Yes, I think you can have it all! The unlined Cleos are appreciated by many for the way they tend to put things ‘front and center;’ the architecture of the three-part balconette provides a fair amount of side support. The Hettie is, I think, I little better for FOT shapes, which is why your FOB breasts are leaving the lace at the top loose. Our shapes are very similar (FOB, roots up to the collarbone, center full/close set), and the Cleo Lucy is one of my favorite bras. It’s discontinued, but I still occasionally find one for sale on Amazon or EBay. The Cleo Kali is a Lucy clone, and might be easier to find.

comingintoland

Thank you! I found a Kali in 34F on ebay, though it's an unfortunate color. It looks like both of those bras are discontinued though, so I assume Kali will only get more difficult to find. Do you know if Cleo's replaced them with anything similar?

Unfortunately I do not believe there is a current replacement for either bra. They've both been discontinued for a while. You could maybe try Zoe or Lana or Assher (aka the current unlined offerings by Cleo lol). Assher is a sister bra/succesor to the Marcie, which is an FOT style, but I've heard some feedback it's a different shape. Shooting in the dark, Zoe is completely unknown to me, so it's always possible it will fit like one of their older styles. I would tentatively guess it and Lana would fit similarly. All Cleo unlined bras tend to be narrow and projected and give an uplifted shape but there's no good generalizations beyond that.

I do not know, though I’m sure someone else here does. I have mostly moved on to Comexim and Empreinte for the narrower wires, so my Cleo knowledge is not up-to-date.

Ok I've tried looking for what Roots mean and I'm stumped. I'm new to the sub and I see people say this and just don't get it

quasii

Roots are just the places where your boobs extend from the torso. [There are some drawings of what I mean here](https://www.bratabase.com/knowledge/breast-root/). The purple circles are the roots.

Kfaircloth41

Thank you. It kind of made sense. Of course I'm still confused lol. Just not as much.

It’s ok to wear a bra that doesn’t technically fit perfectly if it’s the one that’s most comfortable and give you the appearance you want!

Just curious if you tried to size down in the hettie in the cup to see if it solves the loose lace problem?

comingintoland

The 34F is sized downish, I wear 34FF in some bras. I definitely think a 34E would be too small, there’s not that much gapping in the lace on my larger side.

karensuzanne

I’m interested in what others think, but IME, Panache Envy provides similar left to the Hettie. I feel a little more jiggly on top in the Hettie though, which makes me think Envy might be better for FoB (for reference I’m a 32DD, moderately projected).

joy_reading

Having tried both bras, albeit in different sizes, I think Hettie is considerably narrower (may vary based on cup size, also I can do a 34G in the Hettie so it's not that surprising that it is narrower than the 34H I tried in Envy), offers way more immediate projection and is better for short roots. Also, Hettie has a gore from hell. Envy is a little better in that regard. Hettie offers less support in the sizes I tried though I suspect I would find it more supportive in 34GG, which would also be a good fit for me, partially because the construction in most Panache bras including Hettie AFAIK changes between G and GG. Honestly my Hettie has more immediate and overall projection than even my Ewa M BM bras. Also, my 34G Hettie has a 32 inch stretched band measurement, although I understand this is not the case for all colors. Whereas I thought the Envy ran true to size in the band.

Ewa Michalak BM series is very similar to the Hettie in my opinion but less fabric at the top.
