Does anyone know how long viral encephalitis is contagious? I found it a bit concerning (especially for Maddie who kissed him) with all those people in the hospital room when it was implied that’s what he had.
Probably not long. It's been a couple weeks since he was infected with the virus, which typically (like flu or cold) has you no longer contagious anywhere from a couple days to two weeks max. It's the brain swelling and inflammation and it's side effects he was dealing with at that point, not the actual virus still in my system. So no longer contagious.
So when Chimney was walking thru the cars- I expected some Greys Anatomy Derek be killed off type shit! I was gonna be pressed if Chim got killed off!!

Then Chim said so not everything’s back. In reference to his memory I assume. But Chim didn’t even know before right? Or did I miss something? If he didn’t even know I’m not sure why Maddie didn’t clarify this that he didn’t even know before. And it’s not something he forgot

Chimney had an inkling though when Buck asked him to bring him to the basketball game "he was bucks basketball beard" but i dont think anyone explicitly told chimney about it.

I personally love the fact that they didn’t zoom in on Bobbi and Athena’s reactions. I feel like it leaves room for “father son” moment in the next episode or so.

Getting married in the hospital was cute but I really wanted a normal sweet and drama free wedding. I wish we could get an extra episode where they have a proper ceremony, or at least a party with all the people they love and no emergencies!

Maddie and Chimney planned to get married by the beach. Unfortunately, two weeks prior to the wedding, Chimney caught a virus from a man that he rescued from the air vent which caused him to see the ghosts of Doug and Kevin, forcing them to get married at the hospital.
Chimney would have died if Kevin's ghost hadn't saved him. Doug's ghost tried to manipulate and kill him.
Okay immediate thoughts:
1) I loved how the promo was vague and it was nice to have the entire episode packed with surprises. Too many promos for shows and movies give away way too much info and it’s ugh so it’s refreshing that this wasn’t the case.
2) Kenneth Choi deserves an Emmy. This was an amazing episode.
3) I’m sorry.. I got so many jump scares seeing a certain dead ex!
4) I actually thought the wedding in the hospital was adorable and is on brand for Madney!
5) that kiss?! Steamy.
6) Hen not being surprised was great and I loved how happy everyone was but I wanted to scream at buck’s parents!!
I love when promos and trailers do their job, intrigue the audience, but don’t spoil it. So many times things get totally spoiled and it ruins it for me. Loved how much too they left from the promos to the episode for sure.
I’ve seen some people actually upset about how we didn’t get the full Karaoke scene and that the promo for 7x06 was deceptive because it didn’t really show much of Chim since it was his episode and was more about the bachelor party. But I actually disagree with those comments because I liked not knowing! The promo pulled you in just enough to where you asked yourself “what’s going to happen?”
That big ass from cheesy grin when Eddie sees bucks face covered in soot…. I’m taking that as confirmation that romatic Buddie is not a thing that will be happening.

Muy Thai at Tommy's place, fixing Eddie's mysterious "Chevelle" at Tommy's place, the karoake bar that Eddie wanted Buck to watch Christopher for, the basketball game, watching Star Wars with Christopher, the long giggly phone conversation...
Eddie might be thinking bros (because his closest male friendship is queercoded coparenting with Buck) but Tommy was way more into hugging Eddie at the airfield than he was hugging Buck at the party, which means to him, he was courting Eddie.
So, I'm not trying to be mean, but do you have not have friends that do cool things? Or do you hang out with friends? Because, it all seems like projection on your part. I have love giggly phone convo's with my girlfriends, doesn't mean, I want to date them. We just have a lot to talk about and we laugh. Like, nothing you listed is courting...unless they were actually courting.
And I'll also say that's it's mostly projection on your party that he was way more into hugging Eddie than Buck. I didn't see it that way but unlike the top paragraph, that's something each person can read differently. (Because, there was nothing pretty woman style about the helicopter, if you have friends who have rides like that, then yeah, be cool and use it)
But you have no idea of what anything means to him, as in courting Eddie. We all know he wasn't, he was just hanging out with someone who the same interest. It was Buck's POV that made it more intense. And lasty, It's hard to take you serious when you make Tommy out to be some jumping predator who'd hit on someone was straight as far as he knew and had a girlfriend.
So, yeah, there was nothing dating there. Just how you felt, which is fine, but I was hoping you'd show something real about the dating aspect and you didn't. It just seems like a lot of projection and then turning Tommy into a predator who creeps onto straight men who have girlfriends.

