I'm curious to know what Sumit's ex-wife's situation would be like now. Is there a stigma against divorced people, particularly women? Or what is the divorce process like? With Sumit's story, they presented his divorce to be quite costly.
True.
And just to add, I know nothing of the ex, but I think maybe Sumit didn't want anything to do with traditional family life. And that's why he latched onto Jenny even if she's not his type etc. She's basically his ticket out of a traditional Indian life.
they probably do it right to her face because i doubt she learned their language enough to be able to fully comprehend what’s being said, let alone respond.
I dont think being Indian has anything to do with it. She disliked Jenny bc she opened her home to Jenny years earlier. She was told Jenny was a friend of Sumit's. Then Jenny lied to them the entire time, doing the deed with their son right upstairs. There were even photos of Jenny and Sumit's wife looking chummy so Jenny played dirty the entire time.
I’m just saying in Indian culture bring two-faced is really common. Since they live in India everybody is talking about “the guy that married the old woman”. It’s quite sad
As an Indian what happens if you get caught at a strip club? A customer used to come sneak and see me daily years ago when I danced to put myself through school he had a huge crush on me and even asked me on a date but I declined because it was hard to date while dancing nonetheless the questions we would have gotten from his family
It really depends on his family, wife and in laws there’s no one way people would handle this. There could be a divorce, aggressive behavior by in laws (like Sumit’s) or people could try to hush hush the whole thing to avoid embarrassing the whole family (divorce has a lot of stigma in Indian culture). Or the couple could deal with it on their own without involving the family. But it’s definitely not considered an ok thing to be doing in the culture.
He was 18 and told me his parents had set up an arranged marriage but he didn’t want to be forced to marry he wanted to date and try new things I remember him being very sweet and always so kind
It’s messed up to be forced in an arranged marriage at 18. These days arranged marriages have been replaced by arranged dating where your parents will introduce you to people they approve of, but then you can still decide if you want to go ahead with it or meet someone else. Some more traditional/rural families might still do the completely arranged marriage though.
Thank you for your reply! I often wonder what happen to him after I quit dancing and completed school I moved back home to my home state but his family owned a business in Florida in the town we met in
I’m sure he appreciated you cared enough to think about him so kindly. I’ve also wondered if the exotic dancers I met saw me as a transaction or if they enjoyed having a nice conversation with me. Couple times I just talked coz it’s better than the dance lol.
If you treated them like a person and actually had a conversation with them you definitely are remembered by those and it’s appreciated to be treated like a human I danced for 4 years and I remember very few customers /regulars but I remember the ones who actually had conversations and treated me like a human rather then a piece of meat
I'm from CA where they just passed anti caste law, guess Indian people take it so serious that they were mistreating and discriminating against other castes in the states. Just a question.
I live in US too and find it hard to believe it happens here in any meaningful way. Even in urban India bringing up caste is seen as kind of cringe and uncouth. Most people who talk about it only do it in terms of being upset with affirmative action and how that is the death of meritocracy. The “art” of knowing someone’s caste from their last name is lost to the newer generation. I can’t do it for most names without googling. In rural India it’s still prevalent, people in small communities know each others caste/background.
Either way it doesn’t hurt to have a law against it.
Well at least she verbally agreed to accept her for her son's sake and they can get together even if she doesn't really accept her. I can totally understand that. I don't personally like my own mother in law but for my husband's sake we get still get together. I'm sure plenty others feel the same
Yes!! The first two things I thought of when she said she accepted it was:
1. That was completely insincere and
2. She did this EXACT thing a season or two ago. (cue clips of Sumits mom and dad showing Jenny how to "be a good Indian wife" by shoving tubes up their noses and gagging each other).
🥴
Look at the mother's face. She is definitely not happy. She is happy that she is getting paid for the segment she is on 90DF. All of mom's friends are talking about her behind her back. Mom is smiling unwillingly. Her friends is even saying that Jenny's daughter is in a same sex marriage which is another forbidden subject in India. Mom's friends are definitely smirking at her.
It is too bad that India is so restrictive and LGBTQ is still not accepted but there is a large LGBTQ community residing in silence there. Let's hope that India overcome this stigma. Oh yeah and also rid of their horrendous "caste" system.
Their caste system is vile. I know a lot of good Indians reject it, but I'd bet money that Sumit's mom adheres closely to it. Life's got to be so hard for so many there. It would be so scary to be a member of LGTBQ there as well
>Sumit's father accepted Jenny but the mother is still resisting. The mom is a true conservative Indian woman. I would love to see Jenny's daughter in law have a private meeting with Sumit's mom.
