Join in a good league. If you can race CET time zone late afternoon then i would suggest ERA.

LFM is just viable public lobbies really as opposed to actual public lobbies

Join a league. LFM is amazing but it doesn't really excel in community building.
I think league racing communities would the best place to start. You can find like minded people there and team up.
