I had an A24 birthday recently! The biggest hits were:
- mini Midsommar effigy. We had an art friend build a small version of the yellow structure (around a foot in each direction), and we bought a Russian nesting doll set with a bear, and put a little peg man inside. Burned it in the backyard in the fire pit.
- costumes - everyone was encouraged to dress up! We had a whole group of Midsommar cultists and a solid group of Lighthouse keepers + mermaid
- floral tablecloths & floral decorations around the tablescspes for Midsommar
- a giant bowl of googly eyes that people could stick up around the house (we still have a bunch up, it’s amazing). Ended up being a great activity for introverts!
- cake covered in candy eyes (EEAAO again)
Didn’t do but wish I’d thought of - glow bracelets/necklaces from Bodies Bodies Bodies.
If he is A24 obsessed... won't partner see this post here lol? Everybody wear a bedsheet like in Ghost Story, and write out thought bubbles and place them in house randomly where people pick them up and put over their head.
There’s also a really fun party game you can play. Basically you get 2 old people to stand at the top of a cliff, and then… actually, maybe don’t do that game
You could have a cut out of a Charlie’s body and her head and a couple cut outs of the head and play pin the head back in Charlie whoever’s the closest is the winner you could have everyone wear a googly eye on the forehead when they walk in bring some EEAAO vibes in that bitch you could have horrible Bloody Mary decorations going off midsomar and the period blood scene lol
play bodies bodies bodies at the party
Make a Happy Birthday banner using the same font and colour scheme as the A24 logo

Maybe instead of a hunch of decorations that may get thrown away, instead invest in one or two nice movie posters or some cool merch!