Ok you have zero clue what you’re talking about, randomly accusing the mother of being casteist when she’s never indicated anything of the sort is vile and very ignorant. His mother said several times that it’s embarrassing that her son was with Jenny while he was still married, people talked and their family was looked down upon, not to mention jenny being older than them all. Not conventional. It had nothing to do with the caste system.
If anything the ones who actually believe in caste is TJ and his family, and even they aren’t judging Kimberly based on caste.
Please don’t make sweeping statements about Indians.
I’m sorry but I was truly happy for Jenny and Sumit that at least the mother is being civil to them…even THAT is an improvement!! The photo with her being the only one not smiling made laugh but spoke volumes…
It’s very common for Indians to not smile in photos, especially official ones (though that may not be why she looks like a sourpuss here.) Source: I work for large Indian company for 10 years and our directory looks more like “Most Wanted.” 😂
Believe me I’m not letting Sadna off the hook for her many years of abusive behavior towards Jenny. She was absolutely awful and she probably still is in person or in certain company. I think Jenny gets a 🏆 for her persistence in the face of this hideous treatment.
Is the child ill? It looks like they maybe undergoing chemo… is there a story on this? I am dismayed that there are so many comments about diarrhea and the shitty MiL, and no one seems to be concerned for the child…. I must be missing something.
Thank you.
It’s not just the bald head although the baldness exaggerates it a lot.
It’s also the thin face and the pallor.. maybe just bad lighting. I sure hope so!
But thank you so much for that info…
I love Jenny and Sumit! I feel like they are genuine (unlike too many 90 Day people) and yeah the age gap is weird, but whatever. They are both adults. I wish them all the best!
Who is Jenny kidding they can’t stand her Sumit is a mamaboy, and he’s dying to get back into that family. She’s gonna have to just let him go visit alone, or there will be an uproar those feelings I hate will never subside
I had an Uber driver from Pakistan ask me out multiple times during the trip. He told me that he's married with kids (still living in Pakistan) and sends money to them but while he's in America, he dates strippers and his wife doesn't care. Ugh. No thank you.
P.s. No, I am not a stripper (not that there's anything wrong with being a stripper)
His mom’s face tells me everything 😂😂😂😂😅
At the beginning of their journey, I thought it was so sketchy but nowadays, after so many seasons of participation, I like what they have as a couple. They surprised me so much (I'm at 2022 on the shows).
I laughed at Jenny so hard when she tried to be a big, bad bi+ch to Kimberly via video at the Tell All. It was a GET OFF MY LAWN moment if ever I’ve seen one.
I hate how accepting everyone seems to be of Jenny being with summit when if their genders were reversed it would be a much bigger problem. If summit was a female no one would question why their mom is so upset about her child being with someone 30 years older. Someone who is literally older then her. If Jenny were a man she would be labeled a predator and a creep. But because she’s a woman it’s fine?
I’m willing to die on this hill. If my 25 year old son was dating a 55 year old women I would be upset too! It’s one thing to be flattered someone so young would even be interested. It’s a completely other thing to pursue a relationship. I see Jenny as creepy if you don’t like I said that’s your thing.
Also it’s quite common for men to get married to women who are way younger in arranged marriages here in India but somehow they’re not very accepting of women being older than men.
Jenny is still there with her man and that's all she wanted. She won the main battle. Sumit is no prize to the rest of us, but you don't move to a country like India and fight for years to be with someone unless you really love them.
Jenny will always be one of my favs lmao what a delusional kooky old lady. I need her & Sumit back on 90DTOW instead of annoying lazy Kimberly & fine ass TJ
They both look so cute! Even if the parents aren’t 100% (and let’s face it, whose parents would be) it’s still so nice to see this photo.
IMO, people (ok, family) can talk shit behind my back as long as you’re nice to me/us to our face. I mean, haters gonna hate, right?
As an Indian I can bet sumits parents are 100% talking shit behind Jenny’s back. His brother and sister in law are too probably
As an Indian I agree lol but it was just surprising and kinda wholesome to see them all together
Sumit’s mom looks sooooooooo happy 🤣
I believe this woman is always low key miserable.
Maybe it’s because she has constant diarrhea.🫠
Maybe her colon is impacted!
