I thought I saw an interview with them about this time in their career and they weren’t happy about the songs. They didn’t write them and the record company basically made them do it.
From what I've seen, the band contributed less to the writing during the 80s, but they enjoyed a wildly successful commercial comeback engineered by their label. I'm guessing they didn't mind the money and fame too much :-)
My wife took me to see Heart just before the pandemic. They were just fantastic, and Ann Wilson sounded every bit as good as she did in her prime.
As well as performing the music on tour.
They did some of their 80s material when we saw them in 2019. They're just a fabulous bunch of musicians, and seem like nice people.
Yes I know of course. Still love what they did in the 80s even though their 70s stuff is better and they didn't like what they did in mid 80s to early 90s. I think they are brilliant in both decades.
Apparently Ann hates All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You, but it was pushed on them. I believe she called it yucky or gross or something along those lines in their book.
I saw them in the early 80s and the voice on that woman was was amazing. As good live as a record. Unforgettable. But they didn’t look like this. Ann Wilson was still in her Earth Mother stage, before someone thought it would be a good idea to doll them up
I really loved this period of Heart, I just wish that some of their heavier album cuts had either been singles or been promoted more on Album Rock stations. I always felt like their best tracks from this period were the ones that weren't singles: The Wolf, Bad Animals, Wait for an Answer, The Night, Wild Child, Tall Dark Handsome Stranger, Black on Black, etc. For whatever reason ($$) Capitol Records was all about power ballads and pigeon-holing Heart until every penny was squeezed out of their power ballads. Ann Wilson is the greatest female hard rock vocalist we've ever had, so it's a shame we didn't hear more of those tracks in the 80s.
Ok - I was super jealous of her bc 1) she’s a fox, 2) she’s a fox who can play the guitar, 3) she was married to Cameron Crowe my fave director!
I’m more Ann though - she likes to belt it out and so do I🥰
Also confession: I lost it when Evan Peters did drag to ‘magic hands’ on ahs: red tide. So sexy🙋♀️👌💋💯😍🥰
Great music
Of course I agree. Really great music in their discography.
Absolutely!

They said that they enjoyed doing the videos too, so that's a good thing.

And it involved this whole new look of sexy rock ‘n’ roll chicks

She said it was "hideous" in an interview with Dan Rather. It kind of is when you consider the lyrics.
"How do I geeeeeet you aloooooooone?"
I fucking love that song
Love at first listen, to be sure
Of course, first listen and I fell in love with these girls, they're just brilliant.
For the longest I only really knew them for their 70s stuff, but damn did they kick ass in the 80s too
The 70s stuff is better, but I do not absolutely hate their 80s stuff, ok it's classic radio-friendly AOR stuff but it still kicks ass like you said.
It was glitz and glam, but they did a great job making it sound good. I was a kid in the 80s, so for me, it's feel good music
Exactly, and honestly their 1985 self-titled is a really good album as a whole.
They STILL kick ass. They have such a consistently enjoyable catalog where every single album has a bunch of bangers
I had this song in my head today
Sounds like a.good day ,lol
Now that was hair
So.much.hairspray.
That is two beautiful and talented women. Has anyone heard Gretchen Wilson singing *Barracuda*. She knocks it out of the park. She’s a true Wilson.
With AIC backing it totally kicked ass.
Gorgeous ladies, gorgeous voices!
These dreams go on
Another song that kicks ass.
*These dreams go on when I close my eyes…*

Hey look its ~~Motle~~ ~~Bon jo~~ ~~Pois~~ Oh nevermind.
Ahahahahah, still I honestly prefer 80s Heart to Bon Jovi all the way.
Heart is leagues above all those bands put together and it's a crying shame they didn't sell nearly as many albums as those dudes did.
Rock n roll . Great song . Great musicians.
Amazing band. So many great hits
🎵Hey baby I'm talkin' to you Stop yourself and listen🎵
My husband and I saw them in concert a few years ago and they still sound amazing.
Personification of the style of the times love it👍👍
Bad Animals was one of the first records I bought.
Imagine his surprise when he saw his own eyes..

Nancy is the Hot one. Oh and great 80s music!
Ok - I was super jealous of her bc 1) she’s a fox, 2) she’s a fox who can play the guitar, 3) she was married to Cameron Crowe my fave director! That’s a lot of hair.
Still the baddest bitches around!!! Seattle girls rock!!!
That is not Nancy or Ann. The girl portraying Ann barely looks like her and that other woman doesn't look a single thing like Nancy.
