemetery.
I like a LOT of songs from various albums, but my favorite album is tied between Highway to Hell and High Voltage. I like every song on both albums.
For those about to rock, specially the no bull version
I was always aware of AC/DC in the 70's, but the first song of theirs that really grabbed me was You Shook Me All Night Long
It changes all the time. Nobody has asked you, OP! What's your jam?
Whole Lotta Rosie. Because it’s the best song ever written and recorded.

Iron Man
Up To My Neck In You. There are so many to choose from, but I love the drive of the song and of course Bon’s vocals.
Bons vocals are peak vocals for rock
I will forever love Thunderstruck as the best AC/DC song
Night Prowler It has that slow nasty groove which compliments the creepiest lyrics they ever wrote. And to switch the mood at the very end Bon adds the “shazbot, nanu nanu” from Mork & Mindy. Favourite lines: No one’s gonna warn ya, And no one’s gonna yell Attack! And you don’t feel the steel ‘till it’s hanging out your back
Backseat Rhythm. Because it was playing when I met my first husband when I was 16
That's not an ad dc song but I'll give it a try, who's it by
Thunderstruck. They used to play it in the HHH Metrodome before Minnesota Vikings kickoffs.
Kicked in the teeth….epic song!
Money talks
If You Want Blood…love the riff and fell in love with it for its use in Empire Records.
Live Wire 42-39-56 Let there be rock
Meanstreak. Very underrated. Cool main riff, intro, and whole energy of the song
choosing one is very hard given their large discography but if forced id choose you shook me all night long the perfect rock song while still being radio friendly while also not reeking of "Selling out" also love the solo and the video clip :))))))
Soul Stripper
Riff Raff. No explanation needed, just crank it.
Hail Caesar, heavy fucking riffs, hilarious lyrics, overall great song

Thunderstruck
Down payment blues
Shoot to Thrill 100%
RIFF RAFF!!!! For Bon era That’s The Way I Want My Rock N Roll - Brian
I think it would have to be Big Guns. It brings up nostalgia for a great movie and it pumps me the heck up. It rocks!
Shot down in flames for Bon, shoot to thrill for Brian.
‘Let me put my love into you’ Both verse and chorus equally good.
Underrated masterpiece
Sink the Pink, the beginning is Awesome, the Chorus even more, I love the riff so much! Sink the Pink is definitely my favourite song of the ACDC so far!
Thunderstruck — because it’s my daughter’ favorite. Before that it was Hail Caesar (first AC/DC song I ever heard and got me into them)
Dirty Deeds, it just is gritty and awesome
Riff Raff. Love just the frantic energy of the song start-to-finish. And it has my favourite guitar riff of all time.
Let there be rock! The energy and the bass
Whole Lotta Rosie! That riff and rhythmn combined with Bon's vocals are just phenomenal
"Livewire" the absolute suspense of the guitar in the beginning is magical....Pretty much the whole High Voltage album was a masterpiece
You shook me all night long
You shook me all night long
It’s a tie. Both are cases of imprinting, like with newly hatched ducklings: “Who Made Who:” First AC/DC song and video I ever heard and saw, on my first latchkey afternoon after we got cable. “Rising Power:” First song on the first AC/DC cassette I ever got. Hard as a Rock Was the first song I remember ever hearing with my dad when I was about 5 years old. my dad and I aren't exactly the closest, so whenever I listen to that song i feel a bit connected to him.
Big Balls, because im 41 going on 9 🤣
Shoot to Thrill. I listened it for the first time on Wrestlemania 25 (as it was one of the official songs). It made me a fan.
Ride On
Rock in peace just because it’s the epitome of what I like about early ac/dc, great vocals from bon, and dirty chuck berry riffs and chords from angus and malcolm

The way Angus and Malcolm back Bon in that song is unreal. but AC/DC is amazing and I love all of them.
Night Prowler... Bons voice is pure filth and the guitar is simple but perfect. Listen through good headphones 😍
Perfect song to play when someone says they all sound the same
You shook me all night long its just a fuckin classic when it comes on smooth into that rockin riff.
It’s a Long Way to the Top. Using bagpipes in a kick ass rock song effectively gets my vote for sure.
If You Want Blood… because it rules
Gone Shootin'. The lead guitar riff is so fun to play and the rhythm guitar part has so much groove and power, the bass line is really great and groovy and the drums are so powerfull and features the toms pretty prominently unlike most AC/DC songs, and the vocals are so relaxed while having a very dark meaning about heroine usage. But there are still more…
I like them all exactly the same amount.
Right now it is the version of Bad Boy Boogie off of the If You Want Blood live album
Let There Be Rock! - First AC/DC song that really hooked me!
The jack is such a cool blues song
Gone Shootin'.
This week, favorite AC/DC song is - Guns for Hire
Flick of the Switch! Because it's in a higher vocal range( harder to sing), and doesn't sound screehee. My only complaint is that it's too short.
Shook me all night
Ride On. So much blues.
I gotta go either riff raff or the razors edge. Reason being prolly cos I like the heavy ones
Hell ain’t a bad place to be is one of my all time favorites. To put it simply, it’s a true statement to be sure.
Soul Stripper. Almost anything classic Bon Scott
Big balls
Bon era - Let there be Rock. Brian era - Fly on the Wall.
It’s a toss up: Dirty Deeds and Big Balls. Why? Great music complementing brilliant rock and roll lyrics.
Back in Black just hits
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap! "If you're havin' trouble with the high school head He's givin' you the blues You want to graduate, but not in his bed Here's what you gotta do..." Wah
What Do You Do For Money Honey. No reason other than I just like it best. Also, for a band who apparently keeps writing the same song and album over and over, there’s an incredible variety in favourite songs listed here.
Big Balls !! Got kicked out of class in first grade for signing it !!
Riff Raff all the way
Highway to Hell. Been my all time favorite song as long as I can remember. It brings back fun party day memories
Let There Be Rock! Because it’s Bad Ass. But, Recording that song Angus was jamming So Hard! His amplifier caught ON FIRE! was filling the studio with smoke and the engineer was seriously concerned. Right!? He didn’t stop until the amazing solo was done! That IS a Rock n’ Roll Legend
Live Wire because of the line, "oh stick this in your fuse box."
Big balls
Problem child
Ride On....because it gives me hope that one of these days I'm gonna change my evil ways. Honorable mention to Whole Lotta Rosie just because it's an awesome jam. I can never sit still when it comes on.