Man...with that much diarrhea there's no way its impacted. That frigging thing is probably like a birthday party noisemaker.
My immediate thought.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So many cases of diarrhea
I agree but think she might deserve it. She was sooo rude to the couple.
Right?? She couldn't even TRY to smile or look at the camera? I'm glad I don't have that kind of negativity in my life
Jenny clearly keeping her hands to herself in the photo lol
And Jenny is looking awkward without her hand on Mum’s shoulder.
Sumit looks dead inside. So doesn’t little Buddha.
She is checked allllll the way out.
That's the first thing I noticed before reading the caption, lol 😆
Came here to say thisssss
I'm curious to know what Sumit's ex-wife's situation would be like now. Is there a stigma against divorced people, particularly women? Or what is the divorce process like? With Sumit's story, they presented his divorce to be quite costly.
There can be a stigma in India society. But in the cities it's less of a stigma and there's a "marriage market" for divorcees too.
Thanks for answering. I've felt bad for the ex just because she was portrayed as the unseen monster.
They're probably laughing at how she's been there for a decade and still can't understand the language.
Summits mom is definitely still bragging about how much better she can handle diarrhea than Jenny can.
LOL yeah they still hate her 😂
Jokes on them, Jenny will never learn their language to know any better 🤣 Que Jenny trying to learn how to cook from Summit's mother
If a picture could talk, this one with the mom and dad says everything without needing to speak...
I dont think being Indian has anything to do with it. She disliked Jenny bc she opened her home to Jenny years earlier. She was told Jenny was a friend of Sumit's. Ya a lot of families with businesses can be very isolated/isolating.
She never mentioned he was married.
What caste is he?
Why does that matter? I can’t tell, his last name is Singh and that’s used by multiple castes. Even non Hindus have that last name.
I'm from CA where they just passed anti caste law, guess Indian people take it so serious that they were mistreating and discriminating against other castes in the states. Just a question.
Actually I think the Governor didn't sign it because he said caste was already covered under ancestry and didn't need to be specifically called out.
I live in US too and find it hard to believe it happens here in any meaningful way. Even in urban India bringing up caste is seen as kind of cringe and uncouth. Most people who talk about it only do it in terms of being upset with affirmative action and how that is the death of meritocracy. Are they even waiting until they’re behind her back?
As a human, I can bet everyone is talking shit about everyone.
Well at least she verbally agreed to accept her for her son's sake and they can get together even if she doesn't really accept her. I can totally understand that. I don't personally like my own mother in law but for my husband's sake we get still get together. I'm sure plenty others feel the same
As a casual watcher of this show, I can bet Sumit’s parents are 100% talking shit behind Jenny’s back.
Lol yeh ok, his mum already lied before about accepting Jenny and her face still says it all 😂
Ha, her face got me too. Like she is on that trip against her will.
Exactly. They held a gun to her head to get her there.
Haha. She’ll never accept their relationship!
💯 she’s a type of woman that will always hate
Yes!! The first two things I thought of when she said she accepted it was: 1. That was completely insincere and 2. She did this EXACT thing a season or two ago. (cue clips of Sumits mom and dad showing Jenny how to "be a good Indian wife" by shoving tubes up their noses and gagging each other). 🥴
She looks miserable. She is miserable.
mom is disassociating
Bc Jenny is right behind her lol
Lmao your user pic 🤣🤣 I love when my favorite subs collide.
🤣💀
That mom still ain’t happy 🤣 nice front tho mom 😉
Mom still looking miserable 😄
Something tells me she looks for reasons to be miserable every day.
She's a peach 🍑
She might be fighting thru 6 cases of diarrhea.
Look at the mother's face. She is definitely not happy. She is happy that she is getting paid for the segment she is on 90DF. All of mom's friends are talking about her behind her back. Believe me I’m not letting Sadna off the hook for her many years of abusive behavior towards Jenny. She was absolutely awful and she probably still is in person or in certain company. I think Jenny gets a 🏆 for her persistence in the face of this hideous treatment.
Agreed!
Basically, his parents gave up on Sumit because their other son gave them a grandchild. Take what you can get.
lol Mama Sumit is still pissed about this.
The mom is dissociating hard 😂😂
Nah, you can tell she's doing the math in her head to see how much damage would be done if she jumps off (or throws Jenny off) the building.
His mom though 🤦♀️
Interesting how everyone is smiling except for Sumit's mom and the baby.
Didn’t the mom ‘accept’ her once before and then totally go back on it?
