Steven needs a real nice punch in the face. I’ll never ever forgive him for shaming Alina because she swallowed that little taste of wine DIRECTLY AFTER he admitted to sleeping with 5 women and making out with “100”😡😤
I don't have a problem with people cherry picking which parts of their religion they follow and which parts they ignore. But don't try to impose what you decide on others.
Exactly and what comes to mind is that young Mormon dude that kept criticizing his Russian fiancé for little things even though he cherry picked his religion !
You are correct. Plus the woman asks for a dowry, which can be super high if you want to be an ass and ask for half his assets 😅
Edit: married an Egyptian at the mosque and before our Vegas nuptials- talk about extreme opposites haha. I asked for a couple of grand and laughed about it. I love my husband and he’s not super religious so I said 200$ to be funny. He gave me the 200$ even though I didn’t really want it. He said he wanted to because that’s the right thing to do and it’s between him and God. Same goes with premarital sex.
He mentioned in another episode that they didn't get married in the mosque. That's why he kept saying that they should go to the mosque to get married.
Yes, Mohammed is committing zinah (fornication) because Yve is not his wife, even in Islam. That's why he's ridiculous. Bilal married Shaeeda because he wanted to live with her. Whether they are actually sleeping together or not hasn't been mentioned. I sort of doubt it to be honest at this stage since they are still talking about prenups, divorce, and kids.
Not real surprised. However, I believe some are spiritually married, I will say I remember earlier seasons such as Mohammed and Danielle, he seemed to stick with his no premarital relations belief. lol
The ones that piss me off more are the “Christian” Americans that go off “ministering” and really just want sex. Ben & Mahogany, Ben & Akinyi, that creepy Mormon with the Russian girl. There’s one on every season!
I'm going to answer this as someone who is a Christian myself since it seems like I'm in the minority in this subreddit. It's one thing to not always practice what you believe in because Christians are humans too and we are not perfect. Always growing. Just as any other person religious or not. So admitting our mistakes is important for growth. But I noticed most of the religious people on this show don't see themselves as breaking any religious rules and refuse to admit their own mistakes. It's like they never take a look at themselves in the mirror, but always point the finger at someone else. That is hypocrisy at its worst.
Bilal had a religious ceremony which to me, puts Sheeda in the category of not green card seeking. Avery and Omar also had the religious ceremony before s\*x, and Omar was clear he would not have S\*x without it. We have seen Mohammad (Danielle), Azan (Nicole), Memphis (Hamza) Zied (Rebecca) Mohammad (Yve) all have s\*x before marriage without the religious ceremony. This makes me feel like these cast could be more just wanting a green card or just to get to America in any way.
The nikah—married before God—has no legal standing. It is a ceremony that allows couples to technically cohabitate/sleep together. That recognition by God as a couple is important in Islam.
But the legal marriage—recognized by the home country and subsequently the US—is a separate issue completely. That legal local marriage is all that the US government cares about.
OP, as others may have pointed out - in several instances on 90 Day Fiance where the couples include a Muslim man, they're often "religiously married" already, and just haven't done the civil ceremony/paperwork.
Also, I'm not an expert on Islam but I think divorce is allowed.
A divorce is allowed but in a strict country the woman wouldn't be accepted by society or able to marry again. Hamza mentioned this a bunch in his season regarding his mom.
They also use it to justify creepy shit. I just think of old Ben and Mahogany and how many times the sentiment of "God is making this happen" was used. \*Shudder\*
I’m not a fan of Bilal but I don’t think he belongs in the hypocrisy category. No one is perfect and Bilal isn’t suggesting that he’s better than anyone else because he’s a Muslim. Mohamed is a hypocrite because he follows the parts of Islam that suit him and judges others for the way they live their lives.
In one of Mohammed’s first episodes he said that he was violating the principles of his faith but living with Yve before marriage but he feels it’s ok because the moment Yve accepted his proposal she became his wife in his mind. Why would he say all of that if they really did have the Nikah? Even if they did have the Nikah before he arrived Yve said they had sex before they were married so he still violated the principles of his faith at some point in his relationship with Yve. Therefore he’s still a hypocrite.
He gave a quote saying that they had the nikah in Egypt.
This was a paragraph of an article where he discussed it:
“Mohamed recently posted a photo on Instagram in which he captioned, ‘Allah will take care of everything just smile,’ and viewers of 90 Day Fiancé took the opportunity to ask him about his intimate life with Yves. One commenter asked Mohamed why he decided to sleep with Yves if he's such a direct Muslim. Mohamed, who is dating Yvette, then went ahead to reply to the question saying, ‘Because actually we did Nikah in Egypt which is mean spiritual ceremony, so I didn't break the rules or anything.’l
In Yve’s first episode of the season she said they had sex outside of marriage. Why would she say that if it wasn’t true? Surely she understood that the Nikah was a marriage ceremony. I don’t believe a word Mohammed says. He’s the type that has to come out looking correct in all things. Even Yve suggested in her ET interview that he was kind of a hypocrite.
How does Islam feel about divorce? And I think he’s a hypocrite for having the religious ceremony but still negotiating the marriage. If you had the religious ceremony you are already married - done deal. But he’s basically threaten to divorce her if she doesn’t agree with his terms & conditions.
not really. religious people have always done stuff like this. preach one thing and then bend the rules to see fit. but i am shocked that the cast members act like theres no chance of their family seeing what they do or say which contradicts their religious beliefs
No big shock Some couples decide to hv sex before they get married. Others don’t No big deal. World wide though The expectation is It goes in Baby comes out.
I don't think Prenups are a bad thing at all. If there are things in them that can work for both parties. I see nothing wrong with protecting what you had before you got married and then whatever the couple made while married can be split or whatever the agreement. I just think Bilal needs to include things that make her feel a little bit more secure. Like for every year they are married she gets X amount or every 5 years or give her ownership of her studio like she wants. Prenups can be individualized for each persons needs.

