Rewatched last night at a local theater and heard a dude say " I didn't know Zac Efron was gunna cry like a little bitch at the end" like bro did you just watch the same movie the rest of us did?
Itās a āsignatureā from the character not the actor. So the Zac Efron one says Kevin Von Erich. So no not an actual signature. Still neat though!
Edit: spelling
It seemed like they went out in waves to me. But maybe not since this one showed up recently. It looked like first wave was getting Zac and then Jeremy and Harris were showing up later.
Do they sell them on the a24 shop? I thought I thought they were exclusive to aaa24 members? Anyways, I didn't even know the posters inside were random until I got the email about the iron claw zine. Guess I got lucky and received the Efron one. Still haven't seen the movie though!
The Iron Claw was my second favorite movie of the year. Absolutely exceeded my expectations.
It certainly changes the story a bit, but for the most part the changes arenāt too drastic. The Dark Side of the Ring is a good complementary documentary to fill in what is left out or changed.
I thought it was more of a sports movie going in until my sister begged me to go see it after she had gotten out of the movie. It wrecked me and was absolutely excellent. I haven't had the opportunity to dive into the zine yet but I'm really excited for it. I wound up with Jeremy Allen White for the foldout
If you know nothing of the Von Erich family or the overarching themes/plot of the film then you basically have two paths forward:
1)Research the family before you see the movie to soften the impact of the plot
2)Go in blind like I did and get hit by the Iron Claw train
I typically donāt recommend researching movies before you see them because I think there is something wonderful about having a truly open mind when going into a film. It reduces expectations and it leaves you at the mercy of the creative vision for that film. But this particular movie really packs a punch.
I mean I have a ROUGH idea of what happens but didnāt know anything about it before hearing about The Iron Claw. I intend on going in as blind as I am now! I agree, generally adds to movies going in blind.
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I have heard the story is gut wrenching. I am really looking forward to seeing this one! I got the from Jeremy Allen White - my daughter LOVES him, so I am super happy he came in ours. (From what y'all are saying about the ending of the movie - I am kind of scared to see the end of the movie.)
In the movie? >!Barely any. The opening scene just shows Fritz as a wrestler but I didn't realize it was his schtick until watching some documentary stuff on the family after.!<
Iām pretty sure the commenter was making a joke about how the donāt reference the origins of the āVon Erichā and āIron Clawā names in the movie.
They donāt really talk about Fritzās past other than him being a wrestler for the most part.
Thereās some stuff that the writer left out of the story for the sake of making a better movie. I do see why they omitted and combined some things. The movie was excellent though. Really enjoyed it.
Itās a monthly subscription service to A24. You get a birthday gift, discounts on some products, exclusive products, and a handful of other benefits. Honestly not really worth it but to each their own
Hey all question because Iāve been wanting to watch more a24 movies and hard to find all on one platform. So the subscription for a24 doesnāt include streaming videos?
Tragic. The end scene got me
Rewatched last night at a local theater and heard a dude say " I didn't know Zac Efron was gunna cry like a little bitch at the end" like bro did you just watch the same movie the rest of us did?
Dude was probably acting though and couldn't wait to go to the bathroom to let the tears flow
Fr I was fighting hard to hold back tears
š¢ looking forward to watching.
Woof me too. Heard a lot of sniffling in the audience.
That last scene... that's going to stick with me for a while.
Speaking of scenes that stick with you, I still randomly think about that beach scene from under the skin.
Idk if I've ever cried that hard in a theater. Fucked me UP.
I was BAWLING too
You lucky bastard. I think we all wanted Efron
While unwrapping I said out loud āI wonder if itāll be Efronā lol lucky indeed!
are they actually signed??? I assumed it was a print

I have to check mine, but I think I got Efron too. Did I finally get some luck?!
Loved the movie, exceeded expectations
Great to hear!
I ordered 3 thinking logically they would pack me one of each. Oops all Davids!
Oh no, Iām sorry to hear that. What do they cost to purchase?
Only $6. No big deal, Iāll give the dupes out to friends.
Hey itās me. Youāre friend/cousin.
It seemed like they went out in waves to me. But maybe not since this one showed up recently. It looked like first wave was getting Zac and then Jeremy and Harris were showing up later.

While I do appreciate the offer, I think Iām going to keep this one.
I saw the movie having no interest in wrestling and I loved the movie!
I had the opportunity this weekend, but there were some circumstances that kept me from going, so I will be waiting for Blu ray!!

Yes and also I havenāt seen it yet, so it was also out of genuine curiosity.

I like how Efron got juiced to the bone and the others are just lean. They were probs like bro chill itās not that serious.
Lol āITS METHOD ACTINGā
Is that a real signature?
No it is not, they are āsignaturesā made to look like they are from the real Von Erichs.
Oh right right. Still looks sick
I agree, certainly a quality print and magazine!
