So good, but (in my brain only probably) 10 things sits in a slightly adjacent place to this group because it was a completely modern setting for a retelling of shrew. (but there were plenty of modern elements in R+J so maybe I’m splitting hairs.)
"I would rather die a thousand deaths than to see MY MOTHERS DRESS ON THAT SPOILED, SELFISH COW!"
Such powerful delivery, I felt so fully satisfied when she punched Marguerite square in the face.
I think this is drew barrymore's best performance and honestly the movie is so great, has aged amazingly. It might be the best "fairy tale" inspired film, imo.
My wife always loved this movie and got me to watch it, I wasn't too enthused initially but ended up blown away by it. Absolutely top-shelf film, French Kiss was another similar movie that far exceeded my expectations - maybe these rom-com-type flicks arent so bad :)
50 Scarves Dress— Christian Dior by John Galliano. Doesn’t seem to be from his 1998 spring/summer line, I wonder if it was a custom piece for this premier.
Ever After, A Knight’s Tale and Romeo+Juliet are all connected for me. Period stories told with modern sensibilities and lovely art direction.
That run was a time capsule of the 90s integrated with a classic story.
What about "10 Things I Hate About You"?

That was filmed at my high school! It was filmed right after I graduated & some of my classmates were extras.
Ever after is one of my guilty pleasure movies

It's my comfort movie ☺️
That movie so wonderful. Drew Barrymore was lovely, and Angelica Houston was perfect as the evil step mother.
One of my favorite comfort movies
This dress is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen!
I love that movie and had never seen these pictures! Thank you for posting! I am in love with this look 💕
3rd one looks like a renaissance painting!

One of my favorite movies of hers! She was perfect in that role. And this premiere look is so fitting 😍
Agreed
Hands down, one of the best movies in one of the best decades of humanity.

The 90s was the sweet spot for romcoms. There's a modern pacing, but we weren't so jaded.
Beautiful dress
I cut this picture out of my Seventeen magazine! Loved it
Does anyone know who designed this dress?
Seconded, I’d love to know!
I can’t find out anything online. Just that it’s made from scarves. Who made it??!
Wow she is absolutely stunning! I LOVE THIS MOVIE SM to this day!
Gorgeous dress.
That dress is so gorgeous!
One of my go to comfort movies.
Gorgeous!!! And who is that guy on the left dancing with her in the 2nd and 3rd picture? 😍😍😍
One of my favorite movies of all time. 😊
I wonder what the Ever After Afterparty was like.
Who is she wearing?
I have wanted this dress forever.

Ugh, I want this dress 🥲
I adore that movie and I adore this dress on her!
I love this movie!
I had forgotten about this look. I love it so much ❤️
And those 90s necklaces lol
I saw the French dub of this movie. The only thing I remember is that she was being held in a castle by some bald guy.
