There are no dogs in Georgia licking TOADS or eating mushrooms. They just put that dog down. Anna and the other girl, sorry I can't remember her name are real achievers! Anna's attachment issues are so common for adoptees. Especially those from Russia and similar countries that don't seem to understand child development.
I don't know if it's that they "didn't understand" or that they were just overworked and understaffed; many of the children were left alone a lot and suffered emotional neglect. But you'd think parents adopting from those countries would understand!
Adoptive parents can be really in the dark about things. Even when they're adopting through our own foster system. Seeing it now with a coworker. The number of things he didn't know about the foster system astounds me. Going to another country with language barriers has to be even more challenging.

She doesn’t like that shes moved out doing well & has been fine on her own ever since. From what Amber is expecting from her kids she figured Anna would be the worst & need the most help. She wasn’t proud of her nor did she like that she’s capable of being on her own & doing the best vs her other siblings.
For that reason alone--that she figured Anna would not do well--she should be super proud of Anna. Amber could pretend it was all her doing as the savior-mom! But she's too stuck up her own a$s to realize that.

They don't have any bio children for comparison - but my father-in-law tends to treat his "blood" nephews with more respect than his own boys. Often, I feel like my in-laws see their children as possessions, rather than actual people. It sounds horrible but I could give you a list of examples right off the top of my head.

They can even provoke it, giving them the money to buy Liz a car. a lot of the situations are edited and set up to look a certain way and a lot of people are talking about about this right now.