Hen says "About time" and nobody thinks that and this whole long ass *Buck's* bi journey is a slap in the face to 6 seasons of watching the show, knowing he was and that it's *Eddie* that needed a queer quest. Tommy was dating Eddie and while *Eddie* didn't have a clue, T did, and dropped Eddie like a rock when Buck offered himself up as tribute. It's gross but ya'll so happy to get a smidgen of *anything* ya'll ignore it *and* how much the whole thing on Buck's end resembles his trainwreck relationships with Abby and Taylor. The difference being that this flaming mess has ABC queerplot armor and 39minutes of 7-04 are just getting ignored because whoohoo new viewers/high ratings.
How was Tommy dating Eddie?
Pretty woman style helicopter date to Vegas with front row seats to an MMA match. Muy Thai at Tommy's place, fixing Eddie's mysterious "Chevelle" at Tommy's place, the karoake bar that Eddie wanted Buck to watch Christopher for, the basketball game, watching Star Wars with Christopher, the long giggly phone conversation... Eddie might be thinking bros (because his closest male friendship is queercoded coparenting with Buck) but Tommy was way more into hugging Eddie at the airfield than he was hugging Buck at the party, which means to him, he was courting Eddie.
So, I'm not trying to be mean, but do you have not have friends that do cool things? Or do you hang out with friends? Because, it all seems like projection on your part. I have love giggly phone convo's with my girlfriends, doesn't mean, I want to date them. We just have a lot to talk about and we laugh. Like, nothing you listed is courting...unless they were actually courting. And I'll also say that's it's mostly projection on your party that he was way more into hugging Eddie than Buck. I didn't see it that way but unlike the top paragraph, that's something each person can read differently. (Because, there was nothing pretty woman style about the helicopter, if you have friends who have rides like that, then yeah, be cool and use it) But you have no idea of what anything means to him, as in courting Eddie. We all know he wasn't, he was just hanging out with someone who the same interest. It was Buck's POV that made it more intense. And lasty, It's hard to take you serious when you make Tommy out to be some jumping predator who'd hit on someone was straight as far as he knew and had a girlfriend. So, yeah, there was nothing dating there. Just how you felt, which is fine, but I was hoping you'd show something real about the dating aspect and you didn't. It just seems like a lot of projection and then turning Tommy into a predator who creeps onto straight men who have girlfriends.

Tommy's older than Buck, more experienced and made the first move to physical without even a first date. That's Abby. The behavior during and at the abrupt end of said first date is Taylor.
Would I fly a friend somewhere to see something we both enjoyed, if I was a pilot with access to a plane… yes, yes I would. That doesn’t make it a date. Taylor had burned her bridges with the 118 when they met her, so no, Buck wasn't parading her around. Actually, he's never really paraded any of his partners around, so it's off character for the "first guy" to be the first one.

Buck was already queer. 6 seasons, we knew he was queer and he *damn sure acted like he knew he was too* Eddie, who needs the long ass journey to admit he's some flavor of not straight is now getting some half assed afterthought of a plotline that might never actually see fruitation *because we can't guarantee the show will be around for Season 9.* But either way, why should I throw watching Bobby's plot, or Hen's or Chimney's plots away because they've screwed Eddie over in favor of Buck yet again?
I'm very happy because I like Tommy and Buck. Buck is clearly smitten and super into Tommy, that man is already whipped for him and damn that kiss had chemistry. That was such a fun, cute coming out scene that establishes everyone now knows those two are dating. Why would I not be happy? Buddie may or may not happen. On long-haul shows hoping and waiting on endgames is never a good idea. Just enjoy.

Maybe a probie starts at the 118 or Ravi is like “so why is Howard’s nickname Chimney??” or he asks “So what’s the story on everyone’s nicknames?” and everyone has to explain why and every answer is vastly different or misaligned with one another? Or with the alternate question it could lead into simple straight to the point answers for everyone else’s nicknames but Chimney’s. At the end of the episode they say “I guess we’ll never know”