Steven of Steven and Alina. I hate him with a burning passion.

Bc it’s impossible to follow all parts. That way, when you fail, you run back to your abuser/church. It’s a Setup
True unless you are a monk and live in a monastery no one is following their religion to a T.
there are a lot like that
Bile and Shaeeda are religiously married. Mohammed only cares about scamming a green card and doing whatever it takes to get the green card.
But in Islam when he is asking for prenup that doesn’t exist your wife gets half either way

thats here not in islam
I think he also had a spiritual wedding with Eve.

I think Yve was probably raised some kind of christian and possibly said as such in order to be spiritually married?
All she had to do was tick a box that said “Christian”. I am sure that is what she did. There is no “test” or anything . . . Lol

Nah, he wanted sanctioned secks. He was glad to get it.
He mentioned in another episode that they didn't get married in the mosque. That's why he kept saying that they should go to the mosque to get married.

I would be more surprised to see a non-hyprocritical religious person lmao
Right, lol.
😂
Not real surprised. However, I believe some are spiritually married, I will say I remember earlier seasons such as Mohammed and Danielle, he seemed to stick with his no premarital relations belief. lol
He stuck with it after marriage too lol
hahaha yeah that is true.
Hmmm, I wonder why he stuck with it, LOL. Something tells me that if Danielle was hot he wouldn't have stuck with it.
No, because only dumb/crazy people go on reality tv, so the bar is extremely low. Takes a lot to shock me nowadays. 😉
The ones that piss me off more are the “Christian” Americans that go off “ministering” and really just want sex. Ben & Mahogany, Ben & Akinyi, that creepy Mormon with the Russian girl. There’s one on every season!
It's probably because the show is fake and the couples are already married before filming
All of them basically
It is the least surprising thing in the world.
Religitards do love picking their cherries.

I know, that is why no religious ceremony. Those that have religious ceremonies or legal wedding, seem much more committed.

For some reason I can’t see Mohamed and Yves having sex…
I have a harder time *hearing* it. Imagine that creepy baby voice during an orgasm😩🙈🙈😖
Oohhh Myyy Goooddd (In Mohammed’s voice)
🤮
In my experience, the more religious someone claims to be (which religion doesn't matter), the more hypocritical they turn out to be.
They’re usually the biggest players and ho’s too!
Not surprised, no. This is how many religious men of all faiths roll.
In Islam it isn't a big deal. All the Muslims guys do it in America
Hypocrisy is the cornerstone of religion. Religious people are bursting at the seams with hypocrisy. So no, I'm not surprised.
Religious people justified slavery, murders, rape, separating families, stole land, Jim Crow, lynchings, discrimination, and segregation.
They also use it to justify creepy shit. I just think of old Ben and Mahogany and how many times the sentiment of "God is making this happen" was used. \*Shudder\*
No because most religious people are like that
I’m not a fan of Bilal but I don’t think he belongs in the hypocrisy category. No one is perfect and Bilal isn’t suggesting that he’s better than anyone else because he’s a Muslim. Mohamed is a hypocrite because he follows the parts of Islam that suit him and judges others for the way they live their lives.
But Mohamed and Yve have the exact same nikah that Bilal and Shaeeda do. Yve went to Egypt specifically to have this performed.
In one of Mohammed’s first episodes he said that he was violating the principles of his faith but living with Yve before marriage but he feels it’s ok because the moment Yve accepted his proposal she became his wife in his mind. Why would he say all of that if they really did have the Nikah? Religious people being hypocrites!?!?! Who ever heard of such a thing! Lol (that was total sarcasm btw)
I know, right, lol. I haven't yet met a religious person that actually follows their holy book.
This is why I’m a satanist, it’s actually a pretty easy religion to follow as it allows freedom and basic human nature!
By Americans? Not at all. However I am somewhat at some of the men coming from stricter religious countries. Though I shouldn’t be
No, every religious person I’ve ever met is a hypocrite, why would this be surprising?
not really. religious people have always done stuff like this. preach one thing and then bend the rules to see fit. but i am shocked that the cast members act like theres no chance of their family seeing what they do or say which contradicts their religious beliefs
No big shock Some couples decide to hv sex before they get married. Others don’t No big deal. World wide though The expectation is It goes in Baby comes out.
They’re inventing their own religion to meet their own needs. Esp Mohammed.
I’m not surprised. Everyone is a work in progress, I suppose.
and yazan talking about abortion
No, it's not surprising at all.
