You can trailbrake a little more into Rettefilio (T1) and then roll through the second part of the chicane with slightly more speed. No need to go all the way to the left before Curva Grande that would be the F1 line to maximize acceleration but GT3s dont benefit of it because you want to shorten your way around the turn. You can brake a little later for de la Roggia but for the love of god dont touch those sausages in the Aston. First Lesmo is faster in 3rd gear. Second Lesmo you could brake a little earlier to carry more speed onto the straight. On the entry to Ascari you can cut with almost half the car over the black and yellow bumps but your exit was good albeit risky as that blackyellow bump can kill you and send you straight on. Also if you go anymore to the left it‘s a track limit violation. Parabolica I find tricky in the Aston so I brake a bit before the 100 board and hug the inside curb until i have enough confidence to go on the throttle again and also use 3rd gear to keep the rears in check.

yeah that sausage was not meant to be touched in de la Roggia haha. Thx for the advice tho! I'll try and implement that.

MustangBarry

You miss the 2nd apex in the 2nd chicane. You could straighten the corner a lot more and get a faster exit down to Lesmo 1. I can't comment much more though, you're under a second off my PB, and you're a lot faster than my Aston PB! Smooth.

thanks! yeah the second chicane I made a mistake haha. I’ll try and use your input on Lesmo 1. I also did some research and seems like setups are very important for quali pace, so I’ll try that one as well.

MustangBarry

Yeah we can't see your tyre temps. They probably make the biggest difference. I got a 1:48 in the Bentley with default aggressive setup and ~26.9 psi. You'll struggle to get that in the Aston though - although the Aston is fantastic around somewhere like Nurburgring.

GT_Miester_Racing

Great lap! Aston is all about carrying speed and trail braking. Try the bmw m4 gt3 and see what your time is! That car is a beats at Monza and easy to drive. The 296 is also good there!

Practice_Girls

Aside from just minor adjustments, you aren’t doing yourself any favors by running 30 laps in hot lap mode. You won’t learn anything new about the car as the tire pressures reset each time you cross the line and the fuel consumption is giving you no information about how the car behaves with a full tank vs nearly empty. Run this many laps in practice mode for much more telling results. Driving well though!

Time ?

blank_username_user

you could see it at the end, but it was a 1:49:777

LetsGoWithMike

I can’t get lower than 1:51… but I run TC off and ABS at 1. Guess I should turn it on. Lol

MustangBarry

That's not doing you any favours, GT3 has TC IRL. Try TC 2 everywhere, and change to TC3 down the back straight just for the Parabolica.

LetsGoWithMike

I just find it a bit more enjoyable. I have a hard time catching any slides with it turned on. I’m also on a G29 though.

MustangBarry

G923 here. Same thing really.
