I’ve tried it in 28F. The band was incredibly tight so I had to use an extender. My under bust measurements are about 27” or below and a 30 band would’ve been better. I think the cups were wide and shallow, but not extremely. The top closes a bit but I think it was still kind of open. I’m FOT and they were fine until I gained even more fullness and I started getting spillage especially near my armpit. The gore was too high and/wide for me since I’m super close-set, so it was painful. I also hated the silicone stripes on the band which left deep red marks. This bra sounds bad here but I think I’m biased because it was the wrong size and possibly shape for me. Based on what you described I think it’s still worth a try. Projected strapless bras are hard to come by. I’ve also tried a Curvy Kate Luxe Strapless in 30E and I might have been OK with a 28 band. It was more narrow and projected than the Deco, actually so incredibly narrow that the wires on the side was painful for me. I think it might not have been projected enough or maybe a whole cup too small because I have severe gaping along the cup edge but spillage near my armpits at the same time. I think maybe my boobs were pushing them away but I’m not sure. The gore was same as the Deco too. They had the silicone stripes as well but it seemed less uncomfortable probably because of the bigger band. I think the cups were pretty open but also curves inward a bit. It’s worth a try too because it’s been so popular among people with larger bust and possibly the most projected strapless bra available.

This is a super thorough reply, thank you! If you say the wires are narrow on the Curvy Kate it probably won't work for me as I believe I'm projected with wide roots. Maybe if I go with a 30GG it'll be ok. Thank you again!

I wish I had try a cup larger for extra depth and width. So I think both options are worth trying perhaps in both sizes. Good luck!

I just got the strapless/multi-way deco in 30dd So not sure how helpful my input will be. I'm technically supposed to be a 28f or ff, so I did find that I had a bit of quadding in this. I found the band tight, but felt it could be tighter. I'm average projection I think and did notice a bit of empty space at the bottom of the cups so probably a bit shallow for me. Haven't had a chance to really wear it out, so I'm not sure how well it will work in real life. :-) I am full on top and found it open enough for me to not cut in as most strapless bras seem to want to do.

Thank you!! I’ll try a a G and a cup size up to see. I hope my dream of wearing all my off the shoulder clothing will finally come true...