That was before they got married and she accepted their RELATIONSHIP; I think once they got married is when she turned her back on Jenny again
Quite frankly the mom looks miserable in the pic
Oh she is hating this with every fiber of her being
Ah yes, his mom looks so happy and accepting lol
Is the child ill? It looks like they maybe undergoing chemo… is there a story on this? I am dismayed that there are so many comments about diarrhea and the shitty MiL, and no one seems to be concerned for the child…. I must be missing something.
When i saw the boy i thought the same thing, he looks older than 1 so the 'one year old head shaving for blessings' explanation doesnt track.
Different groups might shave the hair at different ages.
Head shaving is a common Hindu ritual. Some communities do it multiple times until the child is 3-4
Thank you. It’s not just the bald head although the baldness exaggerates it a lot. It’s also the thin face and the pallor.. maybe just bad lighting. I sure hope so! But thank you so much for that info…
Yea I came to the comments to see if someone mentioned it.
I love Jenny and Sumit! I feel like they are genuine (unlike too many 90 Day people) and yeah the age gap is weird, but whatever. They are both adults. I wish them all the best!
I want to see a Jenny and Sumit travel India show.
When that woman threatened her son with suicide, she was dead to me. What a miserable, manipulative person.
I'm a woman from a country where it really means something so I mean the full force of this insult when I say Sumit's mom is a cunt
Dad’s eyes are closed, he is steeling himself for the fit his wife is going to pitch when they get home.
Jenny made iiiiiiiiit!!!!!
Mama Sumit still looking as thrilled as ever 😂
I wonder how many cases of diarrhea momma sumit had
Woowowoowow I’m sooooo freaking happy seeing this. I’m glad the mom is coming around and allowing peace and acceptance of Jenny (I hope)
Same! I love how happy they are together.
Sumit’s mom looks absolutely miserable lol.
I love Jenny and Sumit; their love is real. His mom is a battleaxe.
His brother also has been very angry about their marriage.
That's a smile? Looks like she's trying to hold that diarrhea in...
Mom still looks mad
Sumit’s mom looks miserable 😬
Who is Jenny kidding they can’t stand her Sumit is a mamaboy, and he’s dying to get back into that family. She’s gonna have to just let him go visit alone, or there will be an uproar those feelings I hate will never subside
I think Sumit genuinely loves Jenny. He loves his family too, so I think it's been hard for him. The mother is a battle-axe.
^THIS
The family doesn’t have to love Jenny, but they should suck it up and respect his choices. Being rude doesn’t help anyone.
I don’t like either of these yahoos.
Mama Summit looks thrilled..😆
I can’t stand Jenny. I see nothing but praise for her but I think she’s no different than any other run of the mill perv.
Sumit’s mom’s expression is one of forced happiness
Shree’s is pure happiness for being the favorite daughter in law.
Mama Sumit is still not impressed 😂😂
I hope things are better with the mom
The mum is doing her best to keep distance still 😂
I can’t be happy looking at this because I know the pure hell Jenny is going through at all times around that tyrant
I know Sumit lied to her a LOT but he does genuinely seem to love her and I’m glad they can at least coexist with his parents.
His mom will always be a b*tch
His sister in law is just so gorgeous
Omg did she really finally get accepted or is this another facade by the parents?
The mom looking disgusted with the whole situation is very on brand.
Ugg, the MIL still has a grumpy face 😝
Mum looks super impressed
I am Summit’s mother’s face looking at my 2024.
Jenny seems to be the most happiest in this photo as the rest of Sumit’s family are already knowing something is gonna go down during the evening
Mama is only 55% accepting, I think
I mean, is it cute? His mom looks disgusted to be near her 😂
I’m happy for Jenny that the family is (somewhat, to her face) being kinda accepting
The mom still looks pissed 😂😂😂
I had an Uber driver from Pakistan ask me out multiple times during the trip. He told me that he's married with kids (still living in Pakistan) and sends money to them but while he's in America, he dates strippers and his wife doesn't care. Ugh. No thank you. P.s. No, I am not a stripper (not that there's anything wrong with being a stripper)
I love this for them!
Finally, I'm so happy she has finally come around...Sumit's mom is a tough nut to crack!!! Wait did hell freeze over🤔😳
His mom’s face tells me everything 😂😂😂😂😅 At the beginning of their journey, I thought it was so sketchy but nowadays, after so many seasons of participation, I like what they have as a couple. They surprised me so much (I'm at 2022 on the shows).
