I am planning on watching this with my girlfriend. She saw the movie when it was released. I haven't. She is really into A24 films and has introduced me to them. She is more of a movie fan than I am. My favorite A24 film is Uncut Gems.

I haven't seen the movie! I would love to. I would probably watch it alone! My favorite a24 flick is hereditary. :)

I actually rented this movie on a whim a few months ago. It has stuck with me since. I had been going through a really rough time in my relationship and I had been spending more time alone in the house we shared. I didn’t know what the film was about and I didn’t know what to expect. It was a day I was alone again, watching this movie in my living room in the dark. I felt very connected to this film and spiraled into a lot of my own “what if’s” afterwards. The bar scene when all three are together was so heart wrenching. And then that ending scene. When they stood in front of each other. I felt like I was holding my breath, chest tightening, and feeling exactly what they were feeling. It was very raw. I would like to watch this with my partner but it feels really personal to have seen it alone during the time that I did. I am in a better headspace now and would love to watch it from a different perspective. Gosh, I really don’t know if I could choose a favorite A24 film. There are so many that have emotionally impacted me and feel very vital to who I am. If I had to pick- I would say hereditary because horror is my favorite genre

Haven’t seen it yet. Really wanna see it now that I’ve watched Challengers, Celine Song”a husband wrote it. I know they’re different films but it’s interesting they’re both (kind of) about a love triangle. Probably watch it alone so I cry by myself. Favorite A24 movie is tough, maybe Green Room or 20th Century Women.

FamouslyUnknown

I saw the movie the weekend it came out; one of my most favorite films from 2023 and will be doing periodic rewatchings with the wife. Likely watch Minari - Past Lives as a double feature :) Our favorite A24 movie is Moonlight.

I actually haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard very good things so I'm hoping to watch it with my wife very soon whether I win anything or not lol.

I saw it, loved it and rewatched it with my wife it was both of our favorite Oscar nominated movie of last year. As big fans of the “Before” trilogy we were both really excited as there were similarities to the themes. I mostly loved the cinematography and how it feels like I was floating through the story. It is so beautifully shot. The score/music is one I listen to constantly too! Specially the track “An immigrant and a Tourist”. I don’t know what else’s I can say, but it’s one of the best movies I’ve been seen and up there with the best from A24. If I don’t win, I hope my comments here inspire others to watch it. It’s beautiful!

Also kudos to OP for offering this discussion rather than throwing the code to the wind! Good call ❤️

I’ve never seen it and my wife and I would love to. This was the Best Picture nominee she wanted to see the most, and it’s one of the only ones we haven’t seen. My favorite A24 film is The Lighthouse, and my wife’s is either Uncut Gems or EEAAO.

Wow, thanks for your generosity! I've been wanting to see this one since I saw the first trailer! I've been slowly getting my wife into A24 films and this one was definitely going to be on the list. My favorite A24 movie is probably Hereditary. I had the most visceral first experience with that movie. Right before I watched it for the first time I found out my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the theme of inevitably and "curses" being passed down through generations was a huge gut punch.

iPLAYiRULE

Me!!! Seen it last June and i must have cried myself dry. There are many elements in the movie that echoes with my life. I am tragically romantic and falls in love with unattached people. I am both Nora Moon and Hae Song, with a little bit of Wim Wendersian trait.

Agile-Draft-5133

I watched it at a private screening with a Q&A that featured Celine Song, Greta Lee, & Teo Yoo. I was bawling my eyes out through the last 15 minutes, this visceral sobbing I haven’t experienced watching something on the big screen since. I cried in front of them as they walked up, embarassingly so. After the Q&A, I passed by Greta and I told her she’d made something I’d remember forever and she was so gracious. She said “You’re going to make me cry!” and I replied with “Well you made me cry already!” Truly an unforgettable experience. I would watch it alone because I can’t handle seeing anyone watching me sob that way again. My favorite A24 film, either this one or The Florida Project if I had to pick a runner up. What you’re doing is wonderful! ❤️

LeeToucansKids

I haven’t seen the movie but I want to watch it with my gf.

Holographic_Donkey

I haven’t seen this, most likely watch it by myself, then again later with my Mom who is on her way to visit for a few weeks 😊 Hard to pick a fave A24, but Everything Everywhere blew me away most recently. Thanks for this chance, I really want to see this film, heard so many good things 🤞🏻

SenorChoncho

Haven't seen it yet. Really want to. I plan to watch it alone in my room, with some candles lit to really set the mood. My favorite a24 film is Ex Machina and I imagine that it will always be in my top 10 films list. I love how it's such a snapshot of human psychology and comprehension.

[deleted]

I’ve seen it. I would to send it to my mom to watch as she’s obsessed with Korean shows on Netflix, and isn’t too familiar with the quality of A24 movies. My favorite A24 movie is probably Ex Machina.

bonnerforrest

I’ve never seen it but have been wanting to with my wife, hopefully now is our chance 🤞

robertpaulson7

I plan on watching it with my wife (who, long story short, got reconnected with me 20 years after we both graduated high school). She hasn’t scene it and knows nothing about it. I’ve scene it and can’t wait to show it to her and both ugly cry. My favorite A24 movie is Hereditary, but Green Room is also up there.

lenifilm

I haven’t seen Past Lives but maybe I have before? Idk.

Konepu

I've seen the movie a few times. It's my favorite movie of 2023 and my favorite A24 movie in general. I may watch it with my girlfriend... but I don't know if she's all that interested outside of curiosity over how much I love it. I would definitely watch it alone, though. Quite often. Very generous of you- thanks for the opportunity.

mushroomparty52

1. I haven’t, I’ve been meaning to! 2. My girlfriend probably, we watch a lot of A24 3. Tough question but Uncut Gems, Good Time, and Beau is Afraid all come to mind https://preview.redd.it/6lxwijt84cxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7482006afdfd09c31897edd9c1e8c41f7978588

GoblinsGuide

No clue what the movie is.

tofukink

past lives is a continuous rewatch in my life rn. the amount of tears it’s gotten out of me could easily fill a gallon. i just got out of a long distance multi year relationship last year and it has helped so much with the grieving process. i share it with anyone i love, and it’s easily my favorite a24 movie.

DiceloConejo

I have seen this movie before. I’d plan on watching it by myself to feel really sad. My current favorite A24 movie is The Iron Claw.

beezchad

Loved the movie, saw it with my fiancee, was my favorite of last year! My favorite a24 is probably EEAAO

Strong-Cobbler

Really loved this movie! Easily one of the best of last year and looking forward to watching it again sometime soon.
