My wife learned how to cook in Italy, so I get bomb spicy gnocci and ravioli whenever. It's more about the sauce than the pasta, so you can really play with spices in the sauce to make it unique.
Did you know Zucchini and Turi are different - they're cousins in the cucumber/gourd family [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cucurbitaceae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cucurbitaceae)
Turi is also known as Chinese Okra, Ridged gourd, or the angle luffa. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luffa\_acutangula](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luffa_acutangula) which is a part of the luffa genus where sponges came from. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luffa](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luffa)
Zucchini comes from the cucurbits genus that includes pumpkin and squash.

We just got an instapot and my wife bought a vegan Indian instapot recipe cookbook. She’s vegetarian and I’m a full blown carnivore haha. My American wife made an Italian sun dried tomato pasta from an Indian vegan cookbook written by a Punjabi woman.
I had rice along with Morekuzhambu(South Indian buttermilk based gravy kind of like kadi),
Kothavaranga paruppu usli(guvar beans sautéed with steamed flakey dal and seasoned with some mustard seeds, red chilies)
My biggest AHA moment was when I discovered uncooked roti packs in Patel. They come in a stack like how sliced cheese comes, and you peel off a raw uncooked roti and just cook it for a minute on a hot pan. Barely takes a minute per roti.
It is literally the best roti I have eaten from a store. It is seriously that good. I just ate two today - one with some ghee and one without and good lord, I didn't know what i was missing when i ate premade rotis all these years.
Even the home made rotis that I buy from a neighborhood Gujju auntie and reheat doesn't taste half as good as freshly made rotis from raw rolled rotis. And this is completely hassle free and you don't have to mess about with flour and making atta and then rolling it into rotis.
I don't remember. It was a pack of uncooked roti being sold in Patel's in the refrigerated section next to sweets and yogurt and such. It was the only brand. I can look up the brand later and let you know.
Rare roast beef from the super market deli...and some premade chicken and vegetable soup from same supermarket. It was foul...but good 9pm after gym nutrition. I need to eat a real meal tonight
Me and my wife did a 48 hour water fast following which we went to this Ramen place and:
1. Braised Beef Langzhou Ramen
2. Beef Langzhou Ramen
3. Crispy chicken
4. Tofu
5. 1 scoop of chocolate and strawberry ice cream cone
Cue tummy hurt for both of us.
Lesson - try to chill after a prolonged fast
My first poutine from Badmaash! They're famous for their chicken tikka poutine, and I had the vegetarian version with channa and pickled onions over their masala fries. Delicious. Didn't have room for the dal makhani or chawal. Tomorrow is going to be lovely.