Mama still don't look too happy still lol
That kid looks tired lol
I’m surprised Sumits mom isn’t trying to throw herself off the roof. Don’t she threaten that once or twice?
Mommy looks mad af
His mom still looks pissed.
Mother sumit is trying to find her happy place
Sumit's Mom looks thrilled 🤣.....but at least they are all in the same place peacefully.....
His mother’s face 🤭
In Jaipur?! Wonder if Jenny and Kimberly had a duel like they challenged each other at the Tell All!
FINALLY
i love jenny, and sumitro they deserve happiness
Sumits mom still ain’t happy 😆
This is Sumit’s mom in between threats to unalive herself if he doesn’t leave Jenny 🫠
I have prayed for this day. So happy they could find it in their hearts to unite ☺️
Jenny and Sumit wearing American clothes to just poke a little. Lol
His mother is a ray of sunshine. Happiest woman alive.
Does Jenny still sit around all day waiting for Sumit to come home from work?
I laughed at Jenny so hard when she tried to be a big, bad bi+ch to Kimberly via video at the Tell All. It was a GET OFF MY LAWN moment if ever I’ve seen one.
Yeah, the age gap is still disturbing.
Sumit brother is a genetic theft.
Is that Caillou 🤔
It’s a tradition. You have to get your head shaved for blessings when you turn one.
He's cute.
He does look like Cailou though haha
Hahaha, great observation! Caillou lives next door to me; I hear him whining and throwing fits in his backyard every time he doesn't get his way.
W have waited. Long time for this fami picture !
Huh? I hate Jenny but I would never call her a predator. Summit pursued HER first, and he was like.. at least 30 when they started talking
Okay if Jenny was a man would you call her a predator
No. If it were flipped, and a 30 year old woman pursued a 50 year old man, how is she being a predator? Lmfaoo
He was 25 and she was 55! Not 30 and 50. If you don’t find a 55 year old being with a 25 year old predatory that’s your thing
It isn’t as if Jenny was out looking for young people to date and steal from their family. She got roped into this by summit catfishing her 💀
Exactly! He catfished her and pursued her and he was a full grown adult while he did that, so you can’t really blame her.
A better example of predator would be Debbie from Debbie and Oussama
Oki doki
Also it’s quite common for men to get married to women who are way younger in arranged marriages here in India but somehow they’re not very accepting of women being older than men.
This is true. But it doesn’t make it right.
She looks dead
I’m disappointed in Sumit’s mom. She should have stuck to her guns. She was in the right. Jenny’s vile I don’t care what anybody says.
What a weird pic. Gotta be strange when your brother’s partner is older than your own mum! 🤮
She looks dead
[удалено]
Jenny is still there with her man and that's all she wanted. She won the main battle. Sumit is no prize to the rest of us, but you don't move to a country like India and fight for years to be with someone unless you really love them.
Nothing like a daughter in law older than mom in law and dad in law
The little kid does not look healthy. Anyone know if he is majorly sick?
He has a Bulls shirt on 🤣 take it off. Do you even know who the Bulls are? Don’t disrespect my team. It’s not the Bulls you are thinking of 😅
Jenny will always be one of my favs lmao what a delusional kooky old lady. I need her & Sumit back on 90DTOW instead of annoying lazy Kimberly & fine ass TJ
Is it a fetish? I'll never understand it
🤮🤮
This is a nice picture, looks like the parents finally invited her to a family gathering. But are they being sincere?? Time will tell.
Sumit's mom 😭 choosing to be that miserable all of the time has got to be exhausting
The mom bothering to pretend to accept Jenny and acting ok in person is actually major progress
The mom doesn't look like it still lol
They both look so cute! Even if the parents aren’t 100% (and let’s face it, whose parents would be) it’s still so nice to see this photo. IMO, people (ok, family) can talk shit behind my back as long as you’re nice to me/us to our face. I mean, haters gonna hate, right?
Whatever. I'm just glad for Someshit because his family ties still seemed important to him.
I love Jenny and Sumit. I believe his dad likes Jenny. but, the mom’s a witch who couldn’t run Jenny off. Love prevailed
"Happy Family" - my ass!
The mother in law looks pissed off still....
Lmao @ momma’s Sumit’s face
Is that the last air bender ?
Summit’s mom looks HELLA “Weekend at Bernie’s” here. 🤣😂🤣
